Small round white pill. Hs letter m ingeained on other side has number 15, fells woozy, dreamy, equilibrium off ## Hi robin, I did find one possible match to this pill you are describing, however I cannot locate a photo of it for verification that the M and 15 are on separate sides. The pill with this imprint is identified as Northyx 15 mg; used to treat hyperthyroidism. This medication does have side effects like that which you described, so it could potentially be a match. For verification, the manufacturer of this pill is Centrix Pharmaceutical Inc and the National Drug Code (NDC) for this pill is: 11528-0320 I hope this helps! Please post back if you have any additional information to add.

I was one Levothyroxin for four years and recently found out my throid was/is normal and I never should have been on the medication. What are the risk of taking it when not needed and the doctor abruptly took me off the medicine ## Because Levothyroxine is a thyroid hormone that is used to treat hypothyroidism (a condition where the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormone), in the worst case scenario, I think there is a good chance of experiencing symptoms that are more so associated with hyperthyroidism. Other than that, some patients have reported withdrawal effects that may be associated with taking Levothyroxine. How long has it been since you stopped taking the medication?

my wife was pregnant and had goiter, she was taking thyrax as a maintenance drug for her goiter, can anybody give a idea whether thyrax ii or had a bad side-effect on pregnant woman,,, ## Based on the Thyrax (Levothyroxine sodium) pregnancy warnings, Levothyroxine has been assigned to pregnancy category A by the FDA. Levothyroxine is a naturally occurring hormone, normally present in both maternal and fetal circulation. Levothyroxine, in replacement doses, is not expected to adversely affect the fetus. On the contrary, hypothyroidism may lead to poor pregnancy outcome. Thyroid replacement therapy should be maintained during pregnancy. i presented at the outpatient dept. with signs and symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection. i was prescribed with Fedac by the attending physician. when i first took Fedac, i felt that i was slightly trembling, but i haven't associated it with Fedac intake until i took the second dosage of fedac later that evening. i became anxious and googled Fedac. i realized then that i failed to inform my doctor that i was diagnosed with goiter. for sure i will not be taking the 3rd dosage as i have discovered that it had exacerbated my hyperthyroidism. but my problem no is what should i do about my trembling? will i be okay now that i had taken 2 dosages of fedac? ## Hi Jane, Are you still experiencing trembling now that you stopped taking Fedac? I would think that it should subside as th...

First she told me to stop taking the whole pill which was 25mg and to take only half. after six weeks I was diagnose with Hashimoto's disease then she told me to take the whole pill again. 8 weeks later now she tells me to only take it 6 days out of the week except for Sundays. Its been 3yrs. and I still don't feel any better and it seem like I'm just getting worst. I used to weight 105 lbs. when down to 85 lbs. I'm 4' 11. It has been 2 weeks since I stop taking levothyroxine on Sundays. Should I just look for another endocrinologist? any suggestions would be great! can u drink any alcohol when ur on levothyroxine as am taking 200mg a day and was just wonering if it was safe to drink on it. ## Are you taking Levothyroxine after your thyroid was removed, or just supplementing with it due to an under-active thyroid? If you are taking Levothyroxine after your thyroid was removed, then from my perspective you have absolutely nothing to worry about if you drink as well. The drug they give you is supposedly identical to the one your body manufactures in the thyroid and therefore has no interactions with alcohol. However, both alcohol and Levothyroxine are broken down in your liver, so after a night of getting drunk or drinking a little too much, you may experience a lot more of the side effects from Levothyroxine, such as diarrhea and palpitations. With ...

I have been on Levothyroxine for 28 years, now on 100mg a day. I used to take it in the morning but switched to night, don't know why! Anyway what I would like to know does the time you take it affect your weight? ## From the information I've read no, the time of day it's taken shouldn't have an effect on your weight, but it is usually taken in the morning, rather than at night. Have you talked to your doctor about it? ## i have been taking thyroxine for 8 years. Used to be on 125mcg but have been reduced to 75 in last year. Blood test says its enough, so why has my weight shot up to 12 and a half stones? I have never been this big and try to eat healthy. Please help.....

I've been taking levothyroxin for 2 months and since i have been on it I my tongue has been so sore. Has anyone else has that problem ## Have you consulted your doctor? Are you by any chance holding it on your tongue, for any period of time, before swallowing it? Some tablets contain inactive ingredients that can be pretty acidic and can cause such soreness, if they are left to start dissolving on the tongue and not swallowed immediately.

