I felt anxious and weak a couple days after the pills but then was fine. ## The time the drug therapy is required can depend upon the length and intensity of the person's addiction. ## Some people in drug addictions have trouble finding something eles in there lives that makes them feel happy, or reason to live even. Some can get right of herione and become back into a normal life style again with out much trouble besides the week you descirbed. Others forgot or never knew of a way to live life with happyness iin it. Thats what stops many people form getting off many drugs in my oppinion. I belive if you can show them a diffrent way of living life, hi...
I have to get into diversion.and the diversion officer told me they will take a hair drug test. And I know that suboxone does not show in a urine test, but I'm freaking out bc I don't know for sure about suboxone on a hair test, and I don't know if a diversion officer would be paying extra for a sub kind of test, being that I'm just applying to get on diversion. Plz somebody tell me something!!
UpdatedI live in Indy and an wondering if there is a doctor that would prescribe suboxone for short term use? Like a prescription for a couple weeks. They have no insurance. They have tried suboxone before and just need to kick a small habit but the mental part gets him. Is this even possible without going through classes post treatment etc., short and sweet that what they want. They are very knowledgable in everything out there. Please help! Any suggestions would be so appreciated! ## Like 7-10 8 mg strips would be perfect. ## Their is no such thing as short and sweet when it comes to addiction. I highly doubt you will find any doc who will prescribe for 2 weeks with no follow up or Therapy. "They are very knowledgable in everything out there." If this is so why are they still having ...
I found an orange round pill with the letter A on one side and the number 14 on the other side what is it ## Hi, Harry! How are you? The tablet meeting this description is listed as being a generic for Suboxone, which contains 2mgs of Buprenorphine and 0.5mgs of Naloxone, it is most commonly used to help treat drug addiction. Learn more Suboxone details here. Since it contains a narcotic, it does have the potential to be habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
Is everyone here perscribed Suboxone for drug dependency, addiction or abuse? is anyone here perscribed Suboxone for pain only? I asked this because I am on Suboxone and my pain Dr put me on suboxone.. For 8 years i was taking 80mg oxycontin x2 daily and 4 10mg perc x4 daily and it was not handling my pain very well.. after being put on suboxone i am doing much better, I only need 12 mg a day to keep my pain at a tolerable level.. i don't understand why it isn't being perscribed more for pain... My friends are telling me that eventually my dose will be cut and I will be taken off the drug and I wont be given anything else afterwords.. There telling me everyone eventually gets cut off because thats what it for... Thats makes no sence to me I am not on it for ddiction so I see no ...
My message is for the person who was saying something about other companies not making suboxone because the first company has the rights to making it exclusively. While it is true for a period of I believe somewhere between 3 -7 years after it hits the market, suboxone has been around long enough that other companies can now make the same medicine and be in direct competition with the makers of the original suboxone. And there are several different generic suboxone makers now. It's big business and big money to these corporations that those of us dependent on the drug remain hooked just as we were our drug of choice. I have started to taper down off suboxone now, and hope to be off it by oct, 2013. I'm not knocking it for use as a substitute for other hard opioids, it's just...
My dr stopd takin my insursanc.New dr wont b in for bout2 1/2more weeks.I will not hav any suboxone.I hav been clean an on it since last november.Dont know what to do what to do 3kiids an job so scared.Somone, please help! ## Hi, Hayley! Sorry about the problem you're dealing with. What is your general location, such as the nearest large city? If you can post back with that, someone may know of another doctor in your area that you may be able to get in to see sooner. Learn more Suboxone details here. Another alternative, if you find yourself in withdrawal, is to go to your nearest emergency room, where they can help you. Does anyone else have any advice or ideas to add?
How long does it take to ween off Suboxone? I've been taking 8 mgs for about 9 months. ## Hi willy, Usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them, "if possible". Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. In my honest opinion though, I think if you took a look at this other thread on Suboxone Abuse, and read post number 42 by James, it would be of great help: You may also want to consider posting in that thread to gain more help and support from these other users with personal experience. I hope this helps! ## Is there a way to be evaluated for Suboxone?
My problem of heroin abuse has been sporadic, I wrnt to clinic and they tried to put me on meth, so I decided to get subs of the street along with valium, im now day two of heroin 4mg a day going to cut down to 2mg tmoz then 1 it can be done its not pure easy but better than tied to a chemist,im now gping togo for councelling and do meetings ,,,fingers crossed x
UpdatedOk so I took Percoset, ran out. Then took suboxone. Wired a few days then took opiates again then went back to the suboxone now I'm back on opiates. About how long does the suboxone stay in your system with introducing other things with it? Or is the time frame the same? I took the last suboxone 8 days ago tomorrow. I have a drug test tomorrow. Will I pass? I've only done suboxone twice once was a quarter of an 8mg the second was a quarter of 2mg. ## Everyone's body is different and some ppl metabolize slower or quicker then others. I'd think the sub would be out by eight days, but that depends on a lot of factors with your lifestyle and eating habits too. After eight days I'd say you should be okay but you never know...
Small, tan oval shaped pill with 1/2 moon and #20 on it. ## While I can't find an exact match to your pill, I did determine who a possible manufacturer may be. Actavis Elizabeth LLC (formerly known as Watson) manufacturers tablets with what appears to be a half moon logo, similar to what you described. They happen to have a Suboxone tablet with a half moon logo and the #155 on one side. I'm not insinuating that this is your pill, but it could possibly be a similar drug if it ends up being from the same manufacturer. That said, I'd recommend contacting Actavis directly regarding your inquiry, to see if it's truly one of their own. The Actavis (U.S.) Customer Relations number is: +1 (800) 272-5525 I hope this helps!
no they want you to just do strips. that copay s*** is a prop to get youto switch to strips and go through doctors that accepr insurance. the 100 some you paid for the script is cheap man. don't get Molina insurance ## Would you then suggest paying cash out of pocket rather than working through any insurance company for that matter, not just Molina? This way you could simply bypass all the hassels of dealing with policies and go straight to getting what you truly need. Granted, not everyone has that kind of money to toss around. But in reality, many patients are also paying top dollar for their insurance companies each month in addition to their medication, only to be told that they can't use the one brand that was actually working for them anymore. It seems you either pay cash ...
