I recently received small, slightly off-white football shaped (like brand-name Xanax), unmarked, yet scored on one side...Allegedly generic Ambien...Anyone know what it really is, or has the same product and knows for sure what it is? ## Was this ordered from a foreign pharmacy/source? If there are no markings, it is going to be difficult to determine exactly what this contains. All legal U.S. manufactured pills have to have unique imprints to enable their identification, but few other countries have such a law in place. It may be Ambien, or any number of other medications, including over the counter products. Is anyone familiar with this tablet? ## Since posting your question have you found out if this was generic ambien? I have recieved the same thing and am concerned as it looks noth...

Is Ambien CR (for long term usage) the same as the generic Ambien for short term use? What is the difference, what's in it? I take the teva 74 but have been on it for some years. I tried the CR at one point but I felt was a lesser dosage and it did not work for me at all. ## Hello, Allie! How are you? I'll be happy to clear this up for you. They both contain the same active ingredient, Zolpidem, but in the CR, it is time released, so it is supposed to help someone fall asleep and stay asleep. The possible side effects, as listed by the FDA, are the same, as well and may include nausea, dizziness, sleep actions, memory loss and anxiety. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have been using Ambien for the past 10 years....I'm a shift worker and since age 40 my regular s...

Can I take doxylamine if I am allergic to sulfa drugs? Had Stevens-Johnson Syndrome from Bactrim/Septrin ## Hello, Beth! How are you? I'm very sorry about your terrible experience. Yes, you should be able to take it, as long as your doctor approves. It is not a sulfa drug. Doxylamine is an antihistamine that's used to treat allergies and insomnia. Its typical side effects may possibly include dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth. ## Thank you so ,much for your helpful reply

name of sleeping tablets starting with A ## Hi helen, Ambien is the most common brand name I can think of in this drug category. In clinical trials Ambien has not adequately demonstrated effectiveness in maintaining sleep (unless delivered in a controlled-release form); however, it is effective in initiating sleep. Another brand name is Ativan, which is more geared towards relaxing and relieving anxiety. Is there a specific name you're looking for? ## Sleeping pill dene ke bad kitna der tak eska aser rahata hai......plz tell me

Midazolam or Verced is the benzodiazepine used in surgeries and for IV use in some states for "euthanasia". Halcion is close to the formula in Midazolam. Now, the pharmaceutical companies WILL NOT supply pentobarbitol from this country to be used for state sanctioned "end of life" indications. Midazolam was used for a termination of life in Oklahoma and the result was cruel and unusual. In Oregon and Washington state I understand end stage illness is legal for self use with pentobarbitol or Seconal. Have you heard contrary?

Hi, I was prescribed seconal for insomnia and when I went to my usual pharmacy, I was told they don't carry it. I then went to several of the big, chains Pharmacies and was told the same thing along with the fact they they wouldn't even order it. They recommended trying an independent pharmacy. I then went to several of those and was told the same, with the recommendation to try the bigger, chain ones!!! Is Seconal impossible to get even with a legit doctor's prescription?!?! If not, does anyone know ANYone in LA/Long Beach area that does carry the drug? This is insane. ## Hello, Walter! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. I'd suggest trying a hospital pharmacy or a compounding pharmacy, both tend to keep a larger supply of more unusual m...

Long round white pill with BL 10 on one side and scored on other. They arrived in film pack and say Zolpidem 10m howere I can not find them on the net. Are the zolpidem. Please help. ## Hello, Gatria! How are you? The only tablet that I've found that matches this description, including that slightly elongated round shape has BI (capital i) 10 on one side with a score on the other that is manufactured by Boehringer Ingelheim and they list it as being a Combipres tablet that contains 0.3mgs of Clonidine and 15mgs of Chlorthalidone. This medication is listed by the FDA as being most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, increased urination, headache and dehydration. Where did these tablets come from? I'll keep looking...

Is either seconal, Nembutal or tuinal still on the market? ## I have been using Ambien but it does not seem to be doing any good. Thanks, Wayne ## Hi Wayne, According to fda.gov, Pharmaceutical Associates, Inc (PAI) has discontinued manufacturing all forms of Pentobarbital (Nembutal) here in the US. Secobarbital (Seconal) has also been discontinued in some countries as well, so if you're really set on finding this medication you may have to travel outside of the country in search of other manufacturers. A lot of people tend to visit Mexico for these types of things, but I couldn't guarantee that you'd even be able to find it after hearing about all the health problems associated with its use. Have you talked with your doctor about trying any other alternatives as a potential...

I'm having the same problem. I wake up several times in the night with the new white pills. I don't feel rested. I looked up the pill to make sure the pharmacy gave me the correct medication. ## Hello, Holly! How are you? I'm very sorry that the Temazepam manufactured by Novel Laboratories isn't working for you. The FDA classifies this medication as being a benzodiazepine that is most commonly used to treat insomnia. It carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Have you contacted your doctor? They may have an idea of something that could help, or perhaps you might need to switch to a different medication. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I found a half white oblong pill with one side ending in the number 65 and the other side ending with the number 6 ## Hi Puma, With only half a pill the other numbers could be anyone's best guess, but I did come across a couple pills that may be suspects: The first is a white oblong pill with 6469 on one side of the pill and a V on the back. If you were to cut it in half you'd have a 6 on one half and a 64 on the other half. It contains 10mgs of Zolpidem tartrate by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals. The second is also a white oblong pill with M365 on one side and scored on the back. If this pill was divided you'd have 65 on one half and maybe half of an M on the other that could in some way or another be mistaken for a number depending what sort of condition the pill is in. It cont...

Ambien is not a Benzo, it's a Barbiturate I believe ## To clear this up for everyone that might need to, the FDA actually classifies Ambien/Zolpidem as a sedative/hypnotic. Typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, hallucinations, sleep actions and next day hangover-like effects. Are there any questions or comments? ## Zolpidem is not a benzo, but just as addictive. I was on it for years and cant remember much of that time as it causes the most horrible amnesia. Just got a new prescription for zolpidem. It is different from previous prescriptions. This one is round and pinkish color coating over a white center with marking on one side only M with a Z2 underneath. I cut them in half. Effect is different from the oblong, white pills I am accustomed to. Anybody familiar with these and are they zolpidem? ## Hello, Snooks! How are you? Well to be honest the yellow pills were not any good either. After trying them both i still wake after three hours and that is with other meds to make me sleep. I just had a drug screen and it came back positive for restoril I have never taken this. My Dr is now wanting to take my other meds away. I had a gastric bypass two months ago, the only thing I could have was promethazine gel, and sublingual Lamictal. I couldn't even take the liquid pain medication it made me sick. I only started back on my regular meds on December 23rd, and it didn't consist of restoril. So what do I do. This really has me concerned.
