Jadelle Contraception Side Effects (Page 5) (Top voted first)
UpdatedHas anyone had the jadelle implant and had bad side effects? I got it done a weeks ago and have started light bleeding over the last few days and it wont go away as well as my skin breaking out.
Yes i have decided to have them removed, not lookn forward to it tho as a friend had hers out and she said they have to cut them out as they become part of you prety much..just hope weight comes off as easy and as fast as it went on! Thanks
Ok so I had the rod in my arm for 2 years and a bit, had got it removed on the 17th of November 2016 and I have been feeling very funny lately! It's now been 2 months and all I can show for is a sore lower back, very tender breasts, cravings, very emotional, no period, sore swollen feet, hot when it's very cold! Up all at night I sleep most of the day away, now I'm not sure what's going on with me! I took a pregnancy test that came back negative. I haven't gone to the doctors yet! Am going to do that when I come back from my holiday. Should I be worried? Me and my partner are wanting another baby as my daughter is at that age of knowing what she wants and pretty much dose her own thing. Anyone else been feeling the same way? Or is it just me?
Iv lost 10kgs since iv been on the jadelle and its only been 3 weeks iv had alot of bad side affects it annoys me
how long did you bleed for as im so over it. has been 4mnths for me now
I just gained a lot of weght and my body is always itching
I wish I had seen this before I got the Jadelle. I got it last January and for the first 3 months everything was normal, normal bleeding and everything. Then I started getting spotting and it gradually got worse until I was bleeding straight for a month!
1 year after getting it in I decided to get the Jadelle out BUT they could only reach one of the Jadelle implants. The other one is still somewhere in my arm. I have to go into the hospital for scans and to get it removed. Alot of pain and alot of costs and I'm a long way down the waiting list to get the last Jadelle out of my arm.
However my periods went completely back to normal within a day of getting the first one removed. However I'm now suffereing from extremely sore breasts and an extremly sore pelvic region which is apparently caused by the changes in my hormones!
Would not recommend the Jadelle to anyone. Even my friends who consider it I tell them not to go near it!!!
Hi there. i am getting my Jadelle removed next week. Have had it for almost two years and in the first few months experienced prolonged and frequent bleeding, large sore hormonal acne bumps on my CHEEKS and chin (have never had acne on my cheeks before) and hair growth around my chin. I expected all these symptoms to subside over time but 2 years along they are still there. The hair and the acne is unacceptable, it is ruining my skin and I am now undertaking a course of electrolysis to remove the hair. Loved the idea of it, but sadly the side effects are too much for me
I got the Jadelle implated 6 months ago and i have had constant problems i have my period for 4 to 6 weeks on and off have had so many days off with nausea, dissyness, my skin has broken out so much since the implant also have had a lot of anxiety atacks and just felt like myself ever since i am now on estrogen tablets and medication to control my skin break outs wtf i am getting it out this friday am so sick of this i would not suggest getting this form of contraception to anyone!!!
No it is not normal to have ongoing bleeding with any contraceptive. It is unacceptable and your GP should be telling you all the side effects. If you are having these problems its because this type of hormone is not agreeing with you. You should have it removed.
the good thing about Jadelle is that most people fall pregnant pretty quickly after it is removed.... unlike the depo provera etc
i have these same problems i have had jadelle since october 2011 it is now june 2012 and since i have had the jadelle , i have skin problems , weight gain , an only had my period twice in nine months.
Ive had jadell inserted since starting of may 2012 and since then (now mid june) ive been getting light bleeding all the time. Some days it will be lighter but a lot of the times it will be quite heavy.(but never as heavy as period) i am so so sick of this, so does going on the pill make it better??i really love the idea that i dont have to worry about taking the pill but light bleeding all the time means no sex!! Argggg
i have jadelle for the past 13months... since the past 7 month i have been experiencing my period every 2month for 10 days is that normal. is this normal.. should i be concerned... plus at the beginning and ending of ever cycle it is really smelly
yes they do.... people gain and loose3 weight...
So pleased to read the comments on here I've been on Jadelle for nearly 2 years and sooooooooo over the irregular and heavy bleeding. Its coming out!
Has anybody had POSITIVE results from using this form of contraception? I know it's easy to get irate about the negatives but surely there must be those who have had positive experiences that might like to share here? I'd be interested to know....
Hi all, I am like you, thank you sooo much. I have Jadelle for nearly 5 months now. I had one period when it was first inserted and haven't had another since. I have not experienced any bad side effects. It has been hard to find another person with good comments about Jadelle. It really does all depend on the person.
has anyone had bad side affects and has had it removed? how do u feel now?
Hi I had my implant taken out about a month ago. Finally feel like a normal women again. Nausea, bleeding, headaches all symptoms have gone. Taking out was quite brutal but worth it. My advice to all of you is "it is not going to get better only worse get it taken out now!"
I've had Jadelle for a little over 2 years. At first it was good. No periods which is fine with me. Now I'm having regular spotting with periods/bleeding that last 15 days or more. Is this normal? I hate bleeding and this is my only problem with Jadelle. I was on Depo-provera and I bled a lot so I stopped. Will I need to remove Jadelle?
