I got a spider bit about 5 days ago and went to the doctor and they gave me sulfamethoxazole-TMP for it does it clear cellulitis from it because Ive begin to get cellulitis around the bite and its very painful. ## Hello, Lisa! I have been prescribed Sulfamethoxazole-TMP. I have been on it for 4 days now, taking 2 pills a day and all of a sudden I have developed a sore throat with no other symptoms.
