I was wondering if a large amount of amoxil & clavunate k 500/125mg 30 ( that's exactly what my capsule says on it)will make you feel oozy, drowsy or sleep. Because I was told to take 2tabs 3 times a day and to take with food. Seems sketchy to me because I've been prescribed to this medication. Before and last time is said to take 1 tab twice a day. Or is it depending how bad the illness is? My job is a bit far from home and I would like to be driving like this. ## Hello, Luan! How are you? Yes, the dose can be dependent on the severity of the infection being treated. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

i cant get rid of my fat stomach and i hate it ## Hi, Patti! Sorry about the problem you're having. Nuzak contains the active ingredient Fluoxetine, it's an SSRI antidepressant and yes, weight gain can be a side effect of most medications in this class. You may also experience nausea, dry mouth and drowsiness. Learn more Fluoxetine details here. You should talk to your doctor about it, there are some others that you could try that don't have as high of a risk of causing it as this one. Is there anything else I could help with?

Do you have a list of medications that will make you itch? I'm on six different types of medication. They are for depression, asthma, anxiety, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Any advice to help stop the itching? Can't sleep. ## Hello, Rachel! How are you doing? Has there been any change? Unfortunately, I can't state which one might be causing it, just based on the classes of the medications, nor can I possibly list all the medications that could cause itching, the FDA has far too large of a list. Can you please post back with the names of the actual medications you are taking? If so, I will be very happy to check the side effect information for you. Thanks!

Can anyone help? My INR is at 4.0. I'm wondering if I should skip my Plavix dose along with my Warfarin. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. ## I'm not on Plavix but when my INR is that high my dr. has me hold the warfarin 1 or even 2 days. When in doubt I ALWAYS call Walgreens pharmacists, they always give me good advice until I can check in with my doctor. ## Thank you very much I should have thought of that. I'm new to this and I freak out when things go wrong. I am having a hard time staying in range. I will make that call right away. God bless, Mike

My girlfriend has been taking this drug for a year and has been watching what she eat and excercising but still gaining weight, she never had this problem until she started using ranitidine 150mg ## i want to know if ranitidine can make a person to gain weight and does it have a side effect ## I have been taking ranitidine 150 for about six months. I have gained 18 lbs during this time even though I have not changed my eating habits. I have high cholesterol and have to watch my diet. ## Rantidine is an antacid that's used to treat or prevent conditions such as heartburn, GERD, ulcers and gastritis. And no, weight gain isn't listed as a normal side effect of this medication. However, I don't want to discount it entirely, because it's hard to guess how any medication will ...

I have been taking Norco 10/325 for quite a long time. I take 3 pills a day and i guess there is supposed to be a certain level in your urine. Yesterday my Dr accused me of taking way to many and wanted to know where i was getting my pills at and i was shocked and told him "you prescribe these to me" and he more or less called me a liar saying i am taking way more than he gives me. I dont understand why the levels are so high. Is there anything that can cause this to happen? Please help. ## According to NIH studies, this could happen due to dehydration, other medications you may be taking, and some dietary issues, or supplements. Are you on any other medications? Do you make sure to drink plenty of liquids? Has anything else changed in your diet, or exercise routine recently? Ho...

Will this pill make u sleepy? So should I take it at bedtime? ## Hi Alicia, The green pill you're describing marked 44 464, contains the following active ingredients: Acetaminophen 500mg + Diphenhydramine 12.5mg + Phenylephrine 5mg. As far as side effects are concerned, high doses of acetaminophen can cause extreme tiredness. Drowsiness, dizziness, and muscle weakness, are also listed as common side effects of diphenhydramine. On the contrary, "sleeplessness" is listed as a general side effect of phenylephrine. So it sounds like you have a mix medications that could be pulling your energy in all these different directions, depending on how your body reacts to them. Not everyone who takes those medications experiences these types of side effects. So in the end it's reall...

Hello, today is my 1st day taking Belviq - it took me awhile to start taking the medication because I'm afraid to take anything in the 1st place but I have run out of alternatives to get this weight down! I've lost 12 lbs on Hebalife but then plateaud! There are so many negative reviews that make me nervous but I also see positive ones as well. I am not counting calories but reducing my intake once again and I've been drinking ALOT of water and chewing gum in between snacks and meals. My biggest concern right now - today is that I feel like I am high, my mind is all over the place and I started to freak out a little bit - I have anxiety attacks to begin with so I'm afraid that this will alter that and THAT is not good! At one point this morning I also felt like I was goi...

I have pain shooting from my left lower back. It runs down the left side to the foot. Also tingling. I am on 10mg oxycodone + 325mg acetaminophen. I've been on them for I think 3 yrs. So they are not working. My question is how do I go about telling my doctor that I need something stronger without sounding like an addict? Thanks for all answers. Greatly appreciated! ## Hello, Mack! How are you? Has there been any change? At this point, I don't think the concern is needing more medications, but to make sure that you are not experiencing a heart problem, which many such issues on the left side of your body could possibly indicate. Thus, it is best to just tell your doctor what is happening, including the pain you're experiencing, and go from there. However, do not ask them for...

