How long will Dicyclomine HCL remain usable past the expiration date? ## According to Solco Healthcare, the shelf-life of Bentyl (Dicyclomine) capsules [NDC 43547-634] is listed as 24 months (or 2 years): solcohealthcare.com/product/dicyclomine-capsules However, the following article from the FDA suggests that the listed 2 year shelf-life for Dicyclomine is arbitrary at best, as they declared certain lots of Doxycycline hyclate 100 mg capsules to be eligible for use beyond the manufacturer’s labeled expiration date by up to 7 YEARS for the purpose of strategic reserves and emergency preparedness: fda.gov/emergency-preparedness-and-response/mcm-legal-regulatory-and-policy-framework/expiration-date-extensions-certain-lots-doxycycline-hyclate-capsules “Most of what is known abo...

I take viberzi 100 mg twice a day for IBS-D and a long list of other medications. I take opioid pain medications which are Opana ER and Oxycodone/APAP which is prescribed by a pain management doctor. When he ran a urine drug screen it showed that I had Fentanyl in my system but it did not show Opana ER in my system. I have never in my life been prescribed or used Fentynal so there is no possible way that this drug screen is accurate. I didn't take my Opana ER the day of my drug screen / my pain management doctor appointment but I took it the night before at 10:00 pm and my doctor appointment was at 10:15 am; but it wasn't until around 11:30 am when I urinated into the cup. The Opana ER is a around the clock pain medication which you take a tablet every 12 hours and I been taking...

I am taking Trulance for IBS. Diarrhea is a side effect. If I wake up with diarrhea, should I still take Trulance? ## For me it didn’t work the horrible side effect of uncontrollable diarrhea meant that I tried for a week to get my body used to it it never did ## You should take it as your doctor has instructed. If the diarrhea is severe, and problematic, then you should discuss it with your doctor, as you may need to try a different medication. The FDA lists the other side effects of Trulance as possibly including nausea, dizziness, and gas. Ref: Trulance Information Jdragr, it takes more than a week for your body to get used to a medication, it usually takes about 4 to 5 weeks. What has your doctor advised now that you've stopped taking it?

Inactive Ingredients: - lactose anhydrous - silicon dioxide - FD&C Blue No. 1 - magnesium stearate - microcrystalline cellulose - corn starch - propylene glycol - sodium lauryl sulfate Ref: DailyMed This tablet has been discontinued. I am 15 years old . My tummy is bloated since 5 weeks ago. Can duspatalin tablet (mebeverine 135mg tablet) remove bloating tummy ? What are the possible causes of tummy bloating? Need urgent help ## Duspatalin is used to treat intestinal colic, biliary colic, and irritable bowel syndrome(IBS). I would go and speak with your doctor about your bloating, self medicating is never a good idea. You never know how your body will react towards certain medications. Please post back if you have any more questions. ## Actually , i consulted 2 doctors for my bloating tummy. 1) First doctor who is GI doctor says that my bloating is likely caused by IBS; so he gave me Duspatalin and Forlax. I took the medicine for 5 days ;but it was not cured 2) Then, i went to see a second doctor who is a consultant...

I was prescribed Librax by my Gastrointeroligist for stomach pain. When I went to CVS they told me my insurance United Health Care would not pay for it. They said the cost was $3,759.00 for 60 pills. Outrageous!! I am 85 years old and cannot afford this. ## That is outrageous indeed! Are you able to get a generic version of this drug filled? Brands tend to be much more expensive. 5mg/2.5mg Chlordiazepoxide / Clidinium (60 capsules) Check this tool from GoodRx to see if any pharmacies near you will honor the discount, it seems to be substantial: Hope this helps!

I Have Severe Ulcer Pain And have Taken Hyoscyamine Sublingual Tabs With Good Results. I have meds But The Prescription Is Expired From 2007. Is It Safe To Take Now? ## According to Harvard Medical School family health article, except in rare cases (i.e. tetracycline), there is little chance of danger due to taking medications even up to 15 years beyond their expiration date. This conclusion was based upon a study conducted at the request of the US military due to stockpiles of expensive drugs they could otherwise need to replace every few years. The conclusion was that 90% of those drugs remained effective 10 - 15 years after the expiration date. I was wondering if this medication is used for the treatment of urinary track infection? And is it ok to take this medication if the expiration date is past. The expiration date was 2/16/05. Would this be safe to take and what would be the dangers of taking an expired Rx? ## yes you can take the med, the expiration date just indicates that the medication is loosing its potency. but alway contact your pc ## Symax is listed as containing Hyoscyamine, which is used to treat gastrointestinal problems, by slowing the action of the GI tract. It will not do anything to treat a bacterial infection, such as a UTI. Once expired, medications also tend to lose potency, and may not work as well as they did, when new, so it is best to dispose of them, and see your doctor. Typical side effects of Syma...

I have been taking bentyl 10mg 4 times a day as needed and zofran 4mg 2 times a day as needed for approximately 4 to 6 months. The medications have stopped most of my stomach issues. I take approximately 12 to 14 bentyl pills a week and a zofran pill every morning with 20mg of nexium. 3 weeks ago I woke up one morning and was extremely depressed and had crazy thoughts in my head including suicide. After 2 weeks of the symptoms, I spoke with my pharmacist who stated it was the bentyl causing my issues and requested I stop taking the medicine. I stopped taking all the medication approximately 9 days ago and the symptoms have eased substantially but every once in a while they come back. I'm still getting extremely anxious and having bad thoughts but they are nowhere near as bad as they...
