Dr. put me on sonata 10 mg for insomnia, but I feel it puts me to sleep sometimes. However I wake up few times a night and getting less quality sleep, feel less functional next day because of less quality sleep. It has a 1 hr half life and is the mildest of all. I want to ask to try a diff sleeping pill, but nothing strong like ambien. Maybe lunesta? I don't want a next day hangover from one either. Any help would be great! Thanks. ## Hello, Ash! How are you? Lunesta could be a good choice to try next. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, funny taste in mouth, headache and cold symptoms. Does anyone else have any ideas or suggestions?

I have had insomnia since childhood, off and on (mostly on) and not that I'm retired, thank goodness I can sleep until I feel like waking up. I was on Ambien for about 10 years, and for most of that time, it worked just fine. It was a joy, to go to bed, knowing that I would be asleep within a few minutes. Then, a few months ago, it stopped working. I had heard good things about Lunesta, so I asked to try that. I have NOT been impressed. Once I FINALLY get to sleep (and this can take 3 - 4 hours), I sleep long and hard for several hours. But getting to sleep is long, boring, and aggravating. I'm in the market for something better. I have an apt with the sleep clinic - for March of next year. Nothing was available sooner. Terrific, huh? I'm on my third monthly bottle of Lunest...

My wife was taking Zolpidem Tartrate mfg by Vintage Pharmaceuticals. Does Qualitest distribute the same pill? ## Hello, Sheldon! How are you and your wife? Yes, Qualitest does also manufacture Zolpidem tablets. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, hallucinations, sleep actions and next day hangover-like effects. Is there anything else I can help with?

I filled my prescription with these in blister packs from india. They are generic zolpidem 10. One package was white and round pills with thin score line. Other package is smaller white rounds with wide score marks. All arrived from India. Fake?? ## I think they are real but if you chew, horrible taste! These don't seem to dissolve in my stomach well. ## Countless pills come from India, both legitimate and counterfeit alike. So unless you went through a licensed pharmacy there's really no safe way to determine if your pills actually contain what they're "supposed to" (outside of having the tablets analyzed by a lab). Re: post #1 - Thinking they are real and knowing they are real is a pretty big difference in my opinion; especially when it comes to trusting a foreign ...

SIDE EFFECTS ## I HAVE RETURNED MY PURCHASE OF AMBESLEEP BECAUSE IT DID NOT HAVE ANY EFFECT FOR ME..... I WAS ASKING IF IT EVER HAD DIARRHEA AFFECT ON ANYONE???? THANKS ## AmbeSleep is an over the counter supplement, so while they claim this is aids in sleep and has no side effects, neither one of these claims is actually proven and it is already well-known that some herbal supplements have just as many side effects as prescription drugs. AmbeSleep contains Valerian Root, Magnolia Bark, Melatonin, GABA, Lavender, Chamomile, Hops, Corydalis, Passion Flower, Magnesium, Vitamin B6 and Zinc. Supplements can also react adversely with other medications and cause problems with some health conditions, so you should not use this, without consulting your doctor. I have been taking 200mg of Epitech at night together with two Ivedal sleeping tablets. I seem to suffer from sleepwalking/sleepeating and doing weird and wonderful things without knowing about these and only know about it when I am told in the morning. Has anyone experienced this and if so what has been the recommended "fix" for this? ## The likely culprit here is the Ivedal, it contains the active ingredient Zolpidem. It has been known to cause these types of effects, in some people and, at least in the U.S. and Canada, is warned about in the drug monograph. Taking 2 of them may be too much for you. Did your doctor instruct you to take that many? Epitec contains the active ingredient Lamotrigine, it is an anticonvulsant that is also used to treat mood disorders. It is not know...

Green liquid filled gel pillpills ## Hello, Sandie! How are you? Placidyl has been discontinued, but yes, they were green gel filled capsules that had the name and 750 on them in white lettering. The FDA classifies it as a sedative hypnotic that was most commonly used for reducing sleep latency. It often caused problematic side effects, such as skin rashes, hallucinations and amnesia, plus a sudden withdrawal created the risk of seizures, so it's been replaced by newer and safer medications. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## My doctor prescribed placidyl in the 50's for insomnia. Worked well, never any side-effects. I was sorry when they took it off the market. Several years ago, my current doctor prescribed Ambien - I took it once and sleep-walked. The new sleep aid...

