My mother has been taking amnioderone and was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism - apparently amnioderone increases the iodine in your body. Please have your TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) checked with a blood test; normal range is 2.5 and my mothers was 77 before a diagnosis was made. She has no energy, pain in her legs, fuzzy memory-but we're told that if the TSH returns to normal the symptons will greatly improve.
