Tan capsule shaped imprinted with M on one side and L scoremark and 10 on the other Is this the 125mcg strength? ## Generic tablets DO NOT have a color code, the colors actually don't mean anything. They are identified solely by the imprints on the tablets. That said, yes, this tablet does contain 125mcgs of Levothyroxine, a generic for Unithroid. Common side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, weight gain and hair loss. You can read more on the medication here: Is there anything else I can help you with?
Started this drug 2 weeks ago and I feel like I am falling apart. Was taking it with an iron supplement as prescribed by my doctor. I was on .175 of Levothyroxine. I had a test done and the Dr. said my thyroid was too low and said I had to go up to 0.25. Is this a lower dose or a higher dose? Would it be due to high T4 levels or low T3 levels? I am confused. I've been steadly going up to the next dose each time I test. I've been at .175 for about 5 to 6 months. ## Yes, 0.25 is a higher dose than 0.175. As to which levels your doctor is referring to, I have no idea, you would really need to ask them. It is normal to try a certain dosage for several months and then make adjustments as needed, this is done with virtually any kind of medication. Have you asked your doctor your questions?
