Help With Zoloft

Hello Folks. I've been prescribed Zoloft after being on Vailum (for a inner ear issue). It made me tired. So I was switched to Paxil then Wellbutrin. These made me even more tired! So, I'm back on Zoloft. This is my 9th day. I now take at night. I now wake up at night (10 minutes or so), have dry-mouth, and fell very, very depressed, for no apparent reason. So, from the reading around I've done, looks like this is normal, and I will feel better soon? I've never suffered depression until now, so this is very, very frustrating and disconcerting. I'm scheduling appointments with psychologist and psychiatrist but not really finding answers on what to expect with this med.

Hello, Chuck! How are you?

Yes, such side effects can be normal and may occur for the first 4 to 6 weeks, while your body is adjusting to the medication. IT's probably also worsened by stopping the other medication.

As long as you are not getting suicidal thoughts, then it's really nothing to worry about, but it would be best to double check with your doctor to be safe.

Is there anything else I can help with?
