While in Europe I got a chest cold and the pharmacy gave my husband Fluimucil 200. It worked great. Can I buy it in the USA? ## Fluimucil is listed as containing the active ingredient Acetylcysteine, the only thing it really does or a cold is help loosen the mucous. In the U.S., it is available, in small amounts, as an over the counter supplement. ## Hi! I'm on vacation in Florida and I have sinusitis.. Which pharmacies here carry acetylcysteine? My mother is 56 years old very weak suffering from fully damaged left lung & 10% of right lung affected due to TB 40 years back. Now there is no TB but she is coughing and having breathing problem, both severely since more than a month. Dr. has prescribed her NefroSave from Fourrts (Taurine 500 & Acetylcysteine 150) 2 tablets morning 2 tablets night along with other tabs & inhalers. Will it be safe for her having 2-2 tablets daily for 1 month? Does it also increases cough in some patients? Please guide me soon I am in a great stress concerning my mom's weakness & her sufferings & rib pinching continuous cough

This drug is used as an agent to break down mucus, and to treat an overdose of Acetaminophen. Fluimucil (Acetylcysteine) can be taken with our without food but it's best to take after meals to avoid gastrointestinal problems. The recommended adult dosage for the oral solution or tablet is (600 mg) per day or (200 mg) at regular intervals. For example, you could take 200 mg after breakfast, 200 mg after lunch, and 200 mg after dinner. Possible side effects...

thank you for the info i'm taking this coz of my phlegm dr.prescription. ## This contains Acetylcysteine and it helps to reduce the accumulation of phlegm and mucous. Pulminary Fibrosis Is Fluimucil helpful in treating pulminary fibrosis? ## Fluimucil contains the active ingredient Acetylcysteine, which is used as a mucolytic, so it can help clear mucous from the lungs, but no it isn't usually useful for actually treating Pulmonary Fibrosis. Where can buy with a prescription Acetylcyst 20 % ? ## There is no database to let anyone know what pharmacy has anything in stock. Have you tried checking with your local pharmacies to see if one can order it in for you? Why has it been prescribed for you? The only actual drug here is the Acetylcysteine, which mainly works as a mucolytic, so it's not going to help with blood in his urine and I am sorry, but I have no information on the safety of administering it to elderly patients. Has his urine been tested to see if he has an infection?

I thought I would share some news, I recently had problems getting Acetylcysteine 600mg, I have an NHS prescription but couldn't find it until I was told about Hard To Find Medicines a UK registered Pharmacy that specialises in unusual medicines for NHS patients. Is Antoxyl Forte a substitute of Nefrosave-500+150 Mg. ## No, they are not the same. Nefrosave contains N-Acetylcysteine and Taurine. Antoxyl forte is a multivitamin and mineral supplement, but it doesn't contain either of the ingredients that the Nefrosave does. Has someone advised you to use one of these? ## i will like to know if this is good to take

I am scheduled to have an angiogram and have been given acetylycyst 200MG/ML SOL HOSP to take 2 doses before and 4 doses afterward to keep from doing any damage to my kidneys. I can't find any thing about protecting kidneys when I try to research this drug. ## what do i mix with it and how do i take it

Effervescent tablets ## From what I was able to gather Fluimucil (active ingredient Acetylcysteine) is not marketed in the US. It is known to be marketed in other countries such as: -Brazil -Indonesia -Italy -Luxembourg -Singapore -Spain -Switzerland -Taiwan Acetylcysteine is a pharmaceutical drug used mainly as a mucolytic agent and in the management of paracetamol (acetaminophen) overdose.
