I am prescribed suboxone for an opiate addiction maintenance program. First, will it show up in a ten panel test? Second, can an employer discriminate if they have already offered me the job? Third, is this violating any privacy laws?

My fiance has to go to the hospital to take a drug test for a job outside of the hospital. does the hospital urinalysis test for suboxone?

depends on the job. Any employer reserves the right to choose who works for them. They can give you a plethora of reasons as to why they "can't" hire you after the test if they "choose" not to hire you.

no suboxone does not show up on regular 12 panel drug screening only probation or parole screen for it and if you got prescription your fine

I take suboxone daily to help control my drug habit and it has been working great! But I just took a non dot 5 panel drug screen for a pre employment physical today. Will my suboxone or my tramadol (either one) show up and if so as what and what will happen next?

For what type of job did you pop hot for subutex? I have to take a preemployment 10 panel + xtc + oxy at Quest. Just wondering if I should should use someone else's pee or just take the test myself.

Well no sab. Will not show up on a preemployment ui. Plus you have a script. But i would not tell anybody bout the sab cuz the reason its taken and yes you mite be discrimated againsed. Plus i think that would be a part of need to.know and the new job dnt, unless there is now other way.

They would have to test for it specifically at a lab. It's doesn't pop as an opioid because technically it's not.

I've been on Suboxone strips for 3 yes now and passed a drug test for a job at a prison. So, proof that it doesn't show up on regular drug screens. Good Luck to all who are struggling with addiction!!

I have an issue, I'm on suboxone but not legitimately, no prescription. I was on methadone for 10 years and stopped at 30mg and couldn't handle feeling like s*** so I started subs. I got off of the methadone bcuz there are state laws here that advise drs not to prescribe any benzos with opiates, methadone or suboxone. This sucks for me cuz I'm diagnosed with general anxiety disorder and I've been on Xanax for 20 years and have had seizures and delusions, hallucinations, etc when I don't have my Xanax. My psych dr just recently began giving urine tests and he tests for everything, so the sub showed up. He warned me that he won't prescribe my Xanax if it shows up again but at this time in my life, I need them. Does anyone have a suggestion for me? Is there anything that i can purchase that will absolutely ensure a clean urine for subs?

No it will not show up on a standard preemployment screen. The employer mite have a problem if the job is safety sensitive and as far as privacy that's all gone.
