I just found out from my Dr that tramadol is schedule 2 only in Louisiana? I was cut back to 2 a day! Is this really true? ## Hello, Sam! How are you? Yes, that is true, it was changed to a schedule 2, but not just in Louisiana, it's changed overall for the entire U.S. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Schedule 2? No.. Schedule 4 (IV). Where do people come up with this crap information? ## Tramadol is a Schedule IV in Louisiana. Soma has been changed to a Schedule II in Louisiana. ## I'm in Louisiana and need to know the laws here to become a pain patient {edited for privacy} ## There are no laws stating...

Tramadol is a good medication especially for arthritis, and I can tell you this works better then many of the other medications which have a variety of side effects, and are more costly. I have a plate, and screws in one hand, as well as neuropothy in both of my legs, and tramadol helps with the pain. I could care less if they don't want to prescribe pain killers, because the tramadol are just as effective, and are cheaper. The Dr has now given me grief when prescribing me the tramadol because of the DEA, are you kidding me? What is troubling is somewhere along the line, they have forgotten about the quality of care, and relief some medications provide. Its not like I am asking for Oxy, or other strong narcotics, so what is the problem? The Dr. of course wants someone like me, 61yr ...

Please could you tell me if Tramadol and gabapentin is a Narcotic ? Thank you! ## Hello, Kathy! How are you? The FDA classifies Gabapentin as an anticonvulsant, though it can also help with certain types of nerve pain and some mood disorders. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, weight gain, dry mouth and mood swings. Tramadol is, however, classified as an opioid, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, drowsiness and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have some pills that are little white round and don't have no imprint expose to be tramadol ## Hello, Ray! How are you? If they have no imprint, they are most likely just some type of over the counter product. All U.S. prescription tablets are required to have imprints to enable their identification, in case of emergency. The imprint enables someone to discover what medication they contain, the dosage and what pharmaceutical company manufactured them. Only over the counter products are not required to have imprints. The FDA lists Tramadol as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I'm not sure which over the counter product this is, because there are m...

I slipped a disk 8 years ago. It was the worst pain I've ever felt. Horrible. The pain I have now with Degenerative Disk Disease is chronic, but between PT and the Tramadol I'm prescribed, the pain is manageable. Yesterday, I slipped on the ice and fell directly on the part of my back I originally fell on 8 years ago. Instant excruciating pain. After writhing on the ground for 5 straight minutes, I managed to get myself to the ER. I was prescribed Percocet 5/325 and Flexeril 10. The combination of the two relieves the pain, but does not eliminate it. I'm a big guy, and I swear that I should have a larger dose. My PCP is very old fashioned, and I'm honestly scared he won't renew the medication the ER doc gave me. I'm missing work right now, and can't go back u...

I am trying to find a legitimate online pharmacy to fill a tramadol RX. I've already thrown money away on some green pills, tramadol that came from India. My doctor has just retired and I have been on Tramadol for many years and find it very hard when I stop taking it. I have learned that many Doctors will not prescribe Tramadol and need help finding someone in my area that will. ## Hello, Wendy! How are you? Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, if you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. A general practice doctor won't be able to prescribe it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The easiest thing to do may be to find yourself a new PCP and then have them refer you to someone. What is your general location? Th...

Hydro/apap does not help much for chronic pain. Would it be okay to take Tramadol and Hydro-- together? ## Hello, Weezy! How are you? Since both Tramadol and Hydrocodone are opiates, it would be best not to mix them, unless your doctor approves. They can cause depression of the central nervous system, so taking both could cause issues, such as problems breathing, lowered heart rate and lowered blood pressure. The FDA lists these medications as being narcotic analgesics, so they have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you talked to your doctor to let them know that it isn't relieving your pain?

Has anyone taken these and if so are they the same as the an tramadols ## Hi, Benny! How are you? OL-TRAM is a foreign brand name for Tramadol, however, if you ordered from a foreign source they can sometimes be unreliable, so there's no way of being certain whether or not you've actually received Tramadol. I'm looking for a doctor in nh that is willing to prescribe me tramadol for my anxiety. I'm not some kind of pill junky, and am willing to have pills counted monthly to show I'm not abusing. I have found this to be a very effective way of dealing with life's daily anxietys. Just need a doctor that is willing to hear me out ## Hello, Kellen! How are you? Since Tramadol is an opiate analgesic, it's going to be difficult to find a doctor that will prescribe it for anxiety. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. You'll most likely ne...
