ive been having ear problems an no meds the doc gave me worke. went to a ear specialist and saw nothing wrong .but it still aches, he gave me this to put in my ear is that ok to use,

Hi Denise,

Sorry to hear about your ear infection. I realize this post is from a while back, so I hope you've managed to get things under control at this point in time.

For future reference though, Clotrimazole + Betamethasone dipropionate is comprised of an antifungal + glucocorticoid steroid with anti-inflammatory & immunosuppressive properties. It's generally applied as a lotion, gel, topical cream or ointment. However, I don't see anything that says it's good for a bacterial infection (unless it's fungus related)... So you may need to get a second or third opinion on what treatment option might be best for you; especially if they weren't able to find anything wrong the first time around, despite you being in pain.

Are you on any other types of medications or supplements that could potentially be contributing to the problem?
