Can this drug cause backwards disequilibrium in the elderly? My husband has dementia & has started leaning backwards. Making it difficult for him to walk. Could it be associated with this drug? The only other medications he takes are eye drops for glaucoma.
Updated in TolterodineI took a 1/4 of a suboxone a friend had given me around 6:00 pm today. How long do I have to wait until I can take a Percocet for pain and not get it and have it work? ## 1/4 of a suboxone isn't a very detailed description how many MG's was the strip?(i know this is an old comment but whatever) ## I know this topic is a few weeks old, but I do agree with josh (post #1) in that the answer to the original thread question would largely depend on how many milligrams of Suboxone you're taking. Based on some other cases I've seen, I'd take a shot in the dark and say it may be up to a week before it's out of your body. Although several personal factors such as age, weight, diet, etc, could also influence the excretion rate. I hope this info helps! Please post back if yo...
I suffer from AFIB, get it once aprox every two weeks for 6 hours. My cardio wants me to take Flecainide and Verapamil. I am really afraid of the possible side effects of Flecainide which appears to be a dangerous drug, and why would he give me Verapamil when I have quite low blood pressure? ## I was afraid of Flecainide as well and terrified of taking both together. But what's the alternative? Like you I suffer constant bouts of AF and they can be debilitating to say the least. I have found Flecainide OK, but still get AF, am about to start on Verapamil as am sick of being sick. Fingers crossed...this is a rotten complaint and Drs have really no idea how to best treat it so you have to try along with them...dancing in the dark! ## Verapamil, as well as most other blood pressure med...
Has anyone undergone Propofol Sedation for a medical procedure while on Oxycodone? I take prescribed Oxycodone daily, and am concerned about upcoming colonoscopy which will require Propofol sedation. If I don’t take oxy during 12 hr fast I will be in withdrawal before the procedure, but I’m concerned about interaction if I do take it. Has anyone gone thru this? ## You’re fine. They do this all the time for many different kinds of procedures and people on many different kinds of opioids. I take Norco and they tell me I can take it in the morning that I have the procedure. I also take Valium and come out the other side just fine. I don’t think you’ll go into withdrawals that quickly, but I would ask them why you can’t take one in the morning with a litt...
What is the most weight lost by anyone on this drug? I have been taking it for about 3 mos. and have lost weight, but I do not know what is normal. ## This is a medication used to treat high blood pressure, it contains a diuretic, so it does remove retained water from the body, but IT IS NOT A WEIGHT LOSS DRUG. ## i was wondering how long it takes for detrol la 4mg to start to work ## VERWON, I am taking this medication for high blood pressure and not for WEIGHT LOSS. I am concerned I may be losing too rapidly. That is why I asked. My question may have been misunderstood. ## I have been taking this drug Triamt/Hctz for over 2yrs now, and i have lost some weight not a whole lot, but i was just wondering if the drug is known to cause weight? I know its not a weight loss drug!...but weight...
I started Ozempic on July 24, it is now Oct 1 and I have only lost 8 pounds. I try to stay under 1,200 calories a day and I walk about 10,000 steps. My dose was 0.25 mg which is 10 units or 0.1 ML. Tomorrow, I start my 0.50 mg which is 20 units or 0.2 ML. My question is: Is it normal to lose only 8 pounds in 2 months? ## I've been on Ozempic for 4 months and I've only lost 10 pounds. I was just at my doctor's and she was well pleased, she said it's best to lose it slowly. I'm not as pleased though, of course I'm impatient from hearing of all the ones dropping weight left and right! Maybe it will come to me soon enough, I don't want to give up. Just hold on!
I have been prescribed Valium for anxiety for a while, I recently got some 10mg ones with an A and a straight line across the middle with 278 at the bottom and on the other side a mark like a smiley ) but the right way round "as in when people put this next to a comment" :) we know its a smiley! Not sure if they are fake or generic! Any info would be appreciated ## Please do not take they are fake. I normally take half and that's enough but I ended up taking two and felt nothing. I ended up having a terrible sleep cos they made me feel weird ## I'm having the same dilemma with these pills. These are genuinely prescribed 10mg blue valium but i dont recognize them, i think they are too bitter and apart from this post haven't found out anything about them after ten mins...
I love Ben-Gay, I have Fibromyalgia, Lupus, and RA. I use a lot of tubes. I would love a roll on and a patch. Since I use it knees, shoulders, elbows and wrists. Thank you for let me giving my opinion.
Updated in Ben-Gay Ultra Strength Pain Relieving CreamI had very heavy periods with alot of cramping so my doctor suggested Cryoablation. Before I did that I had to have a cyst and fibroid removed. He then put me on a 5mg Norethindrone once a day originally for 4 months after the Cryoablation. At my 3 month checkup I still hadn't had a regular period so he told me to stop taking it. It's been a week since I stopped and still no period but terrible headaches daily, some cramping and alot of nausea. I cannot be pregnant so I'm not worried about that but wondering if the side effects are normal and how long I can expect them. ## Hello, Tonya! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problems that you're having. Some women no longer have periods, or have extremely light ones, after having cryoablation done. I'm surprised t...
