Sorry you aren't doing that great!! I am loving this. I can drive again!! I take Wellbutrin, Vii, and Xanax...seems to be the right go together for me. Tried going off the Well, but that didn't work. I take 350 of the Well, am on 40 of the Vii, and .5mg xanax up to 3 times a day. The generic Well isn't as good as the real thing, but my insurance won't cover anything but the generic. It can't hurt to try it. That is one drug that at least for me and most I know have had no problems with.

I have read this on other forums and I think someone on here had the same problem. I can't tell, I have thyroid issues, so my hair falls out anyway..It is a side effect for some. Good luck!!! Maybe Google is and see if anyone has a solution.

I forgot about Evening Primrose Oil. It is suppose to work well for people with hair falling out. Just read, it would slow and then make hair grow within 2 months.

Also, this is from a thyroid article, but is true for every one,...deficient in iron and the amino acid lysine. Lysine is the most difficult amino acid to get enough of via diet. Lysine helps transport iron, which is the most important element in the body and essential for many metabolic processes. When lysine and iron levels are low, the body probably switches some hair follicles off to increase levels elsewhere. Meat, fish and eggs are the only food sources of lysine. There are also supplements that contain lysine.

There is a lysine suppliment. It is also useful in the treatment of herpes. I'll give it a try to save my hair!

I also noticed MAJOR hair loss. Am hoping it is temporary. Does anyone know? Went back on Lexapro for a month and hair loss stopped, but the sexual side effects returned.

I was taking Viibyrd for about 3 weeks and I had to stop. It just made me feel bad . So my doctor put me on Wellbutron 150 2xday and and 2 mg of Ambilify . I do feel much better and have energy. I have been on this 2 weeks. I hope this helps.

Started Viibryd on the 15th after taking Cymbalta for about 10 years and I have not had more than 3-4 hours sleep since. I am needing to switch over because of the nuero side effects of Cymbalta--toes and feet numb all the time--My doctor had me start with the 40 mg instead easing into it which I concerns me after reading the many posts here--he had me quit the Cymbalta cold turkey--but I have sense decided that I should ease in to it as directed on the sample pack. The first thing I noticed on Tuesday was my skin tingling and my sense of touch is so much more sensitive than it has been in years. Yesterday after taking a 10 mg on empty stomach and meeting a friend for breakfast, she mentioned that I was acting all "manic"--I had energy and I know I was talking like the energizer bunny. I noticed last night that my libido seems more heightened--this is a good thing, but my main concern is the lack of sleep. Will these negative side effects subside ANY as time passes? I will be calling my doctor and pharmacist tomorrow to ask more questions because I can't go to spend week with family over holiday a raving manic. Know what I mean?

Hello, I stop Viibryd cold turkey 8 days ago, so far no side effects, or may I say the side effect is no more side effects? like very bad stomach problems like gas, mild nausea and diarrhea, acid reflux, coughing, sinus infections, colds, insomnia, manias, weridest scary dreams (I usually dream like "sci-fi movies" which I love but this was just too much horror) some times I think I saw "things"
I'm not so sure about hair loss as I have always had that problem, but looks like indeed I saw more in the shower floor, 3 people at the store and gas station told me I had pretty hair in the same week, but I've been dying it with henna which it really makes it healthier shinny and stronger
I just had a headache like the first two evenings and crying, I still can cry for everything since I know myself, but the meds would supress that so I guess is ok

After the very bad time I went through when the Doc changed me from lexapro cold turkey to Viibryd, I though I was not gonna make it going cold turkey with Vii but so far I believe that I don't really need more meds, I pray God I can controll myself and so far this past week I did ok even when my 2 little kids were in a very bad mood after having Thanksgiving week break and they didn't want to go to sleep/wake up in the morning and they were tired and yelling me for everything and I was not going crazy, unbelievable! I think I can make it, Lexapro was good for a while, I thank God for it, but it just started to give me problems and Vii was worst, I guess I won't even miss the extreme libido as my DH doesn't care about sex, I just realized that I haven't though about sex anymore this past week like while on Vii, it was driving me crazy like if I was happy for wanting all the time to have sex (which I was not getting anyway) it was giving me a false strenght and happiness, it was like I didn't mind about problems, sounds nice but that is not the reality

I really hope and wish all of you living with depression that you can find the proper med that makes worth living instead of more problems, depression and anxiety are really illnesses and some Doctors don't take it seriously, if you see your doc doesn't care, find another, and another, there are nice docs out there that really care about helping their patients

Ive been on it for about 4 months, and it has been the first of many thats worked for me, I havnt had any noticable hairloss or any extreme sides with the vibryd like others here. I take vibryd with Mirtazaphine (remeron). I feel great, however, if I miss a dose of the Vybryd, I can definately tell. Its been a great med for me. You just hav 2 find what works 4 u.

My experience with Viibryd withdrawal was nearly identical. I developed serotonin sickness syndrome on it and was told to stop taking it cold turkey at 40mg.

So I did. It 's been a hellacious eight days.

BE ALERT, folks ... psy docs and np's don't always know the ins and outs!

