l-thyroxine 75mcg. tab, light blue, markings 515 one side, jsp the other side ## It is manufactured by Lannett Company and is used to treat thyroid issues. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings, weight changes, and hair loss. Is there anything I can help with?

Hi,im 27yrs old, i got 10months old baby. My weight is 86kgs.. i consulted doctor for thyroid test.. i got reports with mild hyperthyroidism i.e. 7.99.... So I'm started taking thyronorm 50mcg tablet as doctor advices.. is thr any changes to loss my weight with treatment thyronorm tablet? I have been obese all my life except for brief periods where I Iost some weight only to gain it back. I'm now a 61 year old male, 290 lbs, 5'7" and was diagnosed for the first time with hypothyroidism in December of 2011, and I was started on 50 mcg's daily of Levothyroxine (Synthroid). That's 5 months now. I have following my weight loss plan faithfully, walking 2 miles every day, and I have lost SQUAT! Has Levoxyl been taken off the market again?? In November, 2016 I am being told by the pharmacy that I use (Walgreens) that Levoxyl has been taken off the market again because of quality problems, but I am not finding any information about such a recall on the internet. ## I called Pfizer, and Levoxyl 200mcg has indeed been taken off the market again. According to a medical test i had undergone recently, it was written that my T3 and T4 secretions were allright. But the secretion of TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) was less (my TSH was found to be 5.98 uIU/ml, wherease as written in the report, in adults it is found to be 0.27 to 4.2 uIU/ml). My latest TSH result was 0.426...below the normal to low range. My dosage was changed from 0.075 mg to 0.05 mg. Since my TSH was below normal, the latest dosage seems lower than the 0.075. I'm confused... ## @Dona, 0.05mg is indeed a lower dose than 0.075mg. If your thyroid hormone levels were on the low end, it does seem odd to me that the prescribing doctor would lower your dose; especially since levothyroxine is indicated for treating thyroid hormone deficiency... So I think any patient would feel confused by that decision... Have you discussed this predicament with your doctor yet to see what his/her view point is on the matter? I have been on 50 mcg of levothyroxine for 5 months and I have gained 15 pounds. My doctor tells me that it should be the opposite and that I should loose weight. Is this possible? Find the list of symptoms one expects to see over time if unmedicated and the dangers of undiagnosed hypothyroidism. I'm taking 137 mgs right now but when my thyroid was down the Dr. gave me a different mg level, but I can't remember if this is what it was, but it sure gave me energy and I lost weight, but then he changed it and said that I'm where I should be and if I continued it I would get osteoarthritis as the dr said that I'm right on the borderline. Hi, I am 8 weeks pregnant. My TSH thyroid level has come 308.2 in blood test during 6th week which is very high as compared to normal levels. I was not having any symptoms before conceiving so never consulted doctor. we got to know about TSH level only during blood test when I got pregnant..and it came 308.2, then we retested it again on empty stomach but it came 332..Doctor was wondering how i conceived at such high level of TSH. Levothyroxine. I use to take a purple bill(75MCG) and was sent a blue pill 75MG. I call the pharamacy and was told is was the same but just a generic form. My body feels different too.
