I am trying to find a doctor or pain clinic in Western Massachusetts (Springfield / Westfield Area) for my wife, the doctor she was seeing took her off the fentanyl patches and oxycodone when she got pregnant with our 3rd daughter. She was on them for a lower back problem where the disk had ruptured requiring emergency surgery and combination sciatica issues and fibromyalgia. the problem came about while my wife was pregnant the medical practice the Dr was a apart of closed down and the doctor opened her own private practice and now does not prescribe at all to anyone for any reason at all. I have been calling around and it seem's like none of the practices prescribe at all. we got her into Baystate Pain Management in Springfield Mass but they lied to us over the phone. we waited 2 ...
Filed under Oxycodonei have been in the same pain management office for about 10 years. i had experimental back surgury in 2005. i had a titanium disc replacement in my lumber spine at l5-s1. since then the pain has gotten a lot worse. my pain management doctor tried me on a few different pain meds, but i decided percocet 5 3 times a day was sufficient. over time, my body built up a tolerance and i continued to get procedures there to help with the pain, but i kept telling my doctor i was still in excruciating pain. unfortunately, i couldn't handle the pain anymore and my boyfriend at the time started doing dope and convinced meta try it too. thank god it was only for a few months, that was over a year ago. i went back into my pain management center to get help and they put me on suboxone. i hate myself ...

I am in Agony. I love my Primary, he is a great guy. ## Hi, I'm originally from Massachusetts but moved to GA for the last 8 years and am moving back to MA now. I've had many neck, shoulders, arm surgeries and have major back pain and am looking for a pain clinic in New England. I've had ongoing chronic pain for over 20 years now. My pain clinic in GA is currently giving me 30 mg oxycodone 3x a day, so 90 a month. I'm not a drug seeker but am in agony without medication. I understand the laws have changed but people in pain still need pain Dr's and management. Any help is gr...
I have lower back pain deg fiscs none of the surgeons recommend this surgery however none will prescribe pain meds anyone in springfield massachusetts ## Hi Jessi, Surgery is the last option, if you only have pain in your lower back, surgery will not help. Have you and your doctor talked about muscle relaxers, like Soma or Flexeril? There are many non surgical that can help a lot. Seeing an OT doctor works wonders, using a TENS unit, steroids by mouth. (I've had 7 back surgeries ) Good Luck!

I have tried to quit 3 or 4 times now, once i bought 10 suboxone off a buddy and tried and only made 4 days and i vomited almost every day because it taste so nasty... i got out of detox on 1/17/13 and tried staying off but only lasted 2 days until i couldnt do it anymore and the detox center gave me methadone and it really helped and i need to get back to work have tons of bills that havent been paid in a while....I've been trying to go to the clinic but had to wait for ...
Looking for a doctor who prescribes methadone for pain in massachusetts ## Hello, Eric! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. If you require such a medication on a long-term, ongoing basis for chronic pain, you'll have to see a pain management specialist, since a PCP will no longer be able to prescribe it for you. And the only thing you can really do is set up an appointment with a specialist, make sure they receive a full copy of your current medical records, then keep the appointment so you can discuss what they will or will not do to help you. If you aren't happy with them, you'll have to try someone else. However, you can't ask about any specific medication, when y...

Misshapen fingers. Fibromyalgia. And more. Would like pain meds for the BAD days ## Hello, CC! How are you? I am very sorry that you're in pain. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, having them refer you to someone will most likely be the easiest and fastest way of finding the help you need. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?
Name of Dr in Western MA,,, that was would prescribe methodone for pain. I have been going to a clinic only because I could not find a Dr who would prescribe methodone. I would be so thankful to have a Dr. Please help if you can ## Hello, Linda! How are you? I'm sorry, but regardless of why you were going to the clinic, an addiction treatment center is what's listed in your medical records, so a private doctor will not be able to prescribe it for you. I wish I had better news for you, many people have asked similar questions, but I do not. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Linda, Massachusetts like most ...
Please help me with pain doctor in Massachusetts i just got taken off ocycodone 30 mg and need a doc that writes and helps people in pain ## Hello, Marc! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. Why were you taken off of it? Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly that might be able to refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area? ## Hi Marc: I know this is very delayed, as I see you posted in January. Their is a doctor in Lowell, Eric Romanowsky,...
My doctor has had me on the same pain medication (OxyContin 40mg) for the past 9 years. He won't increase it, I've asked him every time I see him. His practice is in Massachusetts, if it makes a difference. I know I've developed a tolerance because it doesn't work like it once did. The reformulation doesn't help matters. Anyone else have a problem with their doctor refusing to raise the quantity or dosage? ## If you're asking him every time you see him, then he may be taking that as drug seeking behavior, which could explain his reluctance to increase the dosage. Is this also a family doctor/general practitioner? If so, that also explains a lot, as they aren't trained to treat pain and, with the relevant prescribing laws, they have to be very careful, since t...
I have been on suboxone for 6 months due to the decision to get off percocets. In the last 5 days I have had 2 major surgeries but my sub script doesnt expire till tues and my sub doctor told me to use the pain meds the surgeons gave me then the day before the operation he changed his mind. I am in extreme pain. In Massachusetts do u think I can fill the percs on tuesday? I am bleeding and in terribke pain ## I think I might be a bit confused, Michelle. I'm assuming the Dr prescribing the Suboxone is a pain management specialist. Is that correct? And the Suboxone is prescribed to ease your dependence on Percocet, correct? And you have a legit written prescription from the Suboxone Dr, but the Suboxone Dr has told you NOT to fill his/her script and to only take what your surgeon pres...
I have 7 herniated discs and a multitude of skeletal and muscular degenerative conditions with prior surgery. I have been receiving this medication for over 11 years. About 5 months ago my Doctor said "I the Medical Group that I represent insists that you go to One of Their Pain Management Doctors. The last 5 months have been a Nightmare. I have never been so humiliated. I live in Massachusetts and what's happening is Ridiculous. I have worked my Ass to the bone for 35 years and I am treated like some street junkie by this new Pain Doctor. Don't know what to do anymore, but I will not give up. I know there are good Doctors out there. I live alone and will move if need be. I refuse to live a life of pain daily because of government guidelines taking Away My Rights. I am going...
