This is just a nutritional supplement, so there is no harm to long-term use, as long as you don't exceed the recommended dosage. However, the FDA warns that it may cause constipation in some people. Hi, I am 28 yr old. I have a 15 months old son whom I still breastfeed. About a couple of months back, I was diagnosed with Vitamin D defficiency and prescribed calcitrol sashet. Ever since I have taken this, I have been itching. taking citzene would reduce itching but not completely stop. Now my doctor prescribed me Shelcal os tablet, and that has aggreviated my itching. Please let me know if this will affect my son and also, please suggest a medicine to stop itching and bring back my vitamin d levels to normal. Right now, my vitamin d level is 13. I also have thyroid and I am takibg thyroup 75 mg for the same. can anyone clarify the difference between shelcal and gem cal? ## Some of the ingredients are different. Shelcal contains Calcium Carbonate and Vitamin D3. Gemcal contains:calcitriol 0.25 mcg, calcium carbonate 500 mg amd zinc 7.5 mg. So it is what they provide and their formulations, it depends on what your body needs and what your doctor recommends that you use. Mother 69 yrs chronic dry cough 3 months..changed bp medication from pinom20 to cilacar 2 months back no improvement in cough..now ongoing treatment for seasonal allergies..still no improvement in cough ## Somewhat similar for myself.but I am also taking shelcal os 500 and zyq10. Initially I stopped piñon 20 cough improved ..now again it has started.I am also afraid to stop in fear thT my bp will go up.please suggest remedy ## Cocerned sin, how long has she been taking the Atorvastatin? Because that could also cause a cough. Me and Myself, once that cough happens with any given medication, it doesn't stop, it will continue any time you take it, so it's not surprising that it caused it, again. I am an epilepsy patient since 2006 has been on medications since then, the doctor then advised me to take mtion 100mg two in the night and in August 2011 I was diganosed with ostroprososis was also advised to take shelcal 500 and ecospirin 150, on March 8 I had seziure and had fractured lower spine, now doctor has advised to continue mtion and for ostroprosis advised fertio injection to be taken every day for 2 year. please suggest can I take both Mtion and Fertio injection, what are the side effects.
