Ive taken them before like 6 months ago and ive never experienced this before.... ## No, that is not normal. The pink spots is/are the opiates. The pink is the refined opium (plain & simple truth)!! Raw opium sap or better known as latex is red and turns to a very dark red to black in the presence of oxygen... ## I'm sorry, but that isn't true. They are just a coloring agent that the manufacturer chose to use to distinguish their pills from the others on the market. The FDA classifies this mediation as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. There is no actual opium in this medication, refined or otherwise. Is there anything I can help with?

Dark spots on face and one on kneck. My doctor said it looks like spots from a allergic reaction to something. Every once in a while if I eat something, my bottom lip starts to swell then hours later, the dark spots start to itch and if I scratch, form redness around the spot. ## The best suggestion I can make is that you consult an allergist/immunologist, or a dermatologist to get a proper diagnosis, and discover possible treatment options. You can learn more about allergies here. How long has this been going? How many spots are there?

After a couple of weeks on Neurontin, I started getting small red spots on my skin. Now I am getting larger spots, about a half inch in diameter. My skin is also getting darker with kind of a blue cast to it. Can't reach my doctor until Monday. Does anyone know how fast one can get off the drug without serious side effects? ## I too have red spots (splotches, really) on my arms after about a month on neurontin. Thanks, I really didn't know the cause. Also, it makes me terrifically fatigued. Now I am wondering if I should stay on, or go off. I take it for neuropathy in my hands, but so far, I see no improvement. ## Go to the ER ASAP. Some medications that cause rashes cause a condition called "Stevens-Johnson's". It's extremely dangerous. Go now! ## Stevens-Johnso...

I have an open wound It burns. I have been cleaning with peroxide and using Neosporin It's now red around it. Don't know how I got it. Also I have tiny red spots, maybe ant bites or poison ivy. They itch. Because of these I can't sleep. I have a few SMZ/TMP. Can I use them.? ## Hello, Cindy! How are you? Actually, you shouldn't be using peroxide on it, it can actually damage the surrounding healthy tissue and delay or prevent healing. In most cases, when it is used, it's just for the initial cleaning of the wound, but usually, your better off just cleaning it with soap and water. Have you consulted your doctor? You should have this checked out, especially since it's gotten red around it and you have those other tiny spots. This might not be the right antibiotic t...

I am taking Incruse Ellipta 62.5mcg inhaler (1 puff by mouth per day). It makes me have red blood spots on both arms. I am allergic to milk. Could this have a milk-based inactive ingredient in it? ## Hi Faye - According to the manufacturer's prescribing information document (PDF - page 21), it states that the inactive ingredients are: - lactose monohydrate (contains milk proteins) - magnesium stearate Being allergic to milk, you could very well be having a reaction and should let you doctor know asap. Any rash / hives / swelling are all listed as more serious side effects. I hope this helps and best wishes!

They are added so that one cannot dissolve the pills and administer them intravenously. Go ahead add some water to a pill and you will see what i mean. ## You are so wrong, that's not what they're for. Get help buddy. ## The specs in vicodin is only coloring solely for identification purposes. It helps distinguish them from similar pills. Being a narcotic it helps paramedics identify them in a possible overdose. Its not there to prevent abuse like some believe. ## I'm in treatment now for hep c. Sure am glad I have the strength to erase that enlightening news!!! Anyway, I had a feeling there was something up with that! ## The red spots in Vicodin are a dye so people do not insufflate the pill. I have this weird red and grey spots on my foot and extreme pain throughout my foot as well from a subutex injection. It was very swollen for the first day or two a different started to get better then then pain just got worse and worse I can barely even walk on it. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions please comment with any suggestions at all. ## Hello, Mike! How are you doing? I'm sorry about the problem you've had. I'd suggest having it checked out by your doctor. It sounds like you may be having a bad reaction to it, or a blockage may have developed and, if that is the case, then it needs medical attention, before the tissue goes necrotic. The FDA classifies this medication as being an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potenti...

