When I refilled my perscription for Trazadone, I though the pills looked different. they are small white round pills with a split line and PLIVA 433 stamped on them. The old ones were oval I think. The old bottle says Trazodone 50 mg Tablet APO. The new one says Trazodone 50 mg Tablet PLI What is the difference? ## Only the manufacturer! PLI on the new pills stands for Pliva Pharmaceuticals and the other ones were made by Apotex. Most pharmacies will switch according to whomever provides the cheapest option when they have to reorder. Is there a problem with the distribution of trasadone ## Apparently there was a major trazodone shortage going on in the UK earlier this spring, but I haven't come across any specific details explaining what really happened. It could be that the stock is still low. Though it seems the only way to know for certain would be to contact the manufacturer directly. One article I did find stated that, "there is a liquid formulation 50mg in 5ml that may also be available in the meantime (MIMS price £31.91 for 120ml); and that you should contact your Lead Pharmacist for advice about alternatives to get you by until it's back on the shelves." for sleep ## I found that Trazodone 50mg really helped me sleep. I have a prescription, but also know many employers will not hire those on antidepressants (of which Trazodone is classified). I take 100 mg per night for insomnia and have for 30 years. Trazodone was prescribed for sleep. I am suppose to take 2 at bedtime. This pill has Dan on one side & 5599 on the other. It is a round white pill. I just received my 3 months supply from Medco. These pills are a white round tablet w/ Barr on one side and 555/490 on the other. Is it safe to take Bencoprim with 50mg of Trazadone? I have been doing so for a month or so.
