Suboxone Vs Norco. Please Help
UpdatedI have chronic pain issues. Numerous injuries, a spinal growth and advancing arthritic conditions have my left side barely ussable. I am permanently disabled at 44 and under the care of a pain management center. I was prescribed loritab/norco about 2 yeArs ago and of course the dose went and the tolerance built and by summer of 2014 I found myself taking 4 10's per day...and of course that wasn't enough so I found myself running low every month and spending the week or so before refills in extreme withdrawals. So I went to my general family doctor and started a Suboxone program and called the pain center and told them I didn't want Norco anymore and thought I as doing a good thing. But I forgot about one thing....the God awful pain. I have been on suboxone for about a month now and the withdrawals are gone but I can barely function with the pain The suboxone doc of course has prescribed numerous non narcotic pain meds, all of which have failed miserably. 2 days ago I mentioned to my psychiatrist (I also suffer from Bi polar II ) all of this and her response was that I needed to drop the suboxone, go back on pain meds, deal with the pain issues of possible and then get off of them. I was simply trying to avoid the added burden of a chemical dependency that was obviously developing out of my control, but have left myself in agony. Need advice.

Since Suboxone is used to treat opiate addiction, you probably won't be able to find any pain dr or clinic that will treat you. Any new dr will get copies of your medical records from your previous pain dr.
I already talked to my pain doc. He said I can go back on norco after I wean off of the suboxone, so thats not an issue.
Since your pain dr has said you can go back on the Norco, I don't understand the problem.
