I am bipolar 2 or so they say. I have been taking epiec 200 and rispadol. I have lost the will to live without the depression of course and i have become an angry horrible person that no one can be around. I have shakes in the head and tiredness that is so not me. I have started to reducing the meds and is on 50 now. I am feeling much better and the old me is returning. Why do people think epitec is such a wonder drug?

Inhave been diagnosed with bipolar type 1 tge phychatrist put me on 400mg of epitec 1tab at night and 1 tab in the morning which made me lazy and not knowing Arther or Marther...I have slowky decreased my intake myself as the phychatrist does not want to decrease it...I eventually told him my sude effects and he acknowkege that epitec can cause me to get headache whichi am experiencing...He decreased it to 350mg..150mg during the day and 200mg at night , gee thats stilll to much . He mudt decrease it more asim still experiencing headaches and mouth ulsors.....I dont see myself as bipolar I know I was emotional when my parents died and followed instructions from peopleclose to me to get rid of my past by burning it....I will never listen to a human being again no matter if they are family...

I take 1 Epitec 100mg and1 Clift 50mg in morning for the last 5 years and worked for me. But now I have terrible mood swings and unhappy and anxious all the time. Dr put me on a sleeping pill zolnoxs 10mg but no change. Just very sad. Please dr help!!

My GP prescribed Epitec to take with Deprimal as the Deprimal kept me awake and gave severe headaches (all side effects of Depramil). Im on 75mg of Epitec and now sleep much better and headaches also much less

I'm bipolar2, 62 y/o just diagnosed. I'm on Lamictal 50 mg twice a day, it has really helped me, good mood most of time, some trouble with feeling lump in throat, otherwise doing good. If you feel suicidal, please go to E.R. or call your doctor, life is precious on the correct meds and therapist you can talk to for coping skills.

I've been on Lamictin (Epitec) ever since it got on the market. It feels as if I am living in a haze. Short twrm memory loss which is a complete disaster. Two tabs (200mg) per day. In process to reduce dosage.

Hi... I have being taking Epitec 100mg for over a year now and my weight has increased drastically. On the side effect list it mentioned weight loss, not weight gain... I'm confused.

Epitec made me gain weight I cut out all sugar, carbohydrates and eat a very low Carbohydrate 50grams a day and high protein diet. Breakfast I have 2 scrambled eggs with a rasher bacon and one fried tomatoe. Snack I have a handful of raw almonds. Lunch I normally have meatballs, little children Ken kebabs, steak and about a cup of veggies. 4pm have a snack of biltong and then supper at 7pm I have meat /fish and veggies. The first 2 weeks you will crave everything sweet and bad for you but if you can get through the first 2 weeks the cravings go away. Also drink 6 to 8 glasses of water a day. You are thirsty on a high protein diet!! Always check with your doctor before you start any health programme. This is working well for me and as from 3 Jan 2017 I have lost 6kgs have about 30 more to go.

It's incredibly dangerous to just drop all your meds and stop them. Especially Epitec it can result in seizures and very very very bad lows as well as suicidal thoughts. If you want to go off meds go and see your Psychiatrist and get him/her to slowly decrease them. Please don't put your life at risk by just going off the meds. It's too dangerous.

Good to know about the Zolpidem also known and Ambien in The USA. You get addicted very quickly to this sleeping tablet and need more and more to get adequate sleep. I only keep it now for times where I have terrible Insomnia otherwise I take 2 herbal tablets half an hour before I sleep and meditate the pills are called Tranquil sleep. I am on 100mg Epitec at night and 50mg Serdep in the morning. I am coping well, if I feel myself start spiralling down I meditate using headphones and get more sleep than normal. This combination of meds seems to be working for my Major Depression. Finally feeling stable.

I would ask my Dr to relook that script. I was so confused on it.try Venlor or Venlafaxine. I feel a new person.Never just stop meds. U will get very ill from withdrawal.or change your Psychiatrist. I did& am tons better .

I have been prescribed epictec by a psychiatrist 3 weeks ago. Immediate side effect was constipation. I came out of my depression fairly quickly and harm many bolood tests etc. I have had weight loss and talkativeness some of it very funny and some aggressive. I am feeling very powerful, and can achieve anything. I have not felt like this for many years. I ma 69 and have been very successful running a business and being a prominent figure in the community. My very powerful husband died 10 years agol I have a partner who is very laid back and it has been worrying me. I am enjoying how I feel mostly and I am suddenly creative, funny again but a bit aggressive.I am having some nightmares, and night sweats. My grown kids think something wrong. I will be on last week of medication this week and will call the phycologist tomorrow. I have racing thoughts, but feel close to genius. Hope I am not going to have a big low after this. Had lens replacement and am experiencing 100% vision and play and administer a lot of tennis and associations/foundation. I feel I can conquer the world when previously I felt useless for a few months. What should I do.
My sons wedding is coming up in 2 weeks, and I NEED TO BE STABLE.

Hi,

Perhaps you should have your dosage increased, perhaps to 300mg, I'm bipolar type 2 and I'm currently using 350mg epitec, I do function well and yes I do still experience hypomanic episodes but no psychosis. My challenge is getting the dosage between the epitect and the leximal right as I use leximal for my anxiety disorder.
