Has anyone had the jadelle implant and had bad side effects? I got it done a weeks ago and have started light bleeding over the last few days and it wont go away as well as my skin breaking out.

Yes thankyou :) im not alone! I got it taken out today and i feel so much better already! And so far no anxiety attacks plus a lot more motivation :)

hey, nah it didn't hurt. but from what the doctor told me shes had quite a few problems getting some out as some are like too far deep and with the tissue scar around the cut its harder to get out. mine took about 20 minutes because of the tissue around the rod, but it didn't hurt at all. the anasethic that they put in stings a little but that numbs the pain :)

Hi there i am 25yrs old, i have had the Jadelle implant in for almost 11months now, got it put it when my son was 6weeks old, i dont mind it now but still thinking about getting it taken out and going back on the pill. In the first few months i experienced alot of irregualar bleeding, it would sometimes 2 times a week, and would get my period like 3 times a month and bled a bit in the first few months, it was about 4months along when it settled down now my periods are back go normal and regular once a month. I have not had any weight gain which is good but i have experience some moody swings and feel grumpy and run down some day where i dont feel happy n some days felt down. Feel like i have fatigue and tired alot and no energy and also one big thing ive noticed is i have lost my libido, my sex drive has lowered and i feel like having sex only once a month and just dont seem to be interested in it anymore and also my skin breaks out alot, its more oily and more acne and not clear like it was when i use to be on the pill, When i was taking the pill i didnt have this problem with my skin but since i got Jadelle my skin it my greasy and more break outs with lowers ya confidence at times, my sex drive was normal when i was on the pill i was having sex least 3-4times a week now its like 1-2 times a month, my partner must be so bored of me now, he must get fed up and must feel like he doesnt want me any more, so im going to give it at least a year then go back and see Family Planning and might go back on the pill, only thing i like about Jadelle is i dont have to worry about forgetting to take pills but i am considering going back on it as i was on the pill for over 5yrs and no problems at all. jadelle would be good if it didnt have so many side effects that put people off from getting it

OMG! Sigh... i feel the same way, its 4 months now since i had this implant. terrible mood swings.. always irritable and no sex drive at all :(

Hey has any one ellse exsperienced problems with jadelle i had it put in 18 months ago my indomentri hadd gotten worse. I got pregnant 5 months ago on the jadelle and doctors would not take jadelle out i had lots of complications and lost baby 4 months ago...

Hi there, I have had the Jadelle implant in for about 6 months now. I'm getting it taken out today, ever since it went in iv'e been suffering so many side effects ..
Extreame stomach pain, weight gain, anxiety, nervousness,breakouts, depression, tiredness, random body aches. I now don't believe this should be available, this kind of drug is going to ruin the female body. I suggest getting it out,

i finally got mine taken out. best choice ever made! i felt a massive change the very next day. headaches were gone, energy was super high and mood swings vanished all this overnight after taking this out and have so far lost 4 kgs from doing nothing.

i've had jadelle for two months nw,for days now,i've been having pain in my upper arm and its difficult to carry heavy things,my 3day period has turned to one week,i begin to think it makes you bleed on your fertile days to make you stay away frm intercourse, lol.. seriously, i think so. I've been switching soaps and creams now for my face thats full of rashes,jst hop its nt d one causing my face to be so rough

I have had my Jadell for just about a year and the first 6 months were great. Light periods for 3 days but the last 6 have been horrible. Bleeding heavily for 2weeks every period, gained 20kgs!!! So not happy at all, have booked in to get it removed this week :)

I had the jadelle put in nov 2013 it is now almost march 2014, i have had two seperate days in total of spotting, no periods since the breakthrough one after having it done, no side effects apart from feeling really warm all the time and when i workout i sweat alot. Im 34 with 3x kids and finding the jadelle a good contraceptive.

i have had my jadell in for nearly for years and i have had no problems with it i have my period every month on time so it has been good for me just to put it out there for those ho are unsure as i have read a lot of bad things and i have had no problems at all.

I have been on the jadelle for two years now and it was the worst decision I would rather have a baby at 17 or 18 than all the BS I have gone through I was happy energetic and thin, I went on the jadelle because I'm a little forgetful with pills and already had extremely painful periods which I now get every two weeks along with the side effects of being pregnant stress, headaches, thrush,depression, mood swings, exsausted all the time I'm worried I will never go back to normal and after all that I still have to take the pill befor jadelle I was 60kgs I put on 15ks so sitting at 75 almost hitting 80 I'm struggling to keep at 65 but the smoking helped that with not wanting food all the time I will be removing my implant ASAP and warning others of the bad parts

I have the implant on july 28 2014 and I have lost so much of weight I don't know what to do...plus I bled for 8 months and wen I do get my period then my period ends a few days I'm not bleeding then I start bleeding again just after my period....my doctor said its dangerous cause mosy people end up in hospital

Yes,nausea is one of the side effects. Iv had my implant for a week now and iv been having nausea a lot.

I am 37 and have had jadelle for around 10 months, i just realised the other day that my sometimes extrem reoccurring headaches, 11kg (im 67kg) weight gain and sometimes sudden onset of itchy groin area are all since having the jadelle, i am wanting to have them removed now as iv never being so heavy in my life..mainly around my waist, i look 8 months pregnant! Any1 else had extream weight gain and lost it after having theres removed please?

I got my jadelle just over two weeks ago recommended by midwife and doctor I just gave birth to my 5th child four weeks ago and my bleeding had only lasted after giving birth 1.5 weeks as soon as I got jadelle inserted 24 hrs later bleeding massive headaches and boy my moods are just omg u could say. Im bleeding more now being in the jadelle than I ever have after giving brth. I was told about the side affects but also got told I most likely won't bleed like I done with the depo who can afford or want to be heavy bleeding this long I'm over it already.

I think you need to get medication for that or speak to your doctor and he can tell u wat Best action to take

I was told by my doctor, that if I were to bleed out to 6+weeks then to have it checked out.. They can prescribe pills to control the bleeding.. You don't wanna loose too much blood which could explain your other Symptoms.
