I take 2 bld press meds.....5 mgs amlodopine between 8&9 A.M.....controls well no side effects...then in evening take Benicar 20 Mgs...at 8 P.M..I am unsure if they. protect me all night....how long before they become effective and for how long do these 2 drugs stay in my system ... ## I understand your concern and as a fellow hypertension patient, I can help you with this. I am 66 yrs and for the last one year taking Amplopres 5 to control my BP. Recently I developed Tinnaitus ie a mild sound from ear comming all time.
