Hydrochlorot 25mg And Leg Weakness/ankle Pain

I have been experiencing leg weakness and take 25mg HCTZ. I have controlled diabetes. My ankles hurt and feel as though blood flow is not there. Can this be a side effect? Is this the start of PAD?

Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that's used to remove excess fluid from the body, so the symptoms you're experiencing may be due to dehydration, if you're not taking in enough fluid to make up for what this medication removes.

Are you on any other medications? How much liquid do you take in each day, not including caffeinated beverages or alcohol?