P L E A S E H E L P! I have been taking 25mcg Synthroid and noticed immediately increase in energy, back to normal appetite, very clear headed and the depression CEASED. However, I gained 11 lbs within two weeks (WHOA) and was prescribed adepex. I took a Synthroid (on empty stomach like always), hours later I took two prescribed water pills and the Adepex. I continued to take only the synthroid and adepex and one week later I lost 8lbs BUT I NO LONGER FEEL THE EFFECT OF THE SYNTHROID!!! I stopped taking the adepex for one week and I STILL DO NOT FEEL THE GREAT EFFECTS I USED TO FEEL FROM SYNTHROID. Should I double my dosage? ## Hi Andrea - I wouldn't change your dosage of Synthroid without working with your doctor first. Also, Adipex is a pretty strong drug, so who knows how it inte...

I started out on 50 mcg/daily a few years ago. Then it recently increased to 75. I felt good and life was good. Then the doc increased it to 88. After 1 week, that's too much for me. I'm sleepy but can't sleep. I have increased thirst and hunger, which isn't a good thing. I also have neck and shoulder pain. And my test came out in the middle of the range at 75. So that's it. I'm dropping back to 75. I'm listening to my body. Quality of life is important to me. So that's what I'm doing. I'll wait a few days and see how I am. If I'm good again, I'll call the doc & leave a message. ## Did you talk to your doctor about it? Sometimes, it is necessary to do what's best for yourself and, if it was causing that many problems after just a w...

iS THIS A THYROID PILL AND DOES ITCAUSE WEIGHT GAIN? DOES IT MAKE YOU NOT ABLE TO SLEEP AT NIGHT? ## To answer your first question, yes, this is a thyroid medication. And because this medication speeds up an under active thyroid, "weight loss" is generally what one would experience as a result. As far as side effects go, dosing must be carefully controlled to achieve TSH levels within the normal reference range. Long-term suppression of TSH values below normal values will frequently cause cardiac side-effects and contribute to decreases in bone mineral density (high TSH levels are also well known to contribute to osteoporosis). Patients prescribed too high a dose of levothyroxine may experience effects that mimic hyperthyroidism; which can definitely cause someone to stay awake ...

If taking Levothyroxine 50mcg can I take also Spirulina based pill to loose weight? ## Hi Dude, Is there anything else in the Spirulina tablet that is not considered to be a natural ingredient? Spirulina is an excellent nutrient dense food supplement, so all the power to you on having it at your disposal. If Spirulina is the only ingredient, then taking it with thyroid medication should not pose any risks in my opinion, as some studies actually suggest that it may be beneficial if you have low thyroid-related weight gain. I hope this info helps!

Levothyroxine With Plenty Water; how much is plenty? ## Yes, that is a pretty ambiguous statement, however, the reason they word it that way is because many people take medications with just a sip of water, not realizing that they work better and disperse more quickly in your body if they are taken with larger amounts of liquids. Thus, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise, you should take it with, at least, 8 ounces of water. Are there any other questions?

since last 1 year i am using 50mg i am having sleep problem is this because of thyroid ## my Sugar (PP) has raised to 381.8 mg % even after taking care in avoiding use of sugar my TSH is 5.1 T-4is 8.4 and T-3 is 0.92 Please advise me can i take one Thyronorm 50 mcg per day ? what side effect may occur ? ## Mir, yes, it is well known that Thyroid issues may cause sleep problems. Have you consulted your doctor? You may not be in the right dosage of the medication. Govind, these thyroid medications will only help with Thyroid issues, they will not fix your blood sugar problem, unless it is somehow directly related to it, but that is not very common. What has your doctor advised you to do?

Does a person on 25 MCG of Thyronorm often experience the side affects of weight gain and hair loss from this drug? Or...is that fairly rare? I have thin hair and weight gain already...due to my slugglish thyroid problem. I hardly want to be on medication that causes these problems to continue. ## Yes, a large percentage of people do experience them, that's why they are denoted by the name 'common side effects.' However, since it would be used to help correct your existing thyroid problem, there is a good chance it will balance out for you, rather than worse the problem. Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor?
