I'm trying to figure out what this pill is I found in my little sisters bag; it's a light brown oblong pill with specks of darker brown on it. It has a cursive W or M on one side and a line on the other. What is the difference, besides appearance, between simvastatin 20 mg drl and simvastatin? I just refilled a prescription of the drl. It is small, round and brown. The new simvastatin prescription is small, oval and sort of orange/tan. ## In this case, it is highly likely that they were just manufactured by a different company. I can't say with certainty, since the poster didn't provide the markings from the tablets they mentioned, but if the dosage is the same, that's usually the first thing that confuses many people.
