Is Tocoderm from Mexico the same as Ratin-A purchased in Mexico and used for the same purpose, namely for wrinkles on your face? I had 3 shots of Kenalog injected into my scalp on September 22nd. Within three weeks I noticed 2 "dents" atrophy where the dermatologist injected into my scalp. I have discoloration around the site as well but worst of all I have lost SO much hair on my temples from the shot. My dermatologist admitted the atrophys is from the injection as well as the discoloration. She acted dumbfounded that my hair had thinned out to almost nothing around the sites injected (temples & back of my head hairline). So I went in for another opinion this past week. I had mild psoriasis on my scalp, elbows, and a few on my legs. Within three days of being given an intramuscular injection of kenolog10 my hair began to fall out and I started getting these small dots in various places on my body. My dermatologist swears it is unrelated to my injection, but two months later I am covered head to toe psoriasis, including my face, and I have lost 80% of my hair. Which is safer Kenalog or Predsione? I have taken Kenalog shots for years but my doctor retired and my new doctor prescribed Predsione. Any reason? ## You may be able to compare the two drugs and their side effect profiles by vising the drug information pages for Kenalog and Prednisone. Hope it helps. ## Overall, it really just depends on how you react to any given medication, and what your doctor prefers. I'm a 49 year old male who took accutane in the late 80's not too long after it's FDA approval. I took two heavy courses of accutane and it did stop the cystic part but I still had acne problems. I also noticed my body has acted different since I took accutane. I get the IBS out of the blue, then it goes away as quick as it starts. My skin goes through periods of the acne trying to return then stopping for a few months. Now I have suffered my 3rd clonic tonic siezure in 11 months, no family history of seizures, never had a seizure before, and I'm taking Keppra to keep seizures from happening. How are you? Unless your doctor says it wasn't okay, all should be fine. However, if you start on the third day, or later in your cycle, then it will take 7 days to reach its full level of efficacy in your body to prevent pregnancy. That means that if you engage in intercourse, you'll need to use a backup method of protection, until you have taken them continuously for a full 7 days. I used 0.05% clobetasol tropical ointment for a month for allopecia and its been 2 months since i stopped using it because my doctor asked me to use it only for a month. I went this medication when it first came on the market in 1982. Yes, it cleared up my acne but I truly believe that this drug made me infertile. Does anyone know the stats on accutane causing infertility? As I have had 3 endoscopies and a colonscopy before the age of 43. I have chronic heartburn and problems with my bowels. One doctor indicated that I had IBS but I never was officially diagnosed nor was the accutane indicated for my infertility issues. I just received a prescription for Veltin and the mail carrier left it in my mailbox. The temperature outside is close to 90 degrees and when I took the tube out of box it felt extremely hot. I don't know how long it was out in the heat. I'm assuming maybe 4 hours. The box label indicates it should be stored at 77 degrees and it definitely was hotter than that. I called the pharmacy & they said it was still fine but I have read that the hot temperatures could deteriorate the product and cause potency loss. The tube I got from the pharamacy expires in 1 yr. Is 1 yr normal? It is for clobetasol propionate. Can I use it after the yr is up. The prescription tube is for the spray. I would lilke to know more information on tocoderm acida retinoico ## You can buy it in Mexico, for a lot cheaper and it's available over the counter. I buy it in Cozumel every year (I go on cruises). I've also bought it from Ensenada, Mexico. ## I buy tocoderm .5 in Algadones. I like it, but loved the results of epitrel better. I have been trying to find a jar of acid-mantle crème but Doak pharmacies no longer make it. Does anyone know if some one else makes it? ## There's actually another brand I found by the name of "Risabal-ph". They make an acid-mantle creme that's used as a moisturizer for a variety of different skin conditions (including dry, rough, itchy, irritated skin and even goes so far as balancing it's Ph levels). You can find a 16oz jar of it on amazon for around $43. I haven't tried it myself, but after living in such a dry climate for so long, I might need all the moisture I can get. I am 19 years old and was on accutane for 6 months last year, and now am facing some stomach issues. About 2 months after coming off the medication, my body started to change. In the past year I have lost about 20lbs, and am constantly dealing with stomach issues (indigestion, constipation, diarrhea, lack of appetite, acid reflux).
