Is this a generic 20 mg of ritalin??? I'm confused! Can't find a pic or info online please help me out ## Yes, it is. I think I recieved wrong prescription. It is a white capsule with a tiny half moon and 200 imprinted in black on both sides of capsule. What is it? ## ritalin ## Yes, this seems to be the Actavis logo and they do have one similar to this that contains 20mgs of Methylphenidate, the active ingredient in Ritalin, in an extended release formulation. What medication were you supposed to receive? ## They are supposed to make the person picking them up aware of any changes whatsoever. As long as this wasn't the first time filling it. So for them to not say anything and give you those, they can get in a lot of s***. Those are completely different than other adhd meds. Especially when you are told its 20mg and says 200? Anyone would be nervous about taking them.

What is the difference between Ritalin and Adderall, And how do you compare milligram for milligram amongst the two. Can Ritalin and Adderall both be used for ADD and ADHD? Or is one more commonly used to treat one or the other. I have ADD and use Adderall can I switch to Ritalin for the same effective result. what do the numbers mean imprinted on the tablet? I take 20 mg 3xday of ritalin slow release. just wondering what those numbers indicate? ## The numbers on tablets provide a unique imprint code that enables the medication to be identified in case of emergency. When looking up the imprint code in the databases, it needs to be able to tell you what the active ingredient is in them, what the dosage is and who the manufacturer is. That way if, for instance, someone is found unconscious with loose pills laying beside them, someone can check to see what they are and they would have a better idea of the possible treatments necessary for a reaction to the medication, or for an overdose. ciba ## Sorry, you have not provided enough information. This drug is available in both name brand and generic versions. There are many generic manufacturers and each one of them will make a pill that looks different. There are no rules saying that pills with the same ingredient have to look the same! The size, color, shape and imprint will all vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. The only relevant regulations from the FDA state that they must have unique imprints for identification purposes, but these will even differ by manufacturer and strength of the med. In order to identify your pill for you and tell you what it is, you need to provide the complete imprint from the pill, all letters, numbers and/or symbols that may be on it, as well as the color and shape. In Canada, Ritalin SR 20mg is yellow with a small black symbol-In the US, they are white but I did not look at the symbols on the pills.I require 6omg in the morning to wake up and I think that I got 2 white pills mixed up. I took 3 that had an M symbol on one side which I now thing was methadone which I am weaning myself off of.l am down from 50mg a day to 25mg. Hi, I found two pills in my sons room and would like to know their identity. White with 36 and N on opposite side. Grey with 27 and N on opposite side. I searched all the databases and found nothing. capsule white and blue ## Are there any markings on the capsule? It is the imprint that tells what it contains and the manufacturer. If it doesn't have any, it could be very hard to track down, since there are many capsules on the market that meet this description. The colors don't mean anything. For instance, the name brand Ritalin LA, which is capsule shaped has different markings, depending on the dosage, here's a description of those: Yellow, capsule shaped, marked with NVR R30, 30mgs. White, capsule shaped, marked with NVR R20, 20mgs. Brown, capsule shaped, marked with NVR R40, 40mgs. White/Brown, capsule shaped, marked with NVR R10, 10mgs. Seems that most of the generic Ritalin manufacturers are back ordered. All the pharmacies I have called are out. Is there another medication I can request from my doctor. I take 20mg 3X daily ## Have you tried actually going to the pharmacies, with your prescription in hand to see if they have it in stock? Since Ritalin is a controlled substance, a phone call will usually not get you an accurate answer, because they have no way of knowing if the person on the other end of the line is a legitimate customer with a need, or a potential thief. Otherwise, the alternatives, such as Adderall, may also be difficult to find, as we've had similar complaints from people that need to fill their prescriptions for it, as well.

I have been diagnosed with ADHD and Adrenal Fatigue. I take 5 20mg Ritalin in the morning. I also take 100mg. Of Topomax at night for prevention of migraines. I am exhausted ALL the time. The Ritalin barely keeps me awake till noon. I've tried both Provigil and Nuvigil and both made me tired. Adderal did the same as the Ritalin. Any ideas??? I'm sleeping my life away! ## Adrenal Fatigue is usually related to stress and over activity; which in this case, it sounds like both are related to the ADHD. Narrowing it down in this sense can help you focus your primary goal on treating the ADHD and not so much the adrenal fatigue that is likely a result of the tension ADHD may be causing. Is it safe to mix metadate, ritalin and respridal? My sons dr. had him on all three at once and he was like a zombie, so I stopped guving them to him. ## Have you consulted his doctor? There are no interactions listed between using them together, however, the problem was probably caused by the Risiperdal. It is a very potent antipsychotic and is well known to cause extreme sedation in some people, especially at higher dosages. What dose was he on? ## He was on 3mg of respridal. He gained an extreme amount of weight and even developed breast, which I thought were a result of the weight gain. After he was off the respridal he lost the weight but he still has breast tissue, even after exercise nothing changed. IS THERE A RITALIN WITH A900 ON IT YELLOW OR PEACH TONED ## According to the U.S. drug databases, the answer to this question would be no. While there are yellow Ritalin pills, their marking is completely different than this. (There are no peach colored Ritalin pills in the drug databases either). Furthermore, the imprint "A900" is not listed as being anything in the drug databases. Odds are that the pill you are describing is manufactured outside of the U.S. or possibly that the imprint was misread. I don't think this is an OTC medication either as I can't locate any related possibilities on google. white round scored one one side. Other side has large muti letter Cc as like a symbol ## Did you mean a GG imprint? Yes, there are Methylphenidate tablets with the GG logo on them, it's a generic for Ritalin that's manufactured by Sandoz. However, there should be additional numbers and it's only by knowing those that I would be able to tell you definitively what your tablets contain. Can you please post back with more information?

can you split a ER 20 mg pill of ritalin in half? (sz 780) ## No, the ER stands for extended release, which means it is a time released formulation and cutting or crushing the tablets could result in your getting too much of the medication, at once. This could result in an overdosage. Is there anything else I can help you with?

I went to see a doctor because i suspected i could have A.A.D.D. So the doc didnt give me ritalin or adderal, he instead gave me some Tan/light brown gel pill with no markings at all and when I cut inside, i found some oil and dark brown paste. I dont know what these are for, but i looked all over the web, ive had no luck. i just want to know what im taking is legit and not some placebo... ## You didn't ask him what they were?