I have been suffering from Migraines since 2005. The past year has been very difficult as my headaches have increased 10 fold. I have had many health problems over my years and had a Kidney Transplant back in 2007 so I am limited to what I can take for the headaches. I use to take Toradol and it worked great. I have been taking Hyrdro Morphone 10mg/1ml at .6 of a ml a day for the headaches. I find that over the months it just does not work as well and my doctor says I am at a way high of a dose and she does not want to increase it. I want to know what is a normal dose for a regular user for major pain and if my dose is high/normal/low. I constantly have a headache and it just increases as the day goes on. I vomit, can't open my eyes and makes work hell. The Hyrdo Morhpone when taken...

I have been taking Prednison prescribed by my doctor for Gout.4 tablets ever day for 7days 20mg thats 80 mg a day. can that cause your blood suger to go up to 500? started lowering my dose to ween me of the Prednison slowly ## Hello, David! How are you? Yes, the FDA classifies Prednisone as a steroid and they are known to cause that in some people that take them, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, insomnia, acne and weight gain. What medication are you on for your blood sugar? ## May I ask how did you learn of the BS of 500 ? Was it yoUR value? Was it taken because of your doctor's order? That is a very high value and should be treated/monitored carefully!!!! If that was YOUR sugar level, be sure to talk with your doctor as soon as possible!

I have a infected wisdom tooth so my doctor prescribed me these on top ofpeniciilin. All the tylonel is doing is maken me feel sick all the time. Ive tryd eating on them but no matter what i feel like im going to be sick but i cant deal with the pain. What do i do ## Nicki, it's probably the Codeine in the Tylenol #4. I dealt with the same thing once and the doctor had to switch me to Vicodin, as it contains a different narcotic ingredient. You might be sensitive to opiates in general, in which case they may also decide to put you on a high dose of non-narcotic medications. Hope this info helps and good luck!! ## .Thank you very much. I am going to call my dentist monday and ask him for something different so i am not feeling like this anymore :)

Do they make valium any stronger than 10mg ## Hello, Mama! How are you? No, 10mgs is the highest dosage that is available. The FDA classifies this medication as a benzodiazepine that is most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. It carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hello, I am on 20mg of Potassium CL my last blood draw was 4.6 or higher? I am a bit worried about taking 20mg. I know, the level should not exceed 5. If, you do take too much, does your body rid itself of what it does not need. Any help would be appreciated, my doctor of out of town. Thank you. btw when I started taking the prescription my level was 3.1. ## Hello, Debra! How are you? No, your body does not. It tends to build up and both levels too high or too low can be dangerous and could cause heart problems and elevated blood pressure, as explained by the NIH. However, 4.6 puts you right in the safe range, so you should follow your doctor's instructions and make sure they are monitoring you regularly. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hello, Thank you so much, for respo...

I've been on Forteo for almost 2 full months. I have been fighting weight gain and losing the fight. I've done juicing, low carb/high fat, and now I'm doing weight watchers with intermittent fasting. Why does the a Forteo literature tell about weight loss but not weight gain? It is obviously an ongoing problem from what I read from other users. In addition to the weight issues, I get very hot and sweaty for several hours and most nights only sleep a couple of hours. I'm depressed and fatigued like apparently most others on Forteo. I've been trying to snap out of it but thinking about asking for some medication for that too. I'm 58 and a lot of these symptoms are common for menopausal/ post- menopausal women, but it's strange it all seemed to just start now. I...

What drug should I try because the oxycodone is making me sick? ## Hi Cartel, Sorry to hear about your Oxycodone intolerance. There are a variety of pain medications on the market that you could ask your doctor about trying instead of Oxycodone. However it's important to understand that there's really no way of knowing ahead of time how something else might end up affecting you as well, until you give it a shot and see how you like it. Depending on what your doctor recommends, some other options may include medications like Hydrocodone/Apap, Morphine sulfate, or Hydromorphone. Do you think the sick feeling could be because of a problem with the dosage being too high or perhaps just a side effect of the drug itself?

my husband was adicted to percocets and went on suboxen, now he says he need xanax to relax. ## Xanax is a Benzodiazepine, highly addictive. I worry that he is just trading one addiction for another. ## Not only is it addictive... there have been a number of deaths reported in people mixing suboxone and benzo's. It's very dangerous. And, this is coming from someone who had NO FEAR in taking high, dangerous levels of things.... I can take 40 hydrocodone's in a day, easy and mix it with other stuff too. But, I would not mix suboxone with benzo's. ## I am having a procedure done and the dr is prescribing vicodin. I am currently on suboxone. I WILL NOT take the vicodine unless I am in excrutiating pain. Would the suboxone help me with pain like the vicodine? Or how long shou...

I started taking kin tablets for the past one month but am seeing no significant reduction in the level of blood pressure measurement. I.E. it was 160/105 when started taking kin tabs. It came down to 139/91 two weeks ago. Today it measured 160/105, 154/102, and 155/101. ## What dosage are you taking and how often do you take them? And when are you checking it? Is it immediately after activity? After you're eating? And how close together in time are you checking it? As reported by the NIH, all of these factors can affect your readings, at any given time. Do you also eat a healthy, low salt and low fat diet? Do you make sure to get plenty of exercise? Are you on any other medications?
