Hi everyone, I am curious if anyone has experienced intermittent vision loss while being on levothyroxine. For about two months now my vision in my left eye will randomly disappear for 2-3 seconds and then slowly dissipate back to normal. I've been through a litany of exams -- retinal, cardiovascular, MRI/MRA -- that are all coming back clear and now we're wondering if it could be the medications I am on. I am also on humalog, lisinopril and Simvastin. Has anyone experienced symptoms like this with levothyroxine? ## Hello, Julia! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. Looking over your list of mediations, there is a chance that it might be due to the Simvastatin, according to the FDA, it has been known to cause several vision issues, which usually g...
Nature Throid is my prescribed thyroid med. One side of the pill says RLC and the other has N150. It is a small light tan pill and I am wondering whether anyone knows where I can fill my prescription for it in MA? I see a few people on this site are also taking it. My pharmacy is having a hard time ordering it! ## Dear Marin, Sorry to hear about your situation. According to a letter from the manufacturer, reported on December 11th, 2017, there appears to be a temporary shortage with lots of backorders working to be fulfilled. However, they go on to note that Nature-Throid ½ grain and 1 grain dosage forms are still actively shipping. You can view more details about this here: getrealthyroid.com/product-availability. They go on to note that, "any pharmacy can fill your prescripti...

I am about to start on Synthroid, and was wondering if anyone ever went off it once they went on -- would your symptoms be the same as they were before, just not better as they (hopefully) were on Synthroid? I'm leery of having to be on medication for the rest of my life ... wondering if it's worth it to just put up with the symptoms unless they get intolerable. ## My wife was on Synthroid for 6 years. We were frustrated with the lack of improvement of hypothyroid symptoms. We did not like the side effects like heart palpitations.
