I have benn on generic suboxone for just over a month.I did feel better after about a week. That lasted for 2Weeks.Now 16 mgs.Split up over the day I get w/d symptoms and getting worse every day.Is it the generic giving me problems or this is the wAy it is? ## Hello, Chet! How are you doing? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. It could be that you require a dosage adjustment. Many people have reported this happening and have had to speak to their doctors about it. Have you informed your doctor of the problem, yet? The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## I have heard sev...

I have had some cravings lately so I took a couple buprenophine 54 375 pills. I SWALLOWED them and then realized they were the 8mg/2mg and also that i swallowed them instead of under my tongue. I have been f***ed up for 3 days. Bad headaches and no appetite. I swallowed them because i forgot how to take them and either way, it was way too much and I would say be careful. I will not do that again. These things are dangerous. ## When taken under the tongue, the bupe kicks the naloxones ass and it has no effect. When swallowed, the bupe has poor bioavaillabilty 5-10% max. Naloxone is absorbed by the stomach rather well, so it looks like in your case the naloxone beat the bupe. It doesn't happen very often. I feel for you. It sucks. I hate naloxone. Which is why I'm on Subutex. I ne...

In case no one knows about it there is a suboxone patient assistance program that will give you free meds (up to 24mg/day). It's not real public - but you can find info at heretohelpprogram.com Docs who are qualified to script subs can have up to three patients on it at any one time, thing is they don't make it easy. you got to get your doctor's fax line and have the company fax the papers directly to your docs office and if he has a cool secretary - have her make an extra set for the doc to have on hand so he doesn't have to jump through hoops to help hid patients and have her make a copy or two for you so that you can give them to your friends who are struggling and the can take them to their docs in person - no fax number needed. There's an income requirement - bu...

My boyfriend took subs while in bad detox then vomited and was still sick after half and 8 mg and 1 8mg . Did some really bad H and was tossing and turning with restlessness all night and over all crappy feeling. Was a little better when I woke up. Was the vomiting a reaction to the Suboxone ? ## I think he may have taken too much sub. I find less is more. I cut.it in 4 and.start with 2mg (1strip) and if i still feel bad in an hour.i take another. And sometimes ppl say.when they swallows the juice it make them nauseous. Try holding the sub till.it. dissolves and then spit out the juice but.hold it.as long as u can b4 spitting. It out. Good luck ## I've noticed most the people on here have pretty light habits. I took my last two does of sub yesterda morning n about 2pm 4mg in morni g snd 4 mg at 2pm. When can I start taking my hydrocodone10 mg and feel them n they work ## Hi starcastle, Many of the reviews I've come across in related threads here discuss waiting 2-5 days after Suboxone before being able to feel the full effects of other opiate/opioid analgesics, such as Hydrocodone. To me, this basically implies that patients should wait until they're in some amount of withdrawal from the Suboxone, in order for its presence on the receptors wear off. However, if anyone else has more information to add from personal experien...

just wanted to add a little bit here for people like me. I've been on suboxone for a month or so now, went to a clinic after moving down to Florida cuz I can't find anything on the street down here, and that's a good thing!!anyways on day 2 of detox after coming off of 8 milligrams every other day, feel pretty good but not 100%, I was eating a Roxy 30 a day or a couple few tab tens today pretty much anything I could get my hands on, I have been using Walgreens 1 daily men's multivitamin and a v6 compound good b6 supports your CNS health which becomes a problem when withdrawing off of Suboxone and the men's multivitamin has a lot of b6 b12 magnesium niacin and vitamin K that your body needs. I'm not saying it helps for everybody and I'm just a mechanic not a d...

It lets you search by zip code, so you can check for doctors in you area that treat with it and contact them to see if they accept your insurance. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Nodding off when he would lay on the couch before we would go to bed..small pupils.. which he works in the blazing heat everyday I understand where he is extremely tired... but he recently got prescribed suboxone 8-2 mg the pill form...He has been taking the subs for a little over a week.. since the subs I've noticed him a mall lot calmer on days but some days I see the same energetic, talkative , small pupils, happiness... I have been taking suboxone on and off for nearly five years now with a prescription. Last prescription being in December of 2014. And I have recently been involved with family court in Kentucky. I have been testing positive for suboxone and I'm just wondering if my recent prescription will be valid in court. I have to be in court on Tuesday and can't afford to see a doctor until the following Friday. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

ive taken 132mgs of suboxone over the last 2 weeks how can i guit ## Hello, Nolabob! How are you doing? A slow taper would be best and safest, your doctor should be able to help you set up a proper tapering schedule that will prevent most of the withdrawal effects. Have you discussed it with them, yet? This is an opiate, so withdrawal effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, fever and chills. It also carries the risk of being habit forming. ## Hey Vermon, My Dr has me on 12mg of suboxone 1 time daily I told him I wanted to get off of them asap I was sick and tired of being sick an tired Im 62 yrs old an had an addiction problem all my life or rather since I was 8or 9 yrs old . I have this weird red and grey spots on my foot and extreme pain throughout my foot as well from a subutex injection. It was very swollen for the first day or two a different started to get better then then pain just got worse and worse I can barely even walk on it. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions please comment with any suggestions at all. ## Hello, Mike! How are you doing? I'm sorry about the problem you've had. I'd suggest having it checked out by your doctor. It sounds like you may be having a bad reaction to it, or a blockage may have developed and, if that is the case, then it needs medical attention, before the tissue goes necrotic. The FDA classifies this medication as being an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potenti...

