is carca-25 safe to take for high blood pressure ## Hi, Charlotte! How are you? Carvedilol is no more or less safe than any other medication and it is actually known to cause less side effects than many others. Learn more Carvedilol details here. Two doctors have told me to take atacand 8mg, lisinopril 5mg, and metroprol succ. 25mg for my slightly high blood pressure. Do they do the same thing is this overkill? sjr ## I honestly believe that taking those 3 different medications for 1 condition is a 'prescription overkill' as I like to call it. There are many natural alternatives for Blood Pressure control that in my opinion can be just as effective as prescription medication, with little to no side effects. I personally had high blood pressure, but was able to control it by controlling my eating habits and exercising. What works for me may not work for everyone, but my initial advice is to look into natural ways such as: Low sodium foods to help reduce inflammation; supplementation of garlic, fish oils, as well as calciu...

Trying to find out the safety of this medicine. ## My aunt had high bp. One evening she took two pills with out any food from morning. And she died 6 hours later. Is it possible? This was told by her relatives. Her age was 36 and her bp readings are 145/95. ## Only her doctor can answer that question. Her numbers aren't crazy high, but they do increase the risk of heart attack, or stroke, which can be fatal. Do you know what medication she was taking? Why didn't she take them with food? Did she take both pills at once, or separately? Altace contains the active ingredient Ramipril. I have been taking Zartan 50 for a few months for high blood pressure. I have also been taking half a Serrapress 20 in the morning for anxiety. I then had a spate of very high blood pressure at 170/115. My dr prescribed half an Urbanol in the morning and half at night. My blood pressure is now as low as 125/66. I stopped the Urbanol two days ago but my blood pressure is still low. Should I still be taking Zartan?

It is normal for those with such a heart condition to have a higher heart rate, due to the fact that their heart has to work harder than normal. I have been given Atenolol 100MG and Lisin/HCTZ 20-12.5 by one doctor and Nifedipine 60MG ER by a cardiologist and told to take all three drugs for high blood pressure. Is this normal to take 3 different medications? I'm feeling very tired all the time. ## Yes, if you had particularly high blood pressure that needs to be brought down fast, then having multiple drugs prescribed is completely normal, due to the fact that it is far too dangerous to leave it high. The tiredness you are feeling could be due to two reasons, the first could be side effects of the medications, which should taper off as your body adjusts to them. The second can be due to the blood pressure lowering, since your body is used to running at a higher level. Are you checking your BP regularly?
