Neurologist has me on this for Inflammatory Polyneuropathy. Does this sound correct ? ## Hi Anthony Ramos, Based on my research, Alpha-lipoic acid has been safely used for over than 30 years in Europe to prevent and treat complications associated with diabetes, such as protein glycation, abnormal glucose utilization, polyneuropathy, and cataracts. I have seen a lot of information relating Alpha Lipoic acid to diabetic neuropathy as well. There are also studies which have proven that Lipoic acid can prevent inflammation. With that being said, there is definitely a chance that this could work for you and I would say that your Neurologist did prescribe you something that could be beneficial. It is a supplement that is very good for you, regardless. I hope this information is helpful!
I have low blood cells and was told i need to take iron can i take my years outdated conison iron capsules ? ## Based on my research, Iron tablets (as well as vitamin supplements) are often noticeably less potent after they expire (especially for that length of time). However they should still be safe to take in my opinion. If you feel that it's not effective enough due to the difference in potency, it may even be worth your while to just go ahead and purchase a new box. I hope this helps!

Just found white oval soft gel no outside lettering or markings with an orange substance in the inside. Any ideas what this could be? ## Hi Bean, Honestly there's no way to really identify something that has no markings, unless you get it lab tested. But based on your description, I get the sense that this is more than likely some sort of dietary supplement, such as omega-3 fish oil, vitamin E, or some other OTC medication. I can only say that because I have actually seen certain fish oil and vitamin supplements both come in gel capsules like that. Did you just happen to find this pill somewhere or were you sold it?

Updated in Folic AcidThere are ablosutely no numbers on either side of the pill, which is round and pinkish. It is not an american pill, because all american pill have numbers on them. ## Actually that is incorrect, not all American pills have numbers, or markings on them. That only applies to prescription medications. Over the counter items are not requires to have any type of imprint and, even when they do, they are not required to log them with the U.S. FDA. That means this could still be something from the U.S., however, it could be any one of a large number of over the counter products. The med is the reliable neurotonic partner in the comprehensive management of neurophathies ## This is not an actual medication, it is a vitamin supplement. As such, while it is commonly given, in some countries, to help with certain types of nerve pain, it will really only help if a deficiency in them has been contributing to the pain.
