Feen-A-Mint was originally formulated with White Phenolphthalein when it was first introduced about 110 years ago. Then in the 1930's it got reformulated to Yellow Phenolphthalein. Originally available as a chewing gum laxative, over the years it also got manufactured in other forms such as chocolate mint "cookie" and pills (which also contained Docusate Sodium). Today, Feen-A-Mint is formulated with Bisacodyl for the North American market and with Sodium Picosulphate for other countries. ## Just wanted to say thanks for sharing the background of Feen-A-Mint. I understand this is a type of laxative, however I'm also curious to know how others with personal experience might feel about its efficacy in comparison with each respective country's version of Feen-A-Mint (e....

I am a little concerned about my daughter abusing certain types of medication. Is there any website(Walgreens, CVS, or any website you know of) where I can look up to see what types of medication she is taking. I do not know where she gets her prescription, but do have her personal info of course since I am her mother. There has to be some way to check this out. Any advice is appreciated. She denies taking pills, but we have found empty containers, and she has talked about killing herself. ## Unless she is a minor no pharmacist will give you here information. Her prescription history is protected by privacy laws and if you use her information to portray yourself as her you would be breaking the law. That said I commend you for being so concerned and involved. I just don't know how y...

OK guys, gals, ladies, and, gentlemen. I have been taking Flomax, starting in 1996, or since it's release, and at that time, depended on samples from my primary care doctor, because, at that time flomax was 100$ for 30 capsules. Then, when my insurance started paying, the generic Tamsulosin was released, and to date I have remained on this medication for bph, and prior to 1996 Hytrin was prescribed, which also worked for me. For 22 years I have had to take something for bph and I'm now 60 yrs old. OK, I said all that to say on this. For 20 yrs I've taken FLOMAX 0.4 MG Capsules, and never had any side effects, but on 1 or 2 occasions, I ran out and was off for maybe a week before I could not urinate, and had immense pain trying, and desperately was ready to rob a pharmacy to ...

I was just curious if there is a website where a patient can access their own history regarding their past and present opioid prescriptions.. To actually see the same iinformation that your doctor and pharmacy can see about your opioid history. I was just wondering if anyone knows if this is possible. Does anyone know what it actually shows on the reports? Thanks for any help! ## No, there isn't. However, you can ask your doctor, or pharmacy to view your records. They are yours, and it is your right to view them. They may charge you to make copies of them for you, but you do have the right to view them. As to what it shows on the reports, it lists what was prescribed, the dosage, and how frequently you had such prescriptions filled, according to DEA directives, as well as whether or...

Need Dr. in Huntsville or North Alabama. I have chronic back pain from spinal cord injury but have a history of addiction. HELP!! What can I do? Where can I find a Dr. that will work with me? ## Hello, JohhnyEarle! How are you doing? I am very sorry that you're in pain. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, getting them to refer you to someone for help would most likely be the easiest way to get the help you need. Does anyone else have any suggestions? ## I recently had to change insurance companies because my doctor stopped taking the insurance I had. I got sick and went to emergency dept and my pain management doctor cut me off. ## Perhaps your doctor or a pain doctor will let you try the Butrans transdermal. Helps quite a bit with my pain. I have no bad histo...

Hello, Just curious about a certain topic that just came up and I had never experienced it before. However, it's important to note that I'm more curious about the legality of this situation and not looking for any feedback on any potential actions worth taking. Situation: The other day I went in to see my doctor at a Pain Management clinic, who I've been with for years and have a great relationship with, and something very different was brought up that kind of had us both curious as to the reason behind this. I want to point out I'm not publicly stating the pharmacy name since that's not the focus of my question, but I will state that it is one of the largest chains in the US. The Event: When I was sitting with him he said, "I got a very odd and explicit call fro...

I took one of these Zomax in 1981 at the age of 19. I immediately became hot and passed out. By the time,my parents got me to the ER, I only had a pulse under my tongue. They had to shock me.
