Suboxone 8mg/2mg And Roxicodone 30's (Page 17)

I am currently taking Roxicodone 30's each day. I have suboxone 8mg/2mg to help get off of these. I know the suboxones are the best pill made to help with the withdrawals but I'm wondering if for the firsrt 3 to 5 days when I'm having trouble sleeping and feeling clammy, if i should take like half of a Roxicodone 30 (which i have done in the past), as it helps me to sleep and takes away the clammy feeling? Any other suggestions that you may have? Thanks to anyone answering this for me.

KC.....if you are barely awake when you are having the feeling of paralysis, you are experiencing nocturnal paralysis. when the brain is in REM sleep you are dreaming, although you may not remember the dream. The CNS paralyzes the skeletal muscles in the body ( this does not include the cardiac system or the respiratory. Your brain needs all the energy it can collect in order to go into REM sleep. However, if you are fully awake when you are having the paralysis type feeling let you doctor know, put it in his lap and he will give you instructions what to do, i.e. neurology consult, EKG, serum blood tests, among other things. I have taken them the next day with no withdrawals but I have heard you can get sick. I think it depends on how heavy of a user you are. Subutex
Is a much better option to start with then u can move to suboxone. Subutex will not cause you to go into withdrawal because it does not have the naloxolone it in. You can also get subutex from a methodone clinic if there is one in your area until u can find a dr to write them for u. If I have no insurance then the clinic is the way to go. (Some clinics except Medicaid) I didn't have that so My dose cost was $18 a day up to 16 mg of subutex after that it went up a few dollars. But was still easier then trying to find pills on the street!! Word of advice, they will try to put u on methodone at the clinic. It is very addicting more so then pills in my opinion and the withdrawals are very long lasting!! I've been on methodone, subutex and suboxone. I preferred the subutex or suboxone much better. Wd from pills is nothing compared to Ed from methodone in my opinion.

Ok I had a previous oxycodone addiction about 40mgs a day at most of Percocet. I was put on suboxone to kick this habit that was formed from a car accident and escalated by the passing of my father a few months later. Suboxone saved my life and I eventually weined off of that and was clean for over two years. Recently I had a tooth pulled and had oral surgery complications and began taking pain medication in moderation for the pains and then continued to take it when I really didn't need it here and there. I began to take the suboxone again and was fine and weining when the pain came back and I started to take a half a roxy at night when I had taken the 1/4 sub in the am which was less the a milligram. I have now kept the suboxone as a daily ritual but here and there more often I have been taking Percocet at night to relax and it seems to work even though I'm taking the sub. I do t wan to take both these medication I don't want to take anything and am ready to stop the pain med and just get off the subs too. Is there any suggestions you have as to how to keep my oxy craving down and wein off the subs too?

I was in the exact same situation. Don't take the roxys anymore you'll be fine with the subs. That medication is horrible to get off but the subs will work. Give it a chance. A year and a half ago I was on 9 30mg a day and then my doctor decided to bring me down to 4 a day I went crazy. It was Christmas Eve I called him and had him put me on subs. I took them for a month. Then I stopped them all together. I was afraid to get addicted to them as well. Good luck to you

No you will not die....my father, myself , both of my kid all suffer from this. I.personally think the best thing to do when this happens is to not fight it...just let yourself fall back asleep . You will wake up but believe me, i know how terrifying this is. One more thing you can do is to start counting as loud as you can in your head....this helps bring you back to consciousness

Hey I'm wondering if I've been on subxone for two years 8mg eachday can I take some Roxie's 30 just to enjoy my birthday with my friends without it making me sick.... I'm not concern with being addicted after this one day. I promise I'll be ok I get prescriptions for subxone every month.

I would strongly suggest not. I had a massive Roxy addiction for years and was on n off suboxine n subutex. The trouble is that if u take the two together it will very very likely abruptly put u into immediate acute withdrawal. I've experienced it and any good doc should advise u of such. Generally u need to be about 24 hours without either of the drugs in ur system before taking the other. Trust me DON'T mix the two it van be very dangerous and the acute withdrawal u get by mixing them if far worse than any type withdrawal u could otherwise experience.

I've been on prescription opiates for seven years! I've gone back and forth between subs and 15's and 30's between surgeries, or just running out of money! I've do digitized subs, just take them for three days 2, 1, .5 and stop! Drink a lot of water take mucinex and pseudophed and caffeine for the next few days! DON'T stay on the subs withdrawal from that is much worse! You must stay active, I mean really active! You will crash on the fifth day! The restless legs go away in about a week! I've done this and made it to work every day! It's not fun, but be committed it gets better!

