Bencoprim Vs Trazadone

Is it safe to take Bencoprim with 50mg of Trazadone? I have been doing so for a month or so. Someone mentioned to me that it was very dangerous, and lucky I have had not real issues?

Hi Kay,

My findings state that there are "potentially" unsafe interactions between these two drugs. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of:

"Using trazodone together with (bencoprim) cyclobenzaprine may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience some impairment in thinking and judgment. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with these medications. Avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medications affect you. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor."

While this interaction isn't necessarily dangerous, I would still consider other safer alternatives to use together so you don't have to worry about this interaction leading to any problems in the near future.
