Trouble With Getting A Suboxone Prescrption! (Page 4)

Hi All, My name is Amy. I was addicted to oxy's for seven years and then herion for 2 years. I live in Pa. I got on methadone and it really helped. I was on methadone for 7 years. I got off of it in Dec. 2008. I decreased very slowly from 80mgs to one mg. I thought i was gonna be fine, my counselor led me to believe I wouldnt have bad withdrawls, well 2 days after I felt HORRIBLE! I was in bad withdrawl. I bought suboxone from a friend. It worked a miracle! See I dont think a suboxone doctor will see me, first because I am not using oxys or heroin, second I suffer from P.T.S.D, depression, aniexty and severe panic attacks. I see a psyciatrist and thereapist. I am on klonopin, xanax, and effexor. I was told that I can not go to a suboxone doctor because I am on these medications. So I am in a hard spot. Because I do not have a sub. doctor and have trouble finding them I relapsed on herion on May 2, 2009. I actually Over dossed and almost died. I just dont know what to do, I definately do not want to get back on the methadone. Does anyone have any advice or live in Pennsylvania and know the laws about being on suboxone and anxiety meds.? I do not get high from the suboxone, it gives me some energy and lets me be normal, no cravings,I feel great. It just really sucks that I can not get a prescription for suboxone. Does anyone have a similar problem or does anyone know of anything I can do so I can get a prescription for suboxone. I see all this online stuff, but can i trust it? it says u can buy suboxone online. Is this true? Sorry this is so long, I am just confused and worried. I do not want to ever relapse again. I just need help getting a doctor. I have been taking suboxone for around 3 years but never have had my own. I want this to work and I know its a long term thing but if I don't get my own doctor then its just a perpetual cycle. I live two hours from Pittsburgh can anyone help!!! Most have extremely long waits

I'm in Indiana with no doctor still. Needing help badly being a mother and being sick is just taking from my kids. This site won't allow us to put or numbers nor email. Just have no way of talking to anyone about this. I'm lost and scared. {edited for privacy}

Yes I know for a fact from personal experience you can be on suboxone and klonopin and xanax.i was addicted opiates 12 years I also went to methadone 2 years, finally I found suboxone,I was already seeing psychiatrist,who at time had me on adderall and klonopin and xanax.i am still on klonopin,xanax,and Zoloft,but switched from adderall too vyvanse witch is another aphetamine,I see another doctor about 45minutes away and he knows I am on these meds ,along with 12 mg suboxone,now I from Georgia,but they can't say no to treatment cause you have other problems,fact is you can be treated by your psychiatrist,and by Dr who prescribes suboxone just be honest as long as you take as prescribed,you can. Tell him he can call you anytime and count other meds to be sure you are compliant,or this is what I actually did at beginning,my mom came in with me and told my first sub Dr she brought meds too me,which she did,now I handle it.but you can get treatment don't give up.let me know wat happens,you are in prayers

The question is has anyone bought suboxone online? I can't find a doctor anywhere and I Dont want to go back to old habits..suboxone has kept me clean for 2 years..the first sub doctor I had went to jail for trading sex/pills..I found another doctor, but it was a 2 hour drive..without warning they stopped seeing clients, and moved/shut down..I want to find a doctor that gives tablets, not film..I've tried the film and they Dont seem to stop the urges like tablets do..I've told other people that have taken both and most said the same thing I did..my area code is 16248. I need help. All suboxone drs. Are way too expensive, or have a long waiting list. I'm struggling to stay clean from a major Norco habit. I live in Sacramento CA area. I'm not going to be able to stay clean for much longer. I have 10 days, I'd rather be dead than feel this way.

It is unfortunate that we have this addiction problem, and the simple solution is unreachable for the poorest of the poor. Why is it so hard to find a doctor to provide help to those who wants to be helped? My son, who had been on opiates for 6 years due to back problems (even surgery didn't help) went to a doctor who charges $250 for per visit. Had only one. The visit has to be monthly, to get the prescription. He does not have insurance, and looking for a job. But has restrictions, so job is not easy to find. What to do but quit cold turkey? Where can we find a doctor that will not charge that much? Medication is so expensive as well. We are in OH.

I am in Idaho and need subs desperately ; I don't respond at all to fent, hydros, methadone, only suboxone - but here, no one can get it unless used for withdrawls and I have chronic pain

Well Ive been on subs for 5 years and klonopin for the same amount of time because suboxone does not help panic disorder. I know xanax is a little stronger than klonopin but im at a 1mg dose a day when needed and I have never had a problem. My suboxone psychologist prescribes me both suboxone and klonopin as well as for my general anxiety (zoloft). They are safe to take together. So your doctor doesn't know what they are speaking of. Xanax and Klonopin are both benzos, and are safe to take with buprenorphine as long as you obviously arent abusing them! And all those getting on suboxone. I wish I knew this before I went on 5 years ago...do not start at anything higher then 8mgs ...even that is too high for the hardest long term opiate addicts. Suboxone is not a miracle drug. Im addicted to it now - the only good thing is that I dont buy it on the streets and dont crave or desire at all other opiates. Sometimes I think if I went cold turkey from painkillers instea of getting on suboxone - Idve been much better off. I was started on 8mgs of suboxone then increase to 16mgs then to 24mgs. Im down to 2-3mgs a day 5 years later and I struggle to take just 2-3mgs a day - even though I know i have to have enough until my next script. Withdrawals from this is so much worse than opiates (oxycontin, percocet, roxycodone etc) i know because Ive dealt with it. You need to properly taper down to at the most 0.5mgs for a couple of weeks before hopping off the drug or withdrawals will be hell. Not trying to worry anyone but its true Ive lived it. That is unless you want to stay on suboxone for the rest of your life then it is what it is. I wish I could but I want my family to know and I want to live a full opiate free life eventually. Not be controlled by the BIG PHARMA. And not have to deal with the red tape between doctors, insurances, and pharmacies - if I have a choixe no to. So before getting on suboxone, do what I didn't. And that is: research research research the heck out of the medicine. Too many doctors start patients on too high of a dose and they become addicted very easily. Im a walking example. In order of strength (even though suboxone is a partial opiate - think about this.) The Top 3 most powerful opiate type drugs: (notice oxycontin and roxys and even morphine dont even make the top 3). So here they are in order from strongest and down

1.) Fentanyl (100 times more powerful than Morphine.)
2.) Methadone
3.) ...Suboxone/Subetex

So please if you want this to help you get off opiates. Do extensive research and try to be on and off the subs within a 6 month period. Otherwise you get stuck on it like me. Even at 2mgs - suboxone is more powerful than 30mgs of morphine. Ok.
