I have a red oblong capsule with M 1772, I believe it's for pain relief. ## Pill Image This is Propoxyphene 100mgs and Acetaminophen 650mgs, a generic for Darvocet, manufactured by Mallinckrodt pharmaceuticals. It is a mild, narcotic pain reliever. If this is not prescribed for you and you are not under a doctors care, you should not take this. All narcotics, even a mild one like this have side-effects and can be addictive. On top of that, there is now a campaign going to have these removed from the US market, because Propoxyphene is a cardio-toxic agent, there have been many accidental deaths from people taking this who have experience bad reactions.
