Can someone PLEASE tell me if a PRECAUTIONS LEAFLET should be inside the packet of KENACOMBE OINTMENT? I was prescribed this ointment with no leaflet to rub into my scalp for 2 weeks for infected dermatitis; my doctor of 5 years knew I had a bout of shingles two years ago and was still suffering nerve spasms in the back. After four applications of Kenacombe a rash appeared on my forehead; eyes severely itching and ears sore and itching. With no faith in the doctors in my area, I went to Brisbane for a second opinion to my rash as it was now spread to my breasts and midriff and down the top of my legs. what is this used for ## i would like to know what this ointment is used for ## 12 years ago, at a time of great stress in my life I had terrible rash in feet/lower legs which 4 (!) dermatologists looked at, prescribed creams for, each made it worse than before. In desperation I went to NYU dermatology medical center which first told me to throw all creams & lotions prescribed and then conducted contact/other allergy tests which were all negative. I was using persivate cream that made my skin a few shades lighter. Now I'm using persivate ointment and I want to know if it will make my skin lighter as well? ## persivate ointment doesn't really enlighten skin, helps with rash and pimples. but it is not to be used for more than three to six months, it actually dangerous coz once u start using it u can't stop. As a victim of refractory depression I have only found one medication that worked, EMSAM, unfortunately I am allergic to acrylic adhesives. Has anyone found a way to get around the contact dermatitis the EMSAM acrylic matrix can cause? ## Hi Keller, While I may not have personal experience with EMSAM, I did want to suggest trying some sort of topical anti-inflammatory compound to help combat any dermatitis that might occur after applying the adhesive. I was given this by my dermatologist for poison ivy. So far it is not working. OTC anti-itch is helping. ## How long have you been using it? It is a steroid based cream, so it won't work instantly like some of the other topical ointments do. It will require a few days to start having an effect. Learn more Triamcinolone details here. I recently had either a spider bite or some type of staph-like boil come on my left side. It is extremely hard under the skin and I'm wondering if this ointment will do any good. I have been prescribed Pramoxine (Pramasone) for my dermatillomania (facial sores). I had been using the cream but the pharmacy gave me the ointment once. I prefer the cream. Also, the same pharmacy gave me Pramasone by Perrigo, even though I had been previously given Pramasone by Acella. I prefer the Acella version, but the pharm says they have no way of requesting one manufacturer's medication over another.