I've been on 16-24 mg of Suboxone for about 4 years and I've tried time after time to get off of it, but I cannot afford to take off work or lose my job because of withdrawals. I have to be able to take care of my family. I've tried tapering on my own and with the help of my Suboxone doctor who recommended that I stay on it. I have tried withdrawal ease, and cold turkey. After much research I found that many people who are stuck on Suboxone get off by stopping for a week, then going back to short acting opiates such as Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, or Morphine, then tapering off after a month or two. I would like to find a doctor to help me with this rather than risking it on my own, plus it would be extremely hard to do if I didn't have a prescription, especially since I don...

Any1 know if it's okay to take heroin say 4-5 hrs AFTER having taken my first dose - 6 decidedly inadequate mgs - of suboxone? ## In reality, it's never okay to take heroin. However, to answer your question, doing it within hours of having used Suboxone is probably futile and dangerous, since the Buprenorphine is a very potent narcotic and the Naloxone is used to neutralize other narcotics. Have you considered talking to a doctor to get help? ## Verwons answer to this is 100% incorrect. Sigh, I wish, before people answer someones' question they would know what the hell they are talking about. When a question arises, esp one concerning your health &/or something as serious as withdrawals, my first tip would be to research, research & research. The internet is a good p...

I'm nervous to start the new meds. the only thing I've heard about suboxone is people with serious addiction problems use it. I only take at the most 20mg of oxycodone a day, which I've been told to stop taking before putting on the patch of 5mg.... My doctor has told me to wait 2 days but I've heard anywhere from 24 hours, to 8 hours or wait until you start to feel sick from the withdraw.... I just want to know if anyone else has been transitioned this way? ## Hello, Jane! How are you? You do need to be in full withdrawal, before you can start using Suboxone. The reason for this is due to it containing the opiate Buprenorphine with Naloxone, which neutralizes other opiates, to prevent someone abusing them, when being treated with it for addiction. The FDA warns that it ...

Iv been on soboxine for a couple days. i smoked H couple hours after i took my sub. now to get back on the sub do i have to wait 24 hours? ## Dear Jigga H, u need 2 b in w/d b4 u can take the suboxone, again. Or, it will defeat the purpose and might make u feel sick. So , I would wait until u feel withdrawals b 4 u take the subs. ## Hi, You should wait 16-18 hours. You don,t want to take the chance of going into precipitated wds. ## i have been in the VA suboxone treatment for a while. I was on a good track for a long time then they got really strict and they treat you like a criminal in lexington ky. started cutting me off super fast. I was denied my rx of Suboxone 8/2 films today from US Scripts Lahealthcareconnection/La. Medicaid. The code said maximum of 365 per lifetime? Since when? Can anyone help me if you know anything about this? ## It is up to each state to decide certain things that their Medicaid will cover and if they will cover it to set limits on it is they chose. Louisiana Medicaid is making a lot of cuts, as are other states and it will only get worse.

People who moan and go on about how expensive suboxone and dr visits are well it's pretty simple and I say this because I to take suboxone ,I have for 2yrs 2 months it's not cheap but neither was your addiction I'm not stupid 20yrs of addiction has taken everything away from me now it's slowly coming back at $1.00 a mg or more in some cases like oxy-codon or Percocet 30 s I've payed $40.00 dollars a piece and that barley scratched the surface in getting me feeling better was taking 3to 4 a day everyday and I afforded that so the suboxone is very affordable compared to getting opioids off the street so do your best to make it work people and god bless ## Dear Jimmy24z, I totally agree with u. I,m an older man 54 who,s had addiction problems since teens. Did lot of drugs when younger. Stopped on my own for about 5yrs. About 10 yrs. ago had health problem and Dr. prescribes lortab. I did not tell him about addiction problem, I know very stupid. Got health problem squared away but was enjoying the tabs. I,m sure everyone knows how this story goes. Was doing 10-15 10 mg. tabs a day or whatever I could get for better part 6-7 yrs. Started doing 30mg. oxycodone 10-15 a day for past yr. and half or so. Sick of the s*** so went to sub dr. who put me on one and half film strip once a day in morning, I think it,s 12mg of the stuff. Never tried this before, but from reading different sites I,m wondering if I should have just gone through the oxy wd,s and been done with it. This week I,...