What's the difference between the ones with 5k1 and the thinner ones with the power button on one side and 10 on the other side ## Hello, Tash! How are you? From what I'm finding, they both contain 10mgs of Temazepam and have just been manufactured by different companies. The FDA classifies this medication as a benzodiazepine and warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming. It could also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with?

I want to buy zolpidem 10 mg from a company in India that I have never used before. Their website's chat said they use generic called Restonite which is supposedly the same as zolpidem. Has anyone actually tried this from India? Did it work or could it be counterfeit? Thanks for your help.

I have only been taking lunesta(1mg) for 2 nights now, but both mornings I have woken up with my forearm completely numb. The second morning was much worse than the first, so much that it scared me. Has anyone else experienced this? I also take 10mg of Adderall almost every day, could this cause a bad reaction with lunesta? ## Hello, Vic! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed. However, Lunesta has been known to cause some problematic side effects, in some people that take it, such as thrombophlebitis, so you should stop taking it and see your doctor to figure out what's going on. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and funny taste in mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you for the...

Hi. Kinda stressed over tapering off of ambien under my doctors supervision. Tonight I start taking 3/4 ambien for a week then 1/2 for a week and then 1/4/for a week. I'm dreading it and very concerned I won't sleep at all. I've taken it for about 2 years. He anticipates my sleep being disturbed more heavily by the time I get to 1/4. Has anyone done this before. What can I expect. Arg. I'm thinking it's going to be horrible. But currently with it I'm can't sleep past 6 hours at all. And feel kinda numb emotionally during the day. Thanks ## I forgot to add. I take 10 mg. ## Hello, Ajs! How are you? I understand your concern and yes, you will most likely have trouble sleeping for awhile, until your body gets used to being without the medication. I got zolpidem 10mg and in the brackets saw name aurob Is it generic name for zolpidem? ## Aurob likely refers to Aurobindo, who is a generic drug manufacturer. So this is likely a Zolpidem generic. ## Hello, Irina! How are you? Yes, Chris is correct, thank you! Aurobindo is a pharmaceutical manufacturer. Zolpidem is the name of the active ingredient, so that is the generic name. The name brand for it is Ambien. The FDA classifies this medication as a sedative hypnotic that's used for the short-term treatment of insomnia. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, sleep actions, hallucinations and next day hangover-like effects. Is there anything else I can help with?

It is the sleeping pill most commonly used in hospitals. it comes in doses of 15 and 30 mg. What is its name? It is not Seconal. Ir is a low potency drug, it's more of a hypnotic than a barbiturate. ## I'm sorry, but unfortunately, the color doesn't really help identify it. And, as to what it may be, that can really depend on the area, the preferred drug of choice can vary from area to area and hospital to hospital. For instance, out here in Washington, the hospital in my area uses Ambien, which is available as a 5 and 10mg tablet. Does anyone else have any ideas? ## Likely, you are referring to the Schedule IV benzodiazepine "Restoril" or the generic pill/capsule version. The generic name is temazepam. Interestingly, Restoril (temazepam) is prescribed for insomnia/s...

I found tablets with ntz 10 on it can anyone tell me what they are thanks ## Hello, Gerrt! How are you? This isn't available in the U.S., so I can't be 100% certain, but from what I've found, I believe this to be a 1mg Nitrazepam tablet. The FDA classifies this as a hypnotic of the benzodiazepine class, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Can anyone verify this identification?

If I split a 3 mg Lunesta and took 1/2 (1.5mg) at 10 PM and the other half (1.5mg) at 3 AM. Would that be the same as taking 3mg at the same time? Or would it just be like taking 1.5mg and 1.5mg? I would get the effect of just 1.5mg each time rather than the effect of taking 3mg at the same time. Hope I have explained this properly. ## Hello, Alice! How are you? You can't take half a pill and get the effect of taking a full one. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and funny taste in your mouth. ## Can taking Lunesta 3mg cause UTI? ## I don't understand. I'm wondering if I take 1/2 in the evening and 1/2 in four hours would it be the same effect as taking 1 x 3mg tablet. Or would it be the effect of onl...
