Is anyone taking these two drugs together? My pharmacist is concerned, but both my Gastroenterologist (who prescribed it for IBS) and Psychiatrist are not concerned as I have no history of seizures. I also take Lamictal for bipolar, which was originally an anti-seizure drug. Ref: Medscape Interactions You can use that interaction checker to read more. Medline Plus Amitriptyline and Bupropion. I've been suffering from Ulcerative Colitis and IBS for about 4 years now and I have found no relief from changing my diet or othee various meds my GI doctor has prescribed me. I have (or had) flare ups at least 3-4 a week, where I would literally end up going from the fetal position, crying to the toilet for hours on end. I also have a lot of psychological issues, amongst the worst would be my OCD and Anxiety. My doctor had me on Ativan, Kolonopin, and three months ago he put me on Xanax. For the last three months, I have had only one flare up and that was the first week I started the Xanax. I Google'd it and the results were mixed; so I was wondering if anybody here could give me maybe some personal or professional experience with this? I have not changed my diet, taken any ne...

Doctor prescribed trepeline for treatment of IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) about 5 years ago as its supposed to slow down my stomach digestion process. Im not too convinced, are there any natural medicines I can take instead of trepeline? Reduced dosage down to 10mg and only take 1 in a 3 day cycle, I have trouble sleeping if I stay off it for longer than 3 days... Stomach starts running too. ## Hello, Deepguy! How are you? Yes, if you stop it without doing a very slow taper, you will experience some withdrawal effects, such as what you've described. The difference between it and the natural stuff is that this medication is actually proven to work. The natural substances aren't, so of course your doctor is going to want you to take something that has been proven to have the des...
