Suboxone 8mg/2mg And Roxicodone 30's (Page 11) (Top voted first)

I am currently taking Roxicodone 30's each day. I have suboxone 8mg/2mg to help get off of these. I know the suboxones are the best pill made to help with the withdrawals but I'm wondering if for the firsrt 3 to 5 days when I'm having trouble sleeping and feeling clammy, if i should take like half of a Roxicodone 30 (which i have done in the past), as it helps me to sleep and takes away the clammy feeling? Any other suggestions that you may have? Thanks to anyone answering this for me.

Hi, I just started suboxone today and I have been on pain meds 4 13 yrs by the dr's and I wanted to tell u yr message really help me and I have a few ?'s Does the suboxone make u feel like a human again cause all I want is my life back? I don't even remember the past 4 yrs and also how long b4 I will feel normal again? Thanks 4 any advice

google"Here to Help, They have so many people that they can pay for your Suboxone. your Dr has to be the one to help you with it.I Like so many others when I first started taking Suboxone I didn't think it was for me.it took me a very long time before I started too feel normal. my Dr gave me 3, 8mg,wanted me too take all 3 at one time.it was way too much for me. I took it 3x a day not all at one time. Now I Would not give up Suboxone for anything. I Lost 20 years of my life. most of it I don't remember. Just give it time, you will start to feel normal again!!

SUBOXONE HAS A BLOCKER IN IT,IF YOU TAKE THE ROXYS WITH IT THE SUBOXONE WILL NOT WORK RIGHT.YOU WILL HAVE REALLY BAD WITHDRAWALS.THATS WHY THE SUBOXONE IS NOT WORKING FOR YOU,YOU CANT MIX IT WITH THE ROXY.IF YOU REALLY WANT TO GET CLEAN STOP TAKING THE ROXYS.THE SUBOXONE WILL HELP WITH THE SWEETS AND WILL RELAX YOU SO YOU CAN SLEEP.JUST GIVE IT A FEW DAYS!!

take more sub you should have no clammy our any other With drawl symptoms if you are take another half of a sub...and get of those asap no longer than two weeks or you are in for a real mess if you think oxy WD is bad you hasn't seen nothing yet we are talking twice add sick for weeks to a month of hell... (8 years experience oxy, and 3 yrs sub) have up on giving up!

2 30s a day is not a lot at all!!! I was on at least a min of 8 and I started getting 3 8mg a day! I started off just taking 2 8 mg a day because 3 is a lot! An I didn't need it! I think if ur finding them on the streets I think you should get at least a min of 5, cut them into 3 pieces after 24 hours of being opiate free take a 1/3 right in the am and another 1/3 around dinner time if you feel you need more cut them in halves and take half at a time 2 x a day that should be plenty and do so for 5 to 7 days! Slowly cutting your dose less and less untill ur taking tiny pieces!! I'm not going to lie you are not going to feel f***ed up ! But it will evade the sweats the restless legs the s***s and the pukes! After the 5 - 7 day of suboxone just stop don't take anymore don't take another pill don't take any more subs! as hard as he'll as it will be you do not want a life of suboxone!! I wish I stopped taking it after I got out of detox! Well here I am 4 years later stuck on suboxone to make me function and have a life and be a mother to my children i can miss 1 day of no subs but that's it! If I miss 2 I'm sick as s***, just like I was when I was on pills,, but at the same time subs saved my life who knows where I'd be with out them! Everybody is different if you feel like you need to take subs long term then get in a sub dr! Don't go back and forth with subs and pills! It's not worth it, I personally take 2 subs every day for the last 4 years! But hopefully you can stop after a week of detox off pills! Wish u luck!

im going on 4 yrs of oxys 3 to 6 a day subs work as soon as u take them sickness all goes away its like u get to start all over again

Hi I just read your post and I have a lot of questions that I feel haven't quite been answered yet I have been taking percocet 30 mgs for a few years and just quit a couple months ago I was taking suboxone 8 mg strips started off on a half a day and now Im down to a quarter a day to try and make it stretch out because i don't have a doctor and had to get them off the streets. I have been on the sub strips for just 2 months and want to quit them before it gets too hard i just don't know how bc i start feeling wds I have a 5 yr old son and don't have any time to jus lay here and be sick this is very frustrating for me because i don't have anyone to talk to and no one understands me the worst part is you think you're doing good because you got away from your main addiction but feel trapped still with the subs and noone believes me when i say I'm clean well clean of pills its discouraging Im finally trying to reach out to someone I just need some advice to try and get off these subs I don't want to be stuck in this vicious cycle of needing something to feel normal. The only good thing is they did get me away from the 30s please help me

Maya I posted a method of getting off the subs below! If u are already on a quarter that is not very much at all! U need to start trying to take them every other day or cutting your quarter in half as well! They say there is a detox plan off of suboxone as well!!! All u need is 5! But I you are already taking a quarter all you can do is take less and less everyday ! Your so low on mg of sub you should try to cold trurkey it or do it every other day! Sub wd is horrible but try to do it in 2 weeks! Set a goal for your self an if your not strong enough I suggest a dr to help you getting off them!

HI Desperatelovingwife, I was taking 15-20 30mg oxy/day and at first sub dr. tried 8mg once/day. I was still sick. 12mg or 1and half strip once/day did the trick for me. Yes it sounds like your husband took subs too soon. You NEED TO WAIT at least 17-20 hrs. after last dose of your DOC before taking subs. Hows he doing now? I realized pretty quick that I could lower dose after first week and not notice much difference. Like 12mg to 8mg to 6mg,4,2, 1 then 1/2 then off of them.

Hi Maya, Its hard to do but cut the quarter strip in half best you can. That gives you 1mg. Take once a day for a week. You can jump off then or take every other day for another week and jump. There will be some discomfort but very doable. Some OTC aids may help for a couple days but the wds will be very minor. I,m no dr. but have come off subs before. Good Luck

I just took my lt dose of suboxone two nights ago and I'm experiencing RLS and cold sweats. I'm not sure if I'm w/d from suboxone or roxys? I was up to 3-4 roxy 30 a day for 7 mtgs and i bought 7 subs in a matter of almost 2 weeks. I started big and cut down to slivers. How long will this feeling last? Thank you for all the support. I still have cravings but I'm afraid to get addicted to the subs now.

Hi Anxious, Did you come down from the 8mg. to .5mg. gradually? If so it shouldn,t be too difficult to jump off. I jumped at 1mg. once and .5mg. another time and both times weren,t too bad. NOTHING like oxy wds. Your gonna feel blaaaa thats the only way I can discribe it once the half life of the subs starts to wear off. The subs have an incredibly long half life. I could sleep both times I came off them and that was a big concern for me because of work. Good Luck. Post how your doing.
