Dermatop Ointment Prednicarbate

Prednicarbate is a relatively new topical corticosteroid drug. It is similar in potency to hydrocortisone. Corticosteroids have always been an important part of the pharmacological arsenal of dermatology; however, their tendency to produce side-effects has caused the need to search for new preparations.[1] It is nonhalogenated.[2] References ^ .mw-parser-output cite.citation{font-style:inherit;word-wrap:break-word}.mw-parser-output .citation q{quotes:"\"""\...

triamicinolone acetonide ## Was perscribed for nose bleeding. ## can i use kenacomb ointment to heal the wound inside my nose for 3 weeks now. thanks ## Hello, Triamcinolone acetonide ointment is used to treat a variety of skin conditions (e.g., eczema, dermatitis, allergies, rash). Triamcinolone reduces the swelling, itching, and redness that can occur in these types of conditions. This medication is a medium- to strong-potency corticosteroid. I have also heard of this being used in the nose for dryness and irritation. To use this medication: Apply a thin film of the medication to the affected area and gently rub in, usually 2 to 4 times daily or as directed by your doctor. Do not cover, bandage or wrap the area unless directed to do so by your doctor. Use this medication only on the s...

Can someone PLEASE tell me if a PRECAUTIONS LEAFLET should be inside the packet of KENACOMBE OINTMENT? I was prescribed this ointment with no leaflet to rub into my scalp for 2 weeks for infected dermatitis; my doctor of 5 years knew I had a bout of shingles two years ago and was still suffering nerve spasms in the back. After four applications of Kenacombe a rash appeared on my forehead; eyes severely itching and ears sore and itching. With no faith in the doctors in my area, I went to Brisbane for a second opinion to my rash as it was now spread to my breasts and midriff and down the top of my legs. The rash was burning and some blistering. The doctor in Brisbane indicated the Neomycin was the cause of the rash and burning and it would escalate for 14 days before easing!! imagine if I...

what is this used for ## i would like to know what this ointment is used for ## 12 years ago, at a time of great stress in my life I had terrible rash in feet/lower legs which 4 (!) dermatologists looked at, prescribed creams for, each made it worse than before. In desperation I went to NYU dermatology medical center which first told me to throw all creams & lotions prescribed and then conducted contact/other allergy tests which were all negative. They then prescribed an ointment formulated & dispensed exclusively at the hospital pharmacy, with many refills which immediately started working, i.e., it was soothing & it didn't make it worse. I refilled this many times & eventually it all went away & never came back. I kept my last jar in case it ever came back to b...

It can have an atrophy affect on treated area's skin in essence leaving it tender, tight and raw similar to a rug burn. These r easily treated but still...... Also it indicates you can have varios serious affects as well if too much is absorbed. The skin on the face and groin is softer and more absorbant ...

Can i use quadriderm for my hypertrophic scar on my knee and wrist and black spots on my leg? ## Hi sandy, Quadriderm cream contains the following active ingredients per gram of ointment: Betamethasone valerate 610 mcg (equiv to betamethasone 500 mcg) + gentamicin sulfate (equiv to gentamicin 1 mg) + tolnaftate 10 mg + clioquinol 10 mg From what I could gather, it is a topical Anti-Infective/Anti-bacterial with Corticosteroids, used to treat a wide variety of skin disorders, including; eczemas & other allergic & inflammatory dermatoses where there is secondary bacterial &/or fungal infections. As a victim of refractory depression I have only found one medication that worked, EMSAM, unfortunately I am allergic to acrylic adhesives. Has anyone found a way to get around the contact dermatitis the EMSAM acrylic matrix can cause? ## Hi Keller, While I may not have personal experience with EMSAM, I did want to suggest trying some sort of topical anti-inflammatory compound to help combat any dermatitis that might occur after applying the adhesive. A couple alternative remedies that you might want to look into are: lavender essential oil (can help reduce redness, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and more) topical ointments that contain cayenne pepper (for its great anti-inflammatory benefits) There are a plethora of other essential oils that offer similar benefits as well. I hope t...

I was given this by my dermatologist for poison ivy. So far it is not working. OTC anti-itch is helping. ## How long have you been using it? It is a steroid based cream, so it won't work instantly like some of the other topical ointments do. It will require a few days to start having an effect. Learn more Triamcinolone details here. However, many times, poison ivy will just clear up on its own, as long as you are careful not to scratch and dig at, so it spreads.

I have been prescribed Pramoxine (Pramasone) for my dermatillomania (facial sores). I had been using the cream but the pharmacy gave me the ointment once. I prefer the cream. Also, the same pharmacy gave me Pramasone by Perrigo, even though I had been previously given Pramasone by Acella. I prefer the Acella version, but the pharm says they have no way of requesting one manufacturer's medication over another. My question is, What is the difference between these two manufacturer's versions of Pramoxine/Pramasone cream? ## Hello, Starria! How are you? They are just manufactured by different companies, which is very common with generics. The FDA classifies it as a topical anesthetic and lists its typical side effects as possibly including skin numbness, redness, dryness and irritat...
