Hello, Dee! How are you doing?

Since it is sulfa based, this medication has the tendency to cause allergic reactions in a fairly large percentage of people that take it, thus, you really need to have that rash checked out by your doctor.

Learn more Sulfamethoxazole details here.

If it is due to an allergic reaction, they just tend to get increasingly worse with this drug and they can reach the point where they put your life in danger, so you may have to avoid taking it in the future.

I had an allergic reaction to it myself last year and it took over a month before the rash and other problems I had with it all went away.

Are there any other questions or concerns?
