Can my 8 year old take benadryl if she took cheratussin 3 hours ago. ## Hi, Shelbie! I don't think combining them would be a good idea, unless her doctor recommended that you do so. The reason I am saying this is because the Cheratussin AC contains Guaifenesin and Codeine. The Codeine is a narcotic, so it can cause depression of the central nervous system, especially in children. Learn more Codeine details here and you can learn more Guaifenesin details here. The Benadryl can also cause that, so it may be too much for an 8 year old child and could put them in danger. Learn more Benadryl details here. How is she feeling?

I have a pill that has "ty017 cotenin" on it, I found this pill outside my door, what is it and what is it for? ## I can't be 100% certain, since it's a foreign medication, but from what I'm finding and if the site translators are correct, this tablet is sold under the brand name Cotenin and contains the active ingredient Dextromethorphan, which is an antitussive that's used to help prevent or treat coughing. This is available in Taiwan, but it's not a controlled medication in most countries, so someone could easily have brought it to the U.S. with them or ordered it online.