I have pinpoint red spots like a reaction of some sort. I'm on xarelto for clots found in my lungs n leg from cast n immobility... Can I take benadryl if on xarelto? ## Those could be due to bleeding, which Xarelto has been known to cause, as listed by the FDA, along with nausea, headache and easy bruising. Thus, before taking anything else to try to treat it, it would be best to have this checked out by your doctor to discover the cause. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Been on Xarelto (for atrial fib) for a year. I get occasional bright red bleeding after urination. I moved and got new doctors. Before I got hydo/acta 5-325 that had red spots on an white oval tab. Now they gave me 7.5 hydo/acta 7.5-325 that has only a white oval tab that doesn't seem to work near as good. I am not sure why, can you help? ## Hi Sammie, If each pill is manufactured by a different company, not only is there going to be a variation of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers), but also if the medication is in generic form, I've heard that the FDA permits generics to have a plus or minis 20% peak plasma concentration as well, compared to that of other brands/generics. If I understand that correctly, theoretically this means that a 7.5mg tab may only have 6mg that are actually active when the effects are at its peak - and a 5mg tab may also have 6mg that are active; ...

Can I go tan? I only have used this for one week after what may have been an allergic reaction above my eyes (in upper lids and bellow brows along with three other small spots in neck and chest). It helped the swelling and peeling and seems to have cleared up. I am still taking it to prevent recurrence, as I believe it was an allergic reaction to a specific strain of medicinal cannabis which I have been prescribed for several years. Thank you from cold and wanting to tan in Maine. ## Hello, Sarah! How are you? It would be best not to do so since this medication could make your skin more sensitive to the effects of heat and light, according to FDA reports. Other side effects may include redness, irritation, and flaking. How long will you be using it?

can clobetasol propionate cream be used for scars and age spots ## Hello, Stephani! How are you? Clobetasol is classified by the FDA as a corticosteroid, so no, it shouldn't be used for anything, unless your doctor has prescribed it to treat that. In some cases, it could actually worsen some skin conditions, rather than helping them. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including skin burning, itching, acne and redness. Is there anything else I can help with?

can you apply triamcinolone acetonide ointment to the red and irritated spots from the use of the gel. ## Hello, Harry! How are you? I wouldn't suggest doing so, unless your doctor has told you to. It may cause more irritation, since it contains a steroid, which is the Triamcinolone. Sometimes, it can make certain skin conditions or irritation worse. Its typical side effects may include skin redness, irritation and acne. How badly is the Fortesta irritating your skin? Have you consulted your doctor about it?

I have been using Efudex on spots on chest, arms and legs for 2 months now. Most spots have blistered and turned into weeping sores, some have crusted up and turned into scabs. They are all extremely itchy, the itching drives me crazy when I’ve got these sores arms, chest, legs. Around Some sores that have scabbed over further red spots/lumps have come up surrounding the original sore, like it is spreading. My doctor told me to keep using Efudex until the sores have completely healed and disappeared, is this correct? Putting Efudex on the crusty sores usually stings like mad ## Hello Glyn, According to the medlineplus government page the instructions are as follows. I'm a Disabled Army Combat Veteran and I've had, to no surprise, a slew of different types of hydocodone, but recently the pills I've been issued have red or blue spots in them. I was told by my doctor that the spotted pills absorb into your body faster and therefore begin working faster and last longer, is this fact or fiction? ## Fiction! They are all regular release tablets that will take 15 to 20 minutes to start working and the speckles in some of them make no difference to that. That's just something that the manufacturer decided to do to their tablets to set them apart from the others available on the market. Learn more Vicodin details here. Any such colors and speckles are entirely up to whit and whim and mean nothing whatsoever to the actual absorbency rate of t...

Green and white capsule. I have what seems to be a rash since I started taking it. ## Developed small red spots all over my body. ## There are two possible reasons for this: 1) If it is an itchy rash then it is possibly an allergic reaction to the antibiotic, in which case, you need to see your doctor. 2) If it is not itchy, just red spots, then you are probably suffering a side effect that some people experience from certain antibiotics, called a non-allergic skin rash.
