Hi doctor, Yesterday I took my mom to the Doctor in Sri Rama Hospital. As my mom is suffering from thyroid doctor Sadanand suggested her to take Thyronorm 100mcg through out her life. So I asked him that there is any side effects caused by this tablet. So doctor became arrogant & he started telling me that he is professor in Ramaiah college, he know what medicine he has given etc... 1) I want to know whether the question asked by me to doctor is right or wrong. 2) Why did doctor show his arrogance on me? Regards, Papu ## i am having thyroid problem from last 3 yrs. and i am taking thyronorm 100mcg but my weight is gaining day by day & from last two months i am not having my menstural problem what to do.

I would like to know the side effects of this drug. Does it conflict with anti-depression pills? ## Side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, weight gain and insomnia. Read more: There are warnings listed that it can cause problems with some antidepressant medications. You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are using one. Have you consulted them? ## What does it mean when the Levothyroxine tablet says on it GG 332 .. How do you tell if you have the right med?

im on 50mg of levotyroxine still feel like crap, still heavy, will it all change ## How long have you been taking it? Most medications require 4 to 6 weeks to reach their full effectiveness in the body and not all of them work for everyone that tries them, thus there is really no way to say whether or not this will change for you. You can usually tell, when you've hit this point, because that is also when any side effects you're experiencing will be most severe, such as nausea, drowsiness and dizziness, then they will start to taper off in severity. Have you consulted your doctor?

my daughter is 11 years old and has a slight swelling where her thyroid glands are . it is not very obvious unless you look carefully. She is tall for her age and very fit and athletic, will this create any problems in future ? Should we worry about it? ## You really should consult a doctor. There is only one Thyroid glance in the body and swelling may indicate some type of problem. If that is the case, then it will be much easier on her, in the long run, if it is discovered now, so proper treatment can begin early. Are there any other questions or comments?

m having hypothyroid, i gained weight n feeling joint pain n week........ please suggest me tablets n diet& excercise ## Have you seen a doctor and had any test done to confirm this? What treatment have they suggested? this site does not provide any medications and treatments, this is an information only website and, such medications usually require a doctor's prescription and supervision, because your Thyroid hormones must be monitored regularly and your dosage adjusted accordingly, if necessary. The medication most commonly used is Levothyroxine: It can also cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, weight changes and hair loss.

I have been taking this product for a number of years, and the past 2 years I have extreme bouts of total body itching(like chiggers), but you see nothing!! The only thing that helps is turning a fan on high over the body or if cold outside then go outside. I have noticed the past month or so with increased resistance training(weights) or the treadmill it is getting a lot more frequent. Gotten to the point I don't know what I can do without triggering it. I also take losartan 50mg, diltiazem 240mg, motrin 600mg,Isosorbide Mononitrate 30mg, and numerous COPD inhalers., and now I'm oxygen dependent for seem like anything other than sitting. ## Have you consulted your doctor about this problem? There are several possible causes here. One could be a circulation issue caused by the b...

Am being suffering from Hypothyroid and consuming T-25 tablet for the past 2 months but i don't find any changes personally added i found some strange feeling in my neck ## Not everyone experiences side effects from any given medication, some people don't experience any, at all, so that doesn't necessarily mean that there is a problem. Levothyroxine can cause weight changes and hair loss, which usually upsets some people that have to take it, so if you aren't having this problems, that is very fortunate. Has your doctor done blood tests to check your levels? Have they improved?