Is suboxone & zanax dangerous to take together? ## Hi Anne, Based on my research, there are potentially dangerous drug interactions listed between Xanax and the buprenorphine found in Suboxone. From what I've read, using either of these medications together can increase your risk of developing serious respiratory depression, buprenorphine overdose, coma, and even death. Is this combination something your doctor prescribed to you? If so, he's really putting you at risk for some potentially life-threatning side effects. You may even want to consider switching doctors to someone who knows more about drug interactions; if not but for your own safety. I hope this helps! ## Thank you so much for answering my question about suboxone & zanax! Yes my doctor dies give me both...
Does anyone know of what vitamins to supplement the effects of long-term suboxene use? Been having a hard time finding the information ## Hi, Jax! How are you? The reason you aren't finding that information is because such studies aren't done. It's just not something that money is typically spent on research to see what vitamins best help someone taking any given prescription medication. It would be great if it were done, but I'm not sure that will ever actually happen. Learn more Suboxone details here. You should check with your doctor to see if it's okay for you to add a good multi, that would probably be the best way to go about it. Then you make sure that you get all of the essentials.
Hello all, I hope and pray someone can answer my questions. I've decided to get help for my addiction and made a appointment with the Suboxone Clinic. First app. was just answering a few questions about my history, then made a appt for the following day. I thought I was going to be treated at first appt. Nope! I took a COWS test, they gave me Rememeron for the withdrawals and told me that I need three more appointments before I can be treated with the Suboxone. Mind you this is a Friday. So I have to do all weekend, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday with withdrawals. Then they want me to do take a urine test and needs to be negative of opioid before they give me anything. Honestly I've never heard of waiting this long to get help. I cannot be sick, so I took a little bit of S...
Several yrs. ago I went to sub. dr. for opiot dependancy. He started me on one and half strips per day. The strips read 8mg-2mg. He weaned me down and I got off them. Not gonna get into story but I got messed up on pills again and went back to dr. yesterday. I told him I have a different insurance now and they won,t pay for suboxone so I,d be paying out of pocket. He prescribed the Subutex pill 2mg and said to take one and a half per day which is 3mg. He said this is same dose I started on back when I took the strips. I thought I was starting off at 12mg. last time with strips. This got me very confused. I guess I don,t know what the 8mg-2mg means on the strips. I thought the 8mg on the strip package was the ingredient that kept away the wds. I,m sorry this is confusing sounding but any...
Really wanted to know if I can take advil pm.for my head ach and help sleeping, but im on 8mg sub.a day and 10mg flexeril??? ## From what I've read, apparently there are dangerous drug interactions listed between the Buprenorphine in Suboxone and the Cyclobenzaprine in Flexeril. I'm not sure if you were already aware of this, but the interaction states that using these two central nervous system (CNS) depressants together may increase your risk of a Buprenorphine overdose, life-threatening respiratory depression, coma, and even death. Having said that, extreme caution on proper dosing should be advised by your doctor if he/she hasn't already mentioned this to you. Regarding Advil PM, the diphenhydramine in this medication also interacts with the Buprenorphine in Suboxone. Not...
How much does generic suboxone cost compared to real thing ## Prices are actually going to vary according to a number of different factors including: location, quantity, dosage, dosage form (i.e. sublingual, film, or vial), etc. However as a rough estimate, based on what I've seen online, suboxone can be up to a couple hundred more or less depending on whether or not you get the generic vs the brand name. Definitely a significant difference in price, but I believe many would argue that you do get what you pay for in the price difference. Everyone may react/respond differently though, so I would just be open to generic options if you've had luck with them in the past. I hope this helps!
I have been on 2mg suboxone for over 4 years to treat chronic back/ neck pain. Yesterday I was told that there is a backorder on suboxone. Suboxone is the only drug that will relieve the pain with out mind or mood altering effects. Has any one heard about this shortage ## Yes, there has been a recent shortage listed due to manufacturing delays, though I can't find any more precise details. Have you talked to your doctor, pharmacist about it? They may be able to suggest an alternative medication, or dosage. ## Yes I've been traveling recently aroun time to fill my 2mg pills & manufacture back up- from WV to louisiana where I'm from so having to get dr to write me the 8mg pills again. This site has info: ashp.org/DrugShortages/Current/bulletin.aspx?id=1030 even when the FD...
I was 5 years into my nurseing career when I crashed and burned hard. At the end I was misusing over 100mg of morphine /day, or 8mg hydromorphone, or 300mg meperidine. Went to heroin after getting caught and losing license. 3 to 5g/day if I could. So I was a very heavy user for 9 years or so. Went to rehab, did 35 days in patient. That first 30 was bad. Insomnia, PAWS, depression all pretty bad. But in patient, with 20 or more other survivors, structured days etc made it possible. After discharge (I went 3000 miles from home for rehab) I returned and plugged into recovery network. Meetings, sponsor, phone calls etc. First 2 weeks out (day 35-50) were tough. Restless leg, cramps, diarrhea, insomnia, depression, anxiety, lethargy, all part of PAWS. Friends in the rooms said it would pass....