I started Viibryd 2 months ago, then skipped a couple weeks while I was short on cash. Man, could I feel those withdrawal symptoms. I was locked in my house for nearly a week and completely stopped taking care of myself. Once I started it again though a month ago, I've felt great. Does anyone get a little Manicky right after they take it? I'm Bipolar II so it might just be me..Please everyone, do not go off of this stuff cold turkey, especially if you're very low functioning off meds like I am..What do you all think of it so far? It's been the best med I've had in a while, and I've had a lot! Does anyone do a wellbutrin/vii cocktail?

Yes, I take Well, Vii, and Xanax...and bunches of supplements...plus on Thyroid meds. This med has been amazing for me. You can look through the post...I have posted many times on here.

I did try to go off Well...bad idea...have posted the why's earlier. Anyway, glad to see more people with good luck with this med!!! Happy for you!!! You can also look up Chipur and see more posts about Vii.

I've been on V for almost three months now and am going to start tomorrow (with my doc) to get off it. I am also on Wellbutrin and Xanax and between the three, I have a whole host of issues that I never had before Vyvanse - the blasting hot flashes, severe itching, insomnia, sleepiness, lightheadedness, fears and anxieties in daily tasks. The happy, happy, joy, joy is gone - and I can't imagine taking more than the 40 I'm on daily today. I'm sick of meds making feel like crap - and angry that weaning off is such a b****. I accidentally missed two doses over a weekend and had such vivid, horrible nightmares and sweats - really? I have not (knock wood) had the hair loss that so many others here seem to have experienced and I am grateful for that - but the rest of it has been a crap shoot. Tired of being a pharaceutical guinea pig since I, too, started because those were the samples my doc just happened to receive. Really? Not sure I call that evidence based medicine --- but then again, I get agitated and angry and cry quite easily these days so I'm not sure which emotion to trust. I wish you all the very best with V or whatever meds work best and that you all find something that will work for you that you can live with. For me, though, that will no longer include Vybriid.

i just started seing a ne pain specialist before i was on paxil,wellbutrin which was on for year and worked good for me.i was diagnosed with chronic back and knee pain my old pain spec i felt he used me a a guinee pig after havin 12 injections and a spine stimulator in my back and five months of telling him it wasnt working he took it out so i sweitch doc. the took me off the paxil and wellbutrin didnt tapper down and replaced it with viibryd starting at 10 mg then 20 then 40 i just took last dose of the 10 mg today he also took me off mobic he put me on diclofenec100mg 1 time a day and lyrica75 mg 2 times a day kept me on nexium and my klonipins and started me on opanaer 40 mg in the past i was on ms cotin,oxys percecets u name it the opanas just got app yesterday i was in e.r with alot of dizziness on sun and last night was so dizzy n wierd feeling honestly thought i was going to pass out they did blood work amd urine test and the e.r. doc said he had me on way to high dosage of pain meds which didnt know lyrica or the diclofenac was either but im finding it hard to sleep at night terrible headaches just feels as if i here but not feeling anybody takes any of these meds and have had same side effects or is it just the cold turkey stopping the depression pills and auto going to viibryd not sure any advice?

Had a nightmare experience on Viibryd. Just after a month on 10 mg, I began to feel very wound up in the afternoon. Doctor decide to cut the dose by 1/4 of pill -- and for first time in life at night I woke up with anxiety over the top, soaring feeling. And then getting off this tiny dose if Viibryd has been wicked. It is by far the worst experience I have ever had on any drug of any sort, including other AD. When all these new Viibryd users start to go off of it, I think there is going to be quite a problem out there. be careful.

Taking 40 mg. for four months. I missed one dose. That night I had horrible feeling of being awake but not being able to move or call out. When I connected it the missed dose of Viibryd, I took it right away. The anxiety went away. I am scared to death of the withdrawal from this drug.

Same here, I had so many problems I didn't even know if they were connected to the Viibryd but knew they HAD to be! Everything hurt! From feet joints to neck, I was getting zapped every night 3 hours before the next dose was due. I was up to the 40's when this happened and then my doctor suggested maybe I was all of the sudden bi-polar or something because I was agitated and dizzy and crying and getting zapped...seriously! I am 46 and have been ok my whole life until Viibryd...talk about MAD! I took half doses for 2 days and have taken nothing for 2 days now...I can not get out of bed. I have no idea what to do.

that is called sleep paralysis. i have had it all my life, but have noticed a big increase of occurrences since being on viibryd.

This is powerful stuff. I don't know how an antidepressant can cause muscle and joint pain, but I have experienced this also. Call your doctor.

ok...7 days off Viibryd, I could not take the nausea, dizziness and overall sick feeling so I began taking some left over prozac I had at 20 mg per night about three days ago along with a couple Fish oil caps twice a day, the improvement has been huge. I am still going to switch doctors ASAP. He had me taking the Viibryd which was causing pain and headaches, so I took the tramadol he gave me and then because I was having severe migraines so I took my Amerge....that equals an entire week that I can not remember and from what I hear it WAS NOT A GOOD ONE. My doctor told me to stop taking the Viibryd and that is when the H*ll started. I am lucky I lived through it.
