I am 69 yr. old male living in NY State. I was put on Amiodarone in Dec. 2021, 200mg/day. I summarily stopped the med. in Nov. 2022 when the morbid depression turned to distinctly suicidal thoughts. As always, when I experience new adverse effects I re-read, carefully, the side effects of the most recent med. added to my regimen. In this case it was Amiodarone and I immediately knew what was happening. In the final section generally labeled as, "call your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects", I was experiencing several of the worst case scenario side effects. 1. Limit yourself to one pharmacy and one prescriber of any narcotic. If you have another Dr. That's OK with you staying with another, I suggest you mention the drug or at least be honest about your mixing medicines and prescibers. Most will check you for polydrug use. If you break the covenant about getting controlled drugs from many sources chances as they will drop you as a patient. Also, the RPh may alert the staff of your dishonesty. Always give 24 hours notice at least on refill requests. The problem is with obtaining over the maximum allowable amount of controlled Rx's is the possibility of divertion or addiction and before you know it, your consumption no longer controls your cause of pain. Have been on Eliquis for about 4 weeks as a result of an AFib event and ER visit, turning into a week hospital stay. Terrible side effects. I sway between teeth-chattering coldness to profuse heat and sweating. My bedding is soaked through every night. But, worse of all is this funky medicinal body odor that I can't escape, even with 3-4 baths/showers a day. It's so disgusting that it makes me sick to my stomach. I am on levothyroxine, linzess, omeprazole, ospemifene and (topiramate 2x daily). How am I supposed to space these medications apart so that I receive the full benefit from each one? I obtained medium size hot pink circular pills. On one side it's scored , on the other it is blank. I can't find a legit source as to what these are. Could be anything I know... I've seen ppl say oxycodone ... Possible allegations that they were given to me before they were imprinted with identification .
