I took a half of a 50mg pill on Tuesday for my anxiety? I'm trying to figure out if it will show, or do they have to be actually looking for benzos to find it.
UpdatedI have been taking zoloft 50 mg for 6 years now. I felt my anxiety coming back a little stronger so my doctor up my dose 25 mg. so I have been taking a total of 75 mg for 2 months. I have been having bad problems with dizziness and lightheadness. I thought that the side affects would diminish but they are strong as ever. Is this normal to have these side after 2 months? ## No, that's not normal. Most side effects usually last about 4 to 6 weeks, then taper off in severity, once your body had gotten used to the medication or dosage increase. Are you on any other medications? Has anything else changed in your diet or daily routine recently? ## I'm on Diovan for blood pressure which I've been taking for 10 years. I have noticed that even taking Zoloft my anxiety is still always...
I was on zoloft/sertraline 100mg.for 3 years and began weaning myself slowly a few months ago (with Doctors recommendation) and have not had ANY pills for 32 days. Well it has been alot harded than I ever thought. I have been sick to my stomach almost daily since, and have alot of dizziness and these weird quick electric shock type feelings through my whole body at times. Not to mention I feel like im coming apart at the seams at times. EVERYTHING makes me cry, even NOTHING makes me cry. I began the meds when I miscarried twins because of sadness & stress but always was mentally pretty stable. I didnt think it would be a big deal quitting. Sometimes I feel like my brain is damaged since I stopped them.Does anyone know how long these withdraw symptoms can last? And anything I can do ...
Hello Folks. I've been prescribed Zoloft after being on Vailum (for a inner ear issue). It made me tired. So I was switched to Paxil then Wellbutrin. These made me even more tired! So, I'm back on Zoloft. This is my 9th day. I now take at night. I now wake up at night (10 minutes or so), have dry-mouth, and fell very, very depressed, for no apparent reason. So, from the reading around I've done, looks like this is normal, and I will feel better soon? I've never suffered depression until now, so this is very, very frustrating and disconcerting. I'm scheduling appointments with psychologist and psychiatrist but not really finding answers on what to expect with this med. ## Hello, Chuck! How are you? Yes, such side effects can be normal and may occur for the first 4 to ...
Can you have any alcohol while on Zoloft? ## Zoloft contains the active ingredient Sertraline, it is an SSRI antidepressant. There are risks to combining it with alcohol, this can aggravate the side effects, which can include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and dizziness. You can read more here: Do you have any other questions? ## I know that when I drink I need to put of taking zoloft for 24 hours because I will feel bad. If I take zoloft too soon after drinking (i.e. the next morning) I get a headache, feel tired, depressed, and overall crapy. ## I have been getting very dizzy with sweats at times and have fainted once since using Northstar generic Zoloft
I am on 200 mg per day and it has been an excellent solution for me. I was experiencing severe anxiety attacks due to a life situation, it eliminated that. 2 sides effects: decreased libido and tremors. One fascinating effect: I call them "brain tours". They happen when sleeping at night or dozing in the chair. My body will be absolutely asleep but my brain is 100% awake and alert. I can hear other people' s conversations and remember them, I confirmed it the next day. One night I made up a nonsense word during a tour, I thought if it was a dream I'd forget the word because I forget dreams. I still know the word, flibberpeanut. During tours i cannot move my body, like in REM sleep. The first few times it scared me but now it is fascinating. I use these tours to explore t...
My friend is pregnant ( first month). And she is depressed. Could she take safely deanxit or zoloft or citalopram? Which is the safiest drug please? And lexomil? ## I'm pregnant on deanxit .. is there any harm to baby ## While pregnant, you should not take anything, without your doctor's approval. No one online can tell you what's safe to take, because the woman's overall medical condition, as well as the status of the baby, must be taken into account. Thus, both parties need to consult their doctors to see what they can safely take. How far along are the pregnancies?
My mom is 80 years old recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. She has been taking zaldiar for pain killer and Zoloft for depression. I noticed some strange involuntary muscular behaviors ,eye twitching and leg movement. Also noted hallucinations. can this be a side effect of these meds?

I have never taken a Benzo in my life; but I just got a random drug screen; and it showed positive for them. the only thing I have taken within the last month was zzzquil, and Zoloft on a everyday basis. I was wondering if either of those could be the cause for me showing positive?!!
UpdatedThis small white pill was found in nephew's bedroom!! Definately a prescription drug, which was NOT prescribed to him. Help!!! Onlyarkings on pill are score- line on one side, and "50" on other side. Very small white, and football (or oval) shaped. ## How do you know it's a prescription medication? I've never seen this marking, without anything else, on any prescription medications in the U.S. Is it possibly something foreign? Have you tried asking him what it is? ## Small green scored oval-shaped pill, mint green both sides, one side 100 flip side R U. Have taken Zoloft and Sertrsline many times over the years. Don't know where mint green came from..nice color change.
