Is Tramadol Hydro Apap Together Ok

Hydro/apap does not help much for chronic pain. Would it be okay to take Tramadol and Hydro-- together?

Since both Tramadol and Hydrocodone are opiates, it would be best not to mix them, unless your doctor approves. They can cause depression of the central nervous system, so taking both could cause issues, such as problems breathing, lowered heart rate and lowered blood pressure.

The FDA lists these medications as being narcotic analgesics, so they have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Have you talked to your doctor to let them know that it isn't relieving your pain?