This message is for the person calling himself "pleasehelp". You described my situation to a T. I had back surgery in '04 and was prescribed oxycodone through a pain management facility. 5 mg, then 10 mg, then i was introduced to the 30 mg. Well, I watched two people very close to me lose everything to this drug, and i now have made my mind up that i want to be done. My doctor prescribed me 8 suboxone, sublingual strips. I have been told that this will be enough for me to wean myself off of the percocet. I have built up a tolerance for these over time, and i need at least two, 30 mg perks in the morning, just to feel normal. This has been ongoing for way too long, is very costly, and i need to get off of these and get my life back. I am a business owner, in my 50's and have been bluffing my way through this for a long time now. please advise me as to what is my best option for getting off as quickly as possible, without the sickness that everyone says is inevitable, unless you are smart about how you go about the process. Again, i have my meds, so i could wean down slowly i suppose, but i also have those 8 suboxone strips, which i could split into thirds or fourths and take those for the duration until i am out of them. Is this enough? i have an appt tomorrow with my pain management doc to renew my script for the 10 mg perks, and also to look at an injured knee that i am dealing with. should i discuss this with him? As i said earlier, i have been bluffing my way through for a long time, so i would prefer to not disclose to him that i have a problem. please give me your best advice, based on the info i just provided. i am having anxiety over this situation. I have the 8 subs which i could use if that is enough to wean me off. or try to wean down on my own. i think this would take too long and i really cant afford to lose work time, being sick, nor do i want everyone knowing that i have a problem with my prescription medication. I am a professional business person and my reputation is my business. Please help!!!!

So I am using 8-10 30mg roxys a day after my tollerance has Built up so much over the last 2 years... How much suboxone would I need to start with to get started on kicking the roxys immediately? Cutting back has been hard and I'm trying that but I also can get suboxone strips that are the 2mg-8mg.. Whatever that means? So trying to figure out how much I would need to take becuase I can't be sick at my job or miss my job and it's demanding work so I would need to be functional and not sick. I don't wanna be high anymore. I just know cold turkey without suboxone will not work for me. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

Remember do not break up the 8 mg pills. They are not meant to be broken up cuz u get too much medicine too fast. I could do 2mg pieces and feel good all day
Now I need 4 mg of the strips
I hate the strips cuz half the time I swallow them or if aaccidently touch them with my tongue they dissolve right a way and I swallow the saliva. I heard they make 2mg pills but my Dr. Said they arent as strong. Im getting depressed cuz of this

I have the strips. So I'm trying to figure out how much of the subs I need to take to match the 10-12 Roxy 30mg I was doing a day... And then start cutting back on the subs to get back to normal life lol

From too much previous experience I would argue that k-pins, or any benzodiazepine used in large daily doses are the worst and longer WD than any pain med. With that said get off pain pills unless you actually need them.

With Subs imo the lower the dose the better. Now I mean a dose that makes you feel normal. Ive been on 150mg of oxy for 3 years. Went on subs and new about them enough to know not to take 8mg to start. That's just me. I started with a 2 mg every day for 3 days. I finally felt great. I know cut it in half and take 1mg a day. I know its hard to insert the strip being that small but I use a tweezers and insert it in my upper lip. Hopefully I can get down to half a mg. But I tried going off one mg for three days and fell into withdrawals again. I believe im addicted to subz now cuz I was on them for a month. Maybe too long but I dont care. Im happy, I can finally work, and its legally supplied. What pisses me off is its almost impossible to find a doctor that will take insurance so I pay cash. 200 a month. I will now be able to concentrate and find a dr that takes insurance. I also see a therapist as most Drs will require it. Addiction is horrible and it ruined my life but suboxone gave me my life back. NOW its important to know everyone is different and im just giving u my story. I tried a 8 mg tablet once and almost had a heart attack. It was like super speed. This stuff is extremely potent and works best in the beginning when you are in full withdrawal. Please everyone, get off pain meds or illicit drugs or you will regret it. I felt great on oxy for two years until I hit my ceiling and then the depression set in and the anxiety. If my arm is chopped off ill take Advil before I touch oxy again. Thats why they are called blue devils. Good luck! Don't give up.

It may be anxiety problem see if he will prescribe xanax or pins. Subs.will cause insomnia, or try subutex.
