Suboxone 8mg/2mg And Roxicodone 30's (Page 10) (Top voted first)

I am currently taking Roxicodone 30's each day. I have suboxone 8mg/2mg to help get off of these. I know the suboxones are the best pill made to help with the withdrawals but I'm wondering if for the firsrt 3 to 5 days when I'm having trouble sleeping and feeling clammy, if i should take like half of a Roxicodone 30 (which i have done in the past), as it helps me to sleep and takes away the clammy feeling? Any other suggestions that you may have? Thanks to anyone answering this for me.

You are incorrect about needing 2 days to feel anything from other opiates. I've read this from sooooo many people, and its purely false information. SWIM (and a few of their friends) take Subs during the week, followed by other opiates on the weekends. They generally take their last "weekday sub" around 6:00 am Friday morning and then their opioid of choice around 5:00 pm (same day) Friday evening; or approximately 11 hours after the sub. All desired affects are experienced as if sub was never ingested.

So, while I agree it takes some time (for another opioid to work) between ingesting a sub and then another opioid, I do not believe it takes 24+ hours, as a lot of people swear by. More like 12 hours based on multiple first hand experiences.

Suboxonehelp Could you please give me your email so I can talk to u. I just found out my fiancé has been going to a methadone clinic for 6mths now and has been lying to me about it. We have talked about him going to a saboxone clinic but I have now idea what he needs to do. This is all new to me but I am trying to be supportive but really need some input on everything.

U can just be careful, withdrawal when taken to soon can occur. U shouldn't feel to clamy, but sometimes its a mind over matter thing so knowing that you have then there is a good thing. But you will start to feel better the quiker u get the subs in your system. I will be praying.

Has anyone gone through suboxone detox, do any of you have any tips or info on how to get off, how to taper slowly so there's no crazy withdrawals? Please help. Thank u so much and i wish each and every one of u good luck on ur journeys!!

at first i used suboxone to detox from opiates.. if you are planning to not stay on suboxone you should only use it for a max of a week to a min of 5 days.. which is what they do in most detox programs.. but after i detoxed and i was all done with subs. i started to feen for opiates again so i went to a suboxone dr asap and now i take them everyday this is my 2 year on them but its either this or making a mess of my life.. i dont mind being on them everyday, i dont get high from them. it just keeps me going and keeps me from touching opiates. i think it is a miracle drug. over these 2 years i decided i was going to get off the subs. i take 16 mg a day mind you sometimes 8mg. depends. well it was awful you are on such a low dose that you should start cutting the strips smaller and smaller every time.. stretch your doses. take 1 a day then go to every 2 days. which may suck but get your body use to not taking everyday. they subs stay in your body for 72 hours so you shouldnt get sick for 3 days after your dose. which i find hard to believe b/c if i miss a dose i feel the same way. well if you arnt pissing out ur ass or throwing up ur not fully detoxing so stretching ur dose could be the best thing. if you srate getting sick well then take 1 mg or .5. which would be the tiniest piece ever.. i have never taken less then 4 mg a day. but i went back to 8 or 16 because detoxing made me so sick and i have a family i need to take care of.. when you are fully ready to get off the subs you will just do it and you wont be afraid of the awful detox week! i have a friend who got pregnant and she had to get off them well she did it.. she did get sooo sick but it was all worth it because she doesnt need them everyday but she does take them time to time for energy. which i dont get from it any more..

I am on 2mg/day for 2 yrs now
I've read so much about suboxone withdrawls and detox and they all say its worse than heroin widrawl which I'd assume is pretty horrible. People who have gone thru sub detox say the withdrawls last many weeks and I'm terrified of that.
Does anyone know of (from their own experience or a website support group like this) for how to get off of suboxone with as little withdrawls and terrible symptos as possible?
I wish with all my heart that I wouldve known much more about suboxone before I started taking it. I wish I knew to stop after a few days and not keep going.
But wishing isn't going to change anything. I know I need to gather the strength to get OFF suboxone. I hate being on it, it makes me constantly tired, and I'm always terrified that if god forbid I end up in an emergency situation where pain meds are necessary, I will be in enormous pain and trouble.

Honestly I could tell you a method but the best thing to do is look for doctors in your area suboxone is very expensive to start on the program but if you only want to be on subs for a brief time! You could put your self in detox program which is 5 to 6 days !