I am on my second week of viibryd after taking from 100 mg of zoloft for over two years. I decided to switch because of the side effects zoloft was causing. I'm only taking 15 mg of viibryd now, I'm sensitive to meds so I'm taking it slow. So far I feel better. ..I enjoy my days more. ..I even started running again! My libido is back too which is great. .. The downside is that it is hard to get to sleep and I have restless legs. So far it's worth it. ## Hello, Dawn! How are you? I'm very glad that the Viibryd is working so well for you. The issue with falling asleep as well as the restlessness are normal and should resolve in a few weeks, as your body adjusts to the medication. Do you have any questions or concerns?
14 years on zoloft. weaned off slowly .. was finally off for aprx 2 mo. maybe less. suddenly at er then admitted. dry mouth severe, with bizzare behavior? what would treatment be? no history of any mental illnes. was put on it for IBS pain in 1996- 2010 ## Hello, Leah! How are you? Did they directly tie it to the cessation of the Zoloft? It would be very odd for something like to happen 2 months after stopping it. And the treatment would depend on the cause of the episode, it's difficult to even guess from just the limited information in your posts. What did the hospital do? Is there a chance the person took anything else?
I have been on Zoloft for years and once in a while I felt it wasn't working well. Now it's gotten worse and I cry a lot, I am shaky and easily hurt so much so that I am ruining my relationship. I have no reason for this since I am in the best place of my life. I feel crazy but I think it's a physical problem, not insanity. ## Hello- I am sorry you are having difficulty. I went through something similar. I had to admit I needed more help so I got an app to help remind me to take it regularly and at the same time. I reorganized the pill container and I felt better after a few weeks. If I hadn't I know I can ask for temporary panic attack med like Ativan or kolonopin if relative died, but if no crisis it meant I had to tell my doctor to up the dose. Please send a message t...

How are you doing? What type of doctor have you been seeing? It really seems that you most likely need to see a specialist and not just a GP. They have the training and expertise to know which medications and medication combinations can help someone in your position. What medications have you tried? ## I have seen psychiatrists tried Zoloft lexapro paxil Effexor abilify zyprexa seroquel trileptal and every benzo no improvement in my PTSD depression OCD se...
I TOOK SERTRALINE WHICH HELPED GREATLY BUT CAUSED WEIGHT GAIN. I WAS THEN GIVEN WELLBUTRIN SR BUT PHARMACY SUBSTITUTED BUDEPRION SR WHICH I HAVE NOT TAKEN YET. IT'S FOR DEPRESSION. ANY "HEADS UP" THOUGHTS ABOUT BUDEPRION SR? ## Hello, Ginger! How are you? There is some confusion occurring here and your pharmacy should have explained better, however, I am happy to clear this up for you. Budeprion and Wellbutrin are the same medication, they are both brand names for Bupropion. Learn more Bupropion details here. So, you have still been given the same medication that your doctor prescribed. It's an atypical antidepressant and smoking cessation aid and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, insomnia and headache. Is there anything else I can help with?
Does anyone know what Drug Manufactors make Generic Zoloft? ## Hello, Amber! How are you? There are actually quite a few companies that manufacture the generic, which is called by the chemical name, Sertraline. I can't list them all, but a few are Greenstone Limited, Camber Pharmaceuticals, Aurobindo Pharmaceuticals, Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Teva Pharmaceuticals. And as I said, those are just some of the manufactures. Learn more Sertraline details here. This is an SSRI antidepressant that may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, weight gain and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?
I found a small oval shaped pill with a break line on one side there is a 1 and an 8 on the other side of the break line but on the same side of the pill...what is this? ## Is it sort of pale yellowish in color? And does the opposite side of the 1 and 8 with the scored break line have an A on it? If so this is a generic form of Zoloft - 100mg. Scored to break so u can take just 50mg at a time in needed or if what dr prescribed. Zoloft usually an antidepressant or used for anxiety or OCD, but sometimes prescribed for other reasons. I was given for help with migraines. I have suffered with migraines off and on for years and have taken pain meds nd Imitrex in the past. Iv been on 25mg zoloft 6weeks and 50mg nearly 3wks when will it work fully ## If you've been taking this medication for 6 weeks now without noticing any benefits whatsoever, I would begin to think something was wrong. Not to sway you in the wrong direction, as I know some antidepressants can take up to a month or so to fully build up in your system, but even then you should feel some sort of changes in your overall mood... There's been a number of lawsuits against Zoloft in the past (I used to see them on TV all the time), so I do hope that you're responding to it well. Posted below are a couple other discussion threads that may help shed some light on what else to expect from this medication: Discuss/zoloft-163460.htm Discuss/Zoloft-178553.htm I hope this info helps in any ...
What are the side effects when taken with prescribed Klonapin, Zoloft and are a gastric bypass patient ## I HAVE JUST BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH GASTROPARESIS AND HAVE BEEN TAKING CLONOPIN AND AND ZOLOFT FOR YEARS. I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR WHAT ANYBODY HAS TO SAY ## I took that med & was pleased with the results, except, my hair feel out. After asking others, it seems that hair falling out was common. I discontinued, cause the hair loss made me worst thatn the med helped. ## My findings state that there are moderately unsafe interactions that apply to the medications Zoloft, Klonopin, and Depakote. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: -Applies to: Klonopin (clonazepam), Zoloft (sertraline) "Using Klonopin (Clonazepam) together with Zoloft (sertraline) may increase side ...
