I Need To Find A Doctor In Fort Worth Texas That Prescribes Pain Killers (Page 4) (Top voted first)

Updated

Does anyone know a doctor that is good about prescribing pain killers like hydrocodens 10/325 in fort worth Texas? I am a diabetic type 1 that has a lot of pain and really in need of a good doctor that can help me out and not think i am faking pain.

TexasMD, what you said about Texas applies to every other state. I know that many drs lie to patients and tell them these things which creates and adds to the misinformation. We need to trust our drs to a point, but not so much that we don't verify what they tell us. Drs aren't perfect, they do make mistakes. And sadly, some lie.

I remember when Soma first came out. Our dr wanted to prescribe it for my severe muscle spasms and was telling me it was much safer than valium. I told him that I didn't take medications that were just out on the market and that I was willing to bet him that it wouldn't be long before they discovered that Soma had the same dangers as Valium, if not worse, he replied "you're probably right."

Yea but the Doctors are allowing this to go on as well. They know how very effective these meds are to people and how much it gives people a generally better quality of life. They should be coming together and telling the government asses, that think they are doing a good thing, yea bust the ass of the jerks that are ruining this for all of us! But STOP GETTING IN BETWEEN DOCTORS AND PATIENTS! ! These good doctors need to stand with all of the "supposedly free" Americans. Safety and p.c. bullshiite is destroying this country. And they wonder why Trump is winning.

Whatever you do, do not visit Dr Ince in FTW. He will always treat you like an abuser and drug addict. Theyll hand over "Oxaydo's" which is crap and barely relieves pain, theyre coated so you cant "abuse" them or cut them up. He's awful, but honestly most pain mgmt are... be careful out there. Let me know if you find a really good one, would love to hear about it! Good luck!

It would help so many of us if they would legalize marijuana.

JJ, for some reason the doctors you have seen don't believe in the professional judgement that you need the medications you think you need. I have several friends that are chronic pain patients that are prescribed the medications you say doctors won't prescribe you.

Did you ask the doctors to prescribe these medications? If you did, that may be the reason they wouldn't prescribe it. Did you see each of these doctors for at least six months and take the medications they prescribed you?

There are No Laws preventing any doctor from prescribing medications they believe are best for a patient. So there are no grounds for litigation.

My spouse and I are both chronic pain patients and we are in the same situation as you. If you figure a way to sue or anything of that nature we would be happy to assist in any way possible.

Great doctor. I want to know his name so I do not use him.

If he addicted you, he is obligated to slowly reduce your meds. I recommend Tylenol 4. Much less addictive, but just a little less effective against real pain.

You can be off it in 4-7 days; and back in pain.

Keep in mind that if the doctor does not care if you are in level 8-10 pain, fire him! It is your right. He has violated his hipocratic oath and does not deserve the "Doctor" title.

One of these days soon people should quit putting up with this crap and start filing complaints with the State Med Board. Or, just sue the Dr. if you end up having a stroke or loss of functions; suing is your right.

Ask your doctor if he was in level 8 pain; what would he do? Go to a doctor that has some empathy; go to a doctor that believes the FDAs BS; or self medicate. My bet is the latter.

There are 14,000 over dose per year. Most from non-prescription meds. There were 480,000 deaths from tobacco last year. The FDA is focusing on prescription meds due to politics and funding. The FDA will never go after Big Tobbaco; they are cowards. Congressmen like Joe Barton (R-TX) would protect tobbaco. And Tobbaco would out spend the FDA for a defense.

And just like opiates, they would end up blaming the users.

I have Lupus and Transverserse Mylitis and in severe pain and see a rheumatologist and they dont prescribe pain meds. I am home bound and can not go to lots of dr. a month. Who is your rheumatologist? I hate going to pain management. Also hate being treated like the scum of the earth because I consume marijuana that helps with my pain.

Jack, there are no state or federal laws that state a doctor has to prescribe a particular medication to a patient. It is up to each doctor and their professional opinion what they do and don't prescribe patients. A state licensing board can suspend a doctor's medical license if the doctor does not consistently keep required medical records when prescribing opiates. Or if a doctor prescribes opiates in an unprofessional and irresponsible manner. But, no licensing board is going to do anything if a doctor won't prescribe opiates to a patient.

Anyone can file a complaint. But, there is no way a patient or anyone else can make a doctor prescribe a particular medication at a particular dosage if a doctor doesn't want to. The patient needs to be aware the doctor may dismiss them if they file a complaint. If this happens, the patient may find it difficult to impossible to find another doctor to prescribe for them. They will be labeled as a drug seeker.

My mother has been taking Soma forever.. She has tried all the other meds they have offered her. I took her to her pain management doctor and they just took her off... My mother is my life and I can't see her in pain.... This is ridiculous.

Does anybody know of a good pain management Dr, "hopefully in tarrant county, but surrounding area will work" that I can go to, I have had a torn rotator cuff now for about 14 years now that is really starting to give me problems. i have taken perc 10's and norco 10's before that has helped a lot that I got from a family member. I would like to just get started on some type of pain management. preferably a doc that requires mri, so they actually know about my injury. not wanting a quack that just prescribes with out knowing.thanks for the help.

Let me know if you find one because I have the same problem. I have an uncontrollable dry cough and that is the ONLY thing that will stop it. My doctor keeps trying me on new cough meds and it is a waste of my money because they do NOTHING.

Cough meds containing Hydrocodone will be moved from a Schedule III to a Schedule II later on this year. That means it can't be called in, no refills, you must see you dr every 90 days if you take it.