Hello, Medicaid’s new prior authorization for adderall requires all the dates and dosages of 4-5 other ADHD meds that you have taken. If your psychiatrist does not have that information, you may be out of luck. I just found out today. I had no problem with coverage last month. I found a couple options. Small pharmacies can be tried. Call them and ask if you can have your script filled and have no insurance. It should be 1/3 the price of Walgreens. There are also online coupons you can google for those “without insurance”. I found Walgreens will fill today when I talked to the pharmacy and they gave me the coupon site for them: This site is much less out of pocket. For my script (15mg 3 times a day) went from $150 to $87. Good luck and hugs! Zen ## I had the same thing ...
I have severe anxiety and I have no insurance and need to find a doctor that can prescribe Xanax or klonopin ## Then you would have to pay in Cash. This forum assumes you have the money to get the items you need. ## This website really doesn't assume anything about anyone. As to the fact that you have no insurance, that is actually likely to create a problem, when looking for medications such as this, since they are known to be habit forming and commonly abused. Not having insurance and paying cash means the person may be risky, because it is much easier for them to doctor and pharmacy hop to try to game the system and get more medications than they should. Do you currently have a GP that you see regularly? They may be able to refer you to someone and that could limit the issues you...
I started metoprolol about 6 months ago, and after a few weeks on it, I started having pain in my upper legs (thigh area) and sometimes lower legs. I complained to Dr and they say it’s not from the med. I never had a leg problem and it’s getting worse. After sitting, when I get up my legs feel heavy and painful. Had anyone else had anything like this? ## Hi Jojo, Sorry to hear about your situation. Leg pain unfortunately isn't listed as a side effect of Metoprolol on NIH.gov or Medlineplus.gov. However, they do list swelling (inflammation) of the legs, which I believe in turn can correspond to pain. Source: [1] medlineplus.gov/druginfo/meds/a682864.html [2] ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMHT0011186 There are also a couple other popular discussion threads here noting the ...
Small round blue tablet msj wrote on 1 side and a line on the other side. Are these safe and are they diazepam? ## MSJ with a score mark on the other side have been identified as 10mg Diazepam tablets from Sweden, this is the active ingredient in Valium. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizzines and irritability. You can read more here: Is there anything else I can help you with? ## There are pirate versions of these from Sri Lanka, look the same but strength (assuming it was correct information) varies from 8 to 30 mg. ## yes there safe and i bought 300 they are just as good as activis if trust me ## I just have a batch of MSJ and they're bloody strong, I normally take up to 20 Blues (u.k Actavis) but 4 of these knock me out. I'm not sure where they're f...
I got off ampyra after taking for 3 months because I felt it did not help my walking and caused other problems. I was not happy putting up with insomnia but was willing to tolerate if it was a tradeoff with walking. Since being off the medicine for one week my walking is terrible and balance worse than when I started. Has anyone else noticed problems when they stopped taking medicine after a 3 month period. I still feel the ampyra did not help but do not understand why I am worse off now than when I started the med. ## Sounds like we had the same results. I tried Ampyra for three months, during which time my walking actually seemed to slow a bit. I stopped using it when I got a nasty UTI, which gave me symptoms similar to an MS exacerbation. It took two rounds of antibiotics to finally ...
found a round white pill in my medicine cabnet with PA977 on one side and a split on the other side ## Could the marking be PA 917 instead of PA 977? If so, then it's Torsemide 20mg (NDC 50111-917) which is a diuretic. Inactive Ingredients: - Silicon Dioxide - Starch, Corn - Lactose Monohydrate - Magnesium Stearate - Sodium Starch Glycolate Type a Potato
White Round Pill with PA 977 imprinited on it. ## Is the marking possibly PA 917? If so, this tablet is manufactured by Pliva and they it as containing 20mgs of Torsemide, which is a diuretic that is used to treat high blood pressure, edema, and heart failure. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, hypotension, and increased urination. ## what is the pill I found in my cabinet. imprinted PA977. ## What is pill PA977? ## Is this what your pill looks like? Could it be "917" instead of "977"? If so, then Verwon's message is correct, it's Torsemide 20mg (NDC 50111-917).
I am trying to find a doctor in Pittsburgh PA who will prescribe modafinil to treat shift work sleep disorder. I've struggled with this for years (though I actually had a couple of good years when I could get adrafinil - which is metabolized into modafinil - which really helped, but that was discontinued long ago), but as the demands of my work and new responsibilities have arisen, the last few months have been worse than it's ever been. My primary care doctor flatly refuses to prescribe it - he says that, while he agrees I'm probably right in my self-diagnosis, he doesn't know enough about shift work sleep disorder to diagnose it, and he doesn't know enough about the use of modafinil to treat shift work sleep disorder to be comfortable prescribing it. He wants me to...
I've been on nur isterate for 11 years now. Since i've started i had no periods. Today i have signs of periods with terrible pains. Is this normal? ## Did you start your period? Or did you just have cramping and pain? The hormone levels in your body can change as you age, which could change how this contraceptive affects you. Has anything else changed recently? Are you on any other medications? Have you consulted your doctor? ## What was your experience when you stopped using nur-isterate (re: withdrawal symptoms)? Did you lose or gain weight? And how long did it take for your period to come back? ## Hey, so I started using the 2 month nur-isterate inj. in October. This year in February I had unprotected intercourse, then went to get my 3rd shot the next day. I didn't get my...
